The year is 800.M41. A killteam of deathwatch initiates is being sent to the fringes of the imperium beyond the Damocles gulf.

A terminator armor is 10 req. less than that, I think it's quite fairly priced

Well if it is really at the old values, then here comes my final loadout:
- Skapulan Bolter (70req)
- Stalker Rounds (5 Req)
- Vengance Rounds (Tactical Ammunition)
- Missile Launcher (10 Req)
- Jump Pack (15 Req) love the flexibility and could be nice for hit&run ... or just run ^^
Have also changes two skills after detecting that Space Marines obviously are not trained to Dodge nowadays(?!) and after deciding to go with the jump pack like a true Raptor! Removed Acrobatics and Silent Move +10 for now, for Dodge and Pilot personal

Where does it say about not getting dodge? Couldn't see that in the errata. Is that from the 2nd ed book?

Core rules p36 mentions that all space marines have Dodge as a skill.

Oh well good catch, then their character sheets are bugged as hell. As dodge is put as basic skill but unrained and awareness is even not skilled at all! Must correct that and expend the 300from dodge!

- Thunderhammer (30)
Alongside my Sig Plasma Gun, Servo-Arm, Mk VIII w/ TFIW(1) and Emergency Bolter, I should be good to go.

Phew! Yeah I was getting confused over the 2nd ed thing.
Ok so how do we sit with unspent req? I currently have 3. Loghir needed a few spare for medical stuff (seems a team purchase), I could do with changing my sword to a chainsword if there is enough. Dipolemaglock would be great for my chainsword (brings Counterattack into play a lot more easily) but far from essential and perhaps we could look at cluster mines, hopper mines, more grenades or some such. Any thoughts?

As for Mines and such, it depends on how this all goes down. Do we go to the orks or do they come to us?
If they're coming to us, yeah mines would be a good idea. If not, probably not the best idea since I doubt we'd have the time to deploy them properly.
...If we could take a Vortex Grenade, however, and lob it onto the Ork Horde from above...

If you guys have 13 req free, I'd ask for 4 for combat webbing (+20 medicae). Then I'd suggest chains word and dipole maglock (7 total) for Elli, since he's got counter attack and its a balanced weapon. Then just a couple of extra frag grenades?

history roll 1: 1d10 ⇒ 6
mk5 location: 1d10 ⇒ 3 AP 8 to a shoulder location? Does not do anything at all I guess?
history roll 2: 1d10 ⇒ 3
mk8 location: 1d10 ⇒ 9would mean a helmet, but it is stated that mk6 helmets cannot be modified. So I guess I just take the mk8 body armor with 11ap?
I am pretty happy, mk6 is awesome. But I am a bit lost with that two histories, especially with the first one as it does not provide a real change?

@Micrastur Browman has allowed us to choose the history we rolled, or the one before or after it (if you roll a 6, you can take the history maked 5, 6 or 7)

Second roll ... I'll just take the mk8 chest armor with the 11ap
First roll ... the next higher roll would be +10WS and +5Fel ... but it also states that 7-10 are only examples and are up to the GM. I would love some kind of boni to BS instead, maybe something like this:
"Gauntlets of the disciplined Wrath: It is said that this Mk4 gloves (AP7) were worn by hundreds of Devastators and Marksmen of different legions and chapters throughout the history of the Imperium. The gauntlets seems to absorb the recoil of any weapons fired by it and support the wearer in keeping a calm aim even in the most dire of situations. +10BS, +5Fel for the wearer."

Since I said Scorpelio would head down to the Armory to help prepare in any way, is there any in-game benefit to me doing so?
Since I'm, at this point, a Junior Deathwatch Techmarine at best, I can't buff weapons like a Forge Lord (I'm having a hard time saying Master of the Forge...that 30k focus though...) I doubt I can actively influence the gear that's being brought along for the mission.

High damage shots sounds good. Thanks for understanding. I really don't take pleasure in being the hold up.
So take a Lascannon for 30, Iron Halo for 40, a jump pack for 15 and a clip of metal storm rounds in case you need crowd control for 15.

Deathwatch says nothing on the subject. Why would there be an issue? Sternguard have had portable heavy flamers since 5th, horus heresy can even equip heavy weapons squads with them.

In my other campaign I wear a heavy flamer all the time on my Salamander - because: fire! Didn't even know they count as mounted? Thought they are simply "heavy"?

Only mounted weapons afaik, are chainfist, assault cannon and breaching drill or what it's called.

I would vote for brother Loghir or Averruncus and Oath of knowledge for sweet +10BS/WS against Orcs, as this mission seems to consists entirely of fighting Orcs, a straight +10 in combat seems pretty sweet.

As a player, I'd like to be team leader, but i'm pretty sure Averruncus is not interested in it.
So, I'm fine with Loghir as leader and Oath of Knowledge.
Squad mods are not really impressives, but the Oath's benefit largely make up for that.
