We're all waiting on the marsh/swamp. Sorrin is setting things up for the future as you're all doing your thing.
Sorrin got us an audition with Bethany Razor, almost. Sorrin (well I) asked about the sewers. Side quests galore!
Yet, everyone acts like he's acting "not in accordance" with the group.
Dunno. Kinda funny.
Its not what he is doing its how he is doing it. Sorrin is headstrong and determined but in his own way he comes off as self-righteous, arrogant, and uncompromising. He never thinks he's wrong but finds plenty of fault in others.
Also my character joined on the missing priests hook so that is going to be her focus. Everything else will seem superfluous. Astrianna is all about the money and adventure so setting up bakery's is not going to interest her. Embrianna and Torgue seem like there just along for the ride so your actions don't concern them.
With the three of us pulling in different directions, we are going to butt heads. A lot.
I just want to say though, that at the end of the day, no matter what is said in game, this is the most interesting game I am currently in, thanks in no small part to the DM and his ability to maintain three different conversations at once. Its a little late but kudos to you sir.
I'm fine with butting heads and some friction it really helps to philosophical alignment differences and it helps to explain why you'd work together. Just keep it respectful.
As a GM I like complexity revealing information in small segments and this is easy for me to do with my posting tendencies. I rarely rarely provide an absolute answer but give tons of clues along the way.

Hadn't thought of that. Belok might get Donovan talking.
And he might be helping now but he was undermining her position before Belok got to talking. "She gets like this in public. Might need a new Chaplain." Doubt that was helpful. Why the change in tactic now?
I read the new chaplain as Belok on a second ship.

For the more experienced players, here is my selection of spells on this outing. Any suggestions:
0th Level (4) Detect Magic, Create Water, Detect Poison, Purify Food and Drink
1st Level (4+1) (open), Bless, Detect Evil, Sanctuary, Obscuring Mist (D)
2nd Level (4+1) (open), Bull's Strength, Communal Protection from Evil, Delay Poison, Fog Cloud (D)
3nd Level (3+1) (open), Communal Resist Energy, Prayer, Water Breathing (D)
baldwin the merciful
Here is my take on the spells:
0th - good selection
1st level - Detect evil and sanctuary don't light my fire. Better to have those as scrolls. So many people are evil it just seems like wasted slot plus a the level of NPCs you've encountered there are ways to mask alignment. You get more out of doubling up bless, adding burning disarm, divine power, shield of faith, or Prot from evil.
2nd level - Delay poison scroll/wand, bulls str scroll/wand. I like Burst of Radiance, spiritual weapon, aid
3rd level good selection. I like searing light. Pick up scrolls: remove curse, remove disease, remove blindness.deafness, dispel magic
I play a lot of clerics and those tend to be my go to lower level spells.
Generally cure/remove/heal type spells I like to have as scrolls. I don't take up a slot with these spells but when you need the spell the scroll is handy.
Buffs like bull str, bears endurance, cat's grace are great in scroll or wands.
Just my .02c

Did the play-by-post list vanish for other people? I often read through other games but the topic/list has vanished! It used to be, Recruiting/Play by Post/Play by Post Discussion but now is Recruitment/PBP Discussion

Given the town, you may wear out your detect evil on everyone here.
I've never like sanctuary since you can't fight with it up on yourself.
If a PC needs Bull's Strength, they could pick up a potion or a scroll. Scroll would be cheaper of course and and leaves you with a spell slot. I like Baldwin's suggestions since you could use an offensive spell on that level.
For 3rd, Communal Resist Energy is just too situational. Unless you expect to be fighting a dragon or something else that uses a lot of energy weapons, it'll just be a used up slot. Though our GM said good selection, so something may be coming up.......

Or a 12 headed pyrohydra like my Rappan Athuk group is about to fight.
Seriously, resist type spells are great for scrolls but weigh heavily on a spell slot.
Chell Silves
I figured communal resist because we might deal with acid. When I think march I think poison, acid and fire.
Chell Silves
Also I think I want to get blinding ray or straight blindness/deafness. The son of Mordecai said lizardfolk that caused people to drown. If they are evil and it is mind affecting, protection from evil should work but if it is sight based the only thing I can think of is boost will or blind the enemy.

Regarding crating, I seem to recalled that the Eberron setting had a variety of useful homuncului. One in particular was a magical assistant that was able to work on magic items, so a group could supply it with the materials for scribing scrolls or making items and then go off on their adventure. Don't have the book with me right now though for actual stats.
Chell Silves
Yeah I did some bad math
Remove Disease x 4 = 1500
Remove Disease for today = 375
Remove Blindness = 375
Detect Evil(Which I still believe will have its uses) = 25
Antitoxin = 50
Assuming I can make a level 3 today = -187.5
Total: 2137.5
Preparation just cost almost everything I saved up.

I never played Eberron but I have friend who really likes it.
That cool little buddy to have.

