The Razor Coast has drawn men to madness and slaughter since the world was young. Tulita natives, born from the same fire as this jagged coast, claim the Razor existed long before the world’s other lands. It is a crucible of flame cooled by the ocean’s caress and its mountains, reefs, and lightless depths teem with as many terrors as lustrous spoils. The Razor bucks the trappings of civilization in much the same manner the storm-tossed sea spurns the men who dare mount her. This is no place for the weak-willed. Untested souls are food for its storms, its fickle gods, its ancient spirits, and the evil predations of unfathomable creatures. No less dangerous are the men who make the coast their home and whose dark desires put most horrors to shame.

With skill unlocks Dinetta has a swim speed of 10' and very good stealth, she can probably make it out to the barge without alerting them, but her melee skills are not great by herself.

Does anyone have Dimension Door or something similar?

No dimension door sadly, or time to prepare even. Honestly, he's not going to let those people go. This is a chaotic evil baddie if I've ever seen one. We'll be killing him here and now, I think.

My plan right now is for Astrianna to create a distraction (through bluff or otherwise), allowing Sorrin and Dinetta to stealth through the crowd, flank him, and chop him to bits via sneak attacks.

Astri can lay down a silence to prevent him from casting spells once you two engage, or a Haste might be better frankly.

Don't hold back, this is the Big Bad of the arc.

Oh absolutely. But remember Astri is chaotic neutral!

I'm open to ideas of course, this is just my default course of action. We could try to get everyone to clear out with diplomacy, or turn against Dalang, but that may result in just as many deaths.

Need to see what happens with the false Jawbone first. And without flight or water walking, I doubt any of us can get to the barge. There are a lot of sharks out there. The crowd is also not on our side so a fight will likely pit us against a lot of NPC's plus the weresharks.

Didn't even get time to try the concoction from Featherton's.

Chell- They might be dead anyway at this rate. We either have to stop Jalang (if it is him) or save Jenkie/Lester. Regardless, we're walking into a meat grinder like Sorrin says.

Aatri's take- kill as many sharkies as possible, try to save Jenkie/Lester. All of my tactics have failed miserably on multiple accounts, so it's up to you guys.

There are three parts of the Razor Coast Campaign: Part 1: The build up of setting; Part 2: Night of the Shark, and Part 3: The Kraken Strikes

After we get through with this Jalang scenario the Night of the Shark" will be concluded. I'm leaning towards stopping the campaign at that point. It will be a clean stepping off point.

We sometimes allow DM/players some leeway or creative license to keep the game going.

It keeps the game moving and we're forgiving with interpretation.

Baldwin,

Is it something we as players are doing that nudges you (if not just - pushes you off the cliff) into wanting to stop the campaign?

I know I had a "less interactive than usual spell, apologies for that. I hope to be back and stay back :)

In considering why I'd like the campaign to continue, the reason is selfish? I'd like to see Sorrin the Osprey develop. But, I can imagine how that would play out and not put you through running the last arc!

Whatever you decide, it's always a pleasure playing in your games. You have to do what's right for you.

If you ever feel like having me in any of your other games, current and/or future, please do not hesitate to call on me. I know my two characters (or maybe 3 or 4) have been similar, but I can character act as well... whatever role/personality you need to fill a gap.

I tend to fill in the gap and I find that's usually the utility skill monkey (no spellcasting, no power damage - which many go for).

You players have been fantastic, I simply don't have as much time to dedicate. Up until last December I had the ability to game pretty much at-will. I owned my office building and I had a lot of privacy from my office staff. I subsequently sold the building and moved my office. Unfortunately, now, my office is right in the middle of the traffic flow, so I don't have the luxury of keeping the game open while at work. Thus, my posting and pacing has dropped dramatically.

Let's finish this part and see what happens.

My available time to post has also been greatly diminished. When I was in graduate school I was constantly glued to my computer doing work. This game was a great creative reprieve from all of the scientific writing and I thank you all for that stress relief (I needed it).

Likewise my time diminished, at one point I had 25 active games. Am down to 6 now.
