Sorry thought the Forbid part gave it away. Forbid Action Attack. He can't attack this round

As the dark magic hampers his sword arm, Sir Balin adopts a defensive posture, shield raised. Total defense.

{HP 15/15 | AC13 T13 FF10 CMD13 | F/R/W 1/4/2 | Init +3 Per +1 S.M -1 }Female Wizard (Manipulator) 3 XP: 5229

Just a thought. He technically can't take AoOs while using Total Defense. Not sure if it's a good idea or not, but trying to maybe grapple him might be an idea. If two of you help the third, we may be able to get him pinned, then tied up. Hell, I could even assist in that, I've got a 50/50 chance of granting a +2.

Drogan calls on Asmodeus yet again converting his last spell into infernal healing.

Don't attack into his guard, take up the flank and ready to attack him when he attacks.

Erodin adopts Drogan's strategy.

Ready action to attack once Sir Balin drops his guard.

Erodin, does that inclued the flank? You and Randu should move to flank and then ready as he does not get AoO.

Let's add +2 for flank and a total of 21. I am waiting for Randu to finish the round. Lyrysa do you want to take an action?

Male Halfling (HP: 29/29; AC: 16,t14,ff14; F +3, R +5, W+ 8(+10 vs fear) Witch 6

Randu notices the tactic, Playing defensive? Unwise...eventually we will wear him down unless he's hoping for a last minute rescue.

Hearing Dragon's words, he can't deny the wisdom of them and positions himself to the opposing flank if he can, and then readies himself to attack as soon as guard is dropped.

Pretty much same as Erodin

Lyrysa, Didn't you use your Arcane Bond to cast sleep in the round before? I thought it was once a day?

Total damage dealt to Sir Balin 15, excluding magic missile atm.

Feeling the magic releasing its hold, Sir Balin adopts a more offensive posture and that is what Erodin and Randu have been waiting for. They both strike, however the knight is protected by his thick armour and is unharmed by the ambush like attacks. Angered he retaliates at Erodin gracing his chest with his blade.

Thought this would be good because the intimidate should be wearing off soon, so I will take advantage of the -2 to saves to keep him at a -2. Stop power attacking and get some damage on this guy. I will smoke him next round to give anohter -2 to hit and then I will step back in.

Erodin, stop attacking so recklessly. His fighting prowess is above your own. We must fight smarter and ware him down.

Was worried Erodin had nonlethal damage = his current HP, but realized I didnt' account for the channel energy from Drogan.

Taking a step back from the fray, Erodin pulls out a potion and downs it. Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Randu should step into flanking with Drogan after his attack.

Sir Balin wast knowledge of combat and tactics shines as he quickly follows Erodin when he tries to withdraw.

Using the Step up feat here, if you are using a 5 ft. step?

Erodin still drinking the potion?:

While his experience put him close to wounded opponent Sir Balin fails his follow up strike.

Attack of opportunity: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Not sure who's flanking with who, but I'll flank for the other. Move to move to spot and draw sword as I move, standard to aid another attack on Erodin.

Aid Another: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 0 + 2 = 20 That's a +2 to hit Erodin.

Well damn. Erodin wouldn't down the potion in that circumstance. He would attack.

Seeing the knight pursue him, Erodin abandons his plan of drinking a potion. Instead, he lashes out at his pursuer. Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19; Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 3) + 4 = 13

Then he would keep attacking, taking help from a wizard of all people.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 2 = 19; Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 4) + 4 = 12.

Then he would try to kill himself for being such an incompetent fighter. Thankfully, Sir Balin is available to help him do that, since Erodin would would probably miss an attack on himself.

Still 29 Damage

"What in the name of all that is holy," Sir Balin sputters as the smoke wraps around him. Loosing his bearing for a moment, he steps out of the cloud, eyes Erodin and strikes again, the smoke must have impaired his judgement because he misses again.

Drogan's words are the last thing Sir Balin hears in this world as his throat afterwards is torn open leaving a gushing wound from which he'll never recover. Sinking to the floor he drops his blade and tries halt the blood loss to no avail. He doesn't seem scared or surprised, he has accepted this fate along time ago.

The dead knight on the floor is the only thing of interest in the cell save a few rags constituting a bed and buckets one for food and the other to relieve nature.

Almost covered in blood now is a silver and sapphire holy symbol of Mitra and while his sword, dagger and shield is of common craftsmanship, is his full plate and exquisite creation and his dark blue cloak has something special about it.

Thank you Randu. The Dark Prince provides the skills needed for me to grow in his image. I would hope you Erodin keep to your training and learn how to hit targets that are moving... He gives a little chuckle.

Drogan takes the holy symbol off the knight.

I guess this is the one the Cardinal wanted. The one Erodin has on seems to have been a decoy.

Drogan detects magic.

We should take the armor and cloak as well. I have been planning on training in such armor. This would give me an excuse to learn.

He walks over and stands in front of the boy.

Timeon. This loss and pain you are feeling is weekness. Your god does not care what happens to you or Sir Balin there. Mitra demands your prayes by installing fear into you. Fear that if you do bad things or make a wrong decision that you will be in disfavor. Asmodeus rules through love. Those strong enough in belief to gain his eye will be rewarded and favored. Those that are week he cares nothing for one way or another. SO I ask who is evil. The god that uses fear and opprsession or the one that offers only reward for faithful service. You have a choice before you. You can stand wipe away those tears and be strong. You can choose to serve me. I will teach you what it means to be faithful. Choost to stand with Mitra and remain in your former life and we will let the Cardinal decide what is to become of you. Now get up boy. Tell me your answer.
