Out of curiosity, anyone here have any experience with optimizing in White Wolf's OWoD Storyteller system? I'm trying to build a vampire character using the 20th Anniversary Vampire the Masquerade rules and...yeah, it's not going so good.
While it's hella easy to min-max, it seems as if NOT min-maxing is a dramatically less favorable option. All-around optimizing, heck any degree of well-roundedness, seems all but impossible at character creation. :(

The rules, from what I've been told, are for the most part identical reprints of the third edition rules for VtM. It's like 500 pages and tons of bloodlines, which leads me to believe that it's a compendium of a bunch of previously printed material with new art and a few fixes/errata.

Couldn't some people go around the back of the building to flank? This is one of the reasons I haven't dropped lockdown spells on the first group. I figured we would easily dispatch this group while the other two groups are blind and prone from sleet storm. It is also why I was going to block/tank with the large ant. My haste going off way before combat was bad ( I should have been specific when explaining this) because everyone would be moving at least 40' a move action the first 5 rounds.

An interesting tidbit with the summon swarm spell, its duration is concentration +2 rounds. This is different then summon monster which does not require concentration and is time oriented. Wonder why they made the distinction? Is it because of the summon swarm traits and the auto hit?
