This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

To the north on an upraised stage, gold, green, and magenta mosaic tiles form an intricate glyph on the floor of this halfcircle chamber of a road vanishing into the horizon. The battered and blasted remains of a stone statue that may have once depicted a human adventurer lie scattered throughout the lower southern half of the room.

On the south side of the hallway are two double iron doors.

I left John and Fluer guarding the rear.

Not seeing anything of interest of this end, Truk heads back towards the door Lucrezia already examines and pushes it open.

Truk's meaty hands push the door inwards revealing The walls of this room are decorated with hundreds of mostly smashed glass display cases that seem to have once contained thousands of insects, spiders, and other arthropods. Yet more impressive are the larger, giantsized vermin that have been preserved and are on display. Dog-sized ants, man-sized spiders, and even a horse-sized scorpion are mounted in threatening postures, although in each case, the immense preserved monster is badly
damaged and, in some cases, in pieces.

As Truk asks about the lamb, the hundreds of vermin in the room suddenly lurch into violent life as phantasmal legs, wings, and heads reattach in a single sudden storm of hungry ghost bugs. The critters rush towards Truk in quick surge.

Rd 1:

The ghost bugs swarm over Truk in the doorway. An instant later, the verminous storm collapses on itself in a cannibalistic orgy, the phantasmal creatures tearing themselves apart and feeding on each other. As the storm of ghostly bugs flies and crawls through the Truk's body, leaving behind hideous wounds that look like bite marks left by decidedly human teeth, Truk suddenly feels himself growing fuller, as if this belly were distending with flesh chewed from the bodies of his friends. You have an urge to eat the flesh of your companions...it is nearly an insatiable urge.

Again it didn't seem to do anything to what is attacking Truk. Although there is now a fire in the far end of the room.

I don't have religion.

Actually, it doesn't matter. I already have a plus +2 resistance bonus to saves so the Magic Circle wouldn't do me any good anyway.

Technically this really is limited to Truk and the ghost bugs in the surprise round. I include the upfront folks so additional people could participate. Andrea you really aren't in position to observe and understand what happened. The half-orc blockign the doorway and the line of sight within the room. Your instinct when Truk yelled ghost bugs was to throw holy water.

Well, at least we have more light to see by now that I have started a small fire. :)

Lucrezia holds her action since there doesn't seem to be anything that she can do right now. She just can't go cutting up Truk to get at the bugs.

Did the channel seem to affect them at all or were they already gone before my channel happened?

"I don't know... Just get back Beautiful. All I can think about right now is eating you and not in the way that makes you howl", Truk grunts while struggling with something unseen.

The channel seemed to work, Truk. As the half-orc begins to eyeball the meaty dwarf behind him. That'd be hearty meal...maybe two.

This collection of vermin taxidermy was the lifework of a dedicated naturalist, the Pathfinder Ornato Geryis. The clutter of insect parts that lies on the floor mixed with fallen display cases and coils of rope that once hung several vermin from the ceiling makes this chamber difficult terrain. There is a spreading fire in the middle of the room from where the alchemist fire is burning debris.

Just what happened? Was this part of Thrune's curse on Delvehaven? We should get that fire put out as well.

Truk shakes his head violently trying to lose the dark thoughts. In hopes of distracting himself, he throws himself into the task of putting out growing fire.

Andrea helps Truk by using her waterskin. You really don't want to eat her Truk. It is just something those bugs did to you. You held yourelf back and proved stronger.

Grimm has create water and would do so to put out the fire. The flame eventually gets doused and extinguished by the flow of water the dwarf creates.