I think I've gained 2 pounds since I got to New Orleans. The food is sooo good.
Sad I missed out on such excellent RP. I have to say Baldwin plays a pretty good Astrianna though!
I packed Astri's bags before I left so her inventory should be up to date. FYI she packed an entire personal size tent in one of her haversack pouches LOL. She will refuse to sleep in anything else. They're exactly 20 pounds it's really convenient.
Sorrin the Wayward
I was imagining a day trip. We camping? Besides, should be a pavilion! The personal tent can fit inside as private quarters!
Baldwin, sailors have... Simple weapon proficiency, anything added to that? And marine have Martial? Can afford it now, but thinking archers with composite bows, +2?
What's a marine stat block? 14, 14, 12, 10, 12, 10
Sailor? 12, 16, 10, 10, 12, 10
I don't care to be armed to the teeth, but should have some weapons to repel boarders or board adversary vessel.
Astrianna Sparacello
A knowledge nobility check?! Astrianna is all over that. A&!%+~+ butler.
Bri and Astri have some ludicrous bluff and disguise abilities. Both are + 16 for Astri without enhancement. The two of them together could probably get away with some serious shenanigans if we ever find a need.
Not sure how long we'll be in the Swamp but Astri always aims to be prepared
Sorrin the Wayward
Hey folks, Sorrin isn't sitting this one out... But will be in the background for the interaction with Hargrove.
Unless something so of the wall happens that he needs to put 2 coppers in.
He's still engaged, perception & sense motive rolls, etc...
If fighting come up, well then... He's right behind Torgue! LOL. Just kidding.
Astrianna Sparacello
Damn, Astri almost made that sense motive....
Still on schedule to be back on Friday. I love reading what you're all doing but I'm itching to get back to the action.
Chell Silves
That reminds me. We need to get a piece of like every ship for Track Ship Spell.
Astrianna Sparacello
Holy crap. If I had known about that spell we could have taken a sliver from the Albatross and tracked its location to Garr Bloodbane's treasure hoard.
All in hindsight of course. But yes we should get a nice collection going....
Sorrin the Wayward
Just a comment... I've been situationally robbed of more crits and solid hits in this game, than I've had the pleasure to roll in other games. Maybe they're are a lot more crits to come, maybe it's a good thing...
In the long run!

Link and request that happened long before you claim to be situationally robbed of the crit
I asked for the perception check, you probably didn't see the request, but it was there long before you decided to roll attack dice. :-)
Sorrin the Wayward
Oh, no... Not griping that you manufactured the situation with intent to rob.
Just frustrating because he's a crit build, sorta... And otherwise, he's not doing a lot of damage.
Perception, POV mostly. You're quite fair.
Not screaming injustice... Cosmic sort, maybe!
Sorrin the Wayward
Besides wussing out and using a bow, less damage, less crit... Didn't have much choice.
I got the hints, but I needed to draw its attacks from the others... That's why I invest in a high AC. Just doing the fighter thing.
Your DMing is awesome.
Chell Silves
You want cosmic justice? I tried playing a Kingmaker game on the boards. We had 6 encounters before I quit and I was dropped to negatives in 5 of them. Just so you know, 3 were because of a critical hit, one of which was a freaking kobold. Only one to drop in that encounter too. And I don't know what magic he used but the Slayer in the group managed to stay above 10 on every combat roll I could see.
Astrianna Sparacello
Lootz:
-Belt of Physical Might (+2 str and +2 con)
-Cloak of Resistance +2 (+2 to fort, ref, will saving throws)
-Headband of Inspired Wisdom +2 (+2 to wisdom, duh)
-Coin purse of holding (minor) (101 PP, 53 rubies worth 100 GP each inside)
Astrianna will take the coin purse if no one else wants it. That way Baldwin can have someone try and steal it off her belt and Astrianna can lop off their hand in the street. Or just kill them. Calistra, goddess of revenge!
Assuming the headband is going to Chell. Who wants the cloak and the belt?
Money once we cash in:
401pp
2221gp
4200sp
510cp
20 small diamonds (100gp each)
53 rubies (100gp each)
Total in gp: 13956.1gp
2791.22 gp per person
Chell Silves
If we sell the jewels, isn't that 13956.1gp?
Also, isn't the Baron 10,000?
I think that was the sorta group consensus, for those that have an opinion.
So 3956.1 total and 791.22 pre person.
Astrianna Sparacello
Wow I completely forgot the gems. Failure. Updating the post. It's correct now.
The Baron is 10,000 but Astrianna should be able to talk the Commandant down, especially if we capture Kaskor Thul.
What we actually do with the money is up to everyone, but I would love to buy the Baron with it. We have a while before getting out of the swamp though, so everyone has time to think about it.

Since a 20 Wis gives me another 1st level spell, I was going through the spell list and missed http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/h/deadeye-s-lore]Deadeye's Lore. +4 to survival ad do not have to move at half speed. 1 hour/level. Can I retcon that in place of the second Bless I prepared?
