Against plants, Grey's talents were all but useless. He knew better than to engage them directly. There was not much for him to do but stand by and see how things unfolded. Shade would have to be his primary weapon.

There are three plant zombies you can target: one is on the ramp and the other two are on the bottom floor .

The goblin wizard summons his favorite spell, a flaming sphere which rolls off the ramp and heads directly to the moss plant and the zombie next to it. By some intuition both of the plant creatures manage to dodge the sphere, the floating moss creature calling out in an alien language you have never heard before.
Keil's shot glances off the thick skin of the moss zombie, but Brok's blow manages to scratch the outer skin of it. Moss plant #1 takes 3 points of damage.
Praetor and Malzii cast their own magics while Vargrenz and Arlok prepare for the retaliation.
The moss spheres float upwards hovering perfectly in the air, one heading for Grezzor , while the other heads for Vargrenz. Arlok, this will trigger your readied action.

While Vargrenz has little difficulty fending off the lashing tendrils from the moss plant and the blows from the zombie plant, Grezzor feels the sting of one of them. Grezzor takes one point of damage.

Raaz watches the combat enfold and his eyes gleam with a maniacal fervor. "We shall crush these fools who stand in our way!" He then calls upon his unholy patron to grant him a measure of his divine power. (Cast Divine Favor on himself, Duration expires in Round 11).
Once he advances towards the others (Move 20', draw longspear), he adds "Watch for the ogres to return here. They may attack while we deal with these...plants!"

Arlok's glaive lashes out twice, biting deeply into the moss sphere and slicing it hard. Brok adds to the plant's wounds with a well-placed bolt. Moss Sphere #1 takes a total of 35 points of damage.

The moss spheroid, already staggered from its wounds, is unable to avoid Grezzor's spell and it is burned to a flaming crisp! It falls to the ground in a smoldering heap! Moss sphere #1 takes 14 points of Fire damage and is Dead.
Keil sends a bolt into the plant zombie pestering Vargrenz. Plant Zombie #1 takes 4 points of damage.
Shade, seeing the target pointed out by Praetor already destroyed, turns its attention to the zombie instead. It flies up and swipes at the zombie, this time connecting with a solid blow.

Malzii's ball of flame flies wide over the remaining moss plant sphere, which focuses its attention upon the goblin wizard. Hovering higher above the duergar, its tentacles again lash out at the goblin...but while one of them manages to contact his skin he avoids being grabbed by it.

Raaz points down to the bottom floor with his spear. "Looks like there are more of them down there." Indeed you can see two more moss plants floating into view, even as the two plant zombies move up on the ramp behind the zombie engaged with Vargrenz.
He then takes up position just past Arlok and thrusts into the plant zombie at the top of the ramp. His blow is deflected by the tough bark-skin of the zombie.

With the tendril toting plant man engaged with Grezzor the shadowy man sees a chance to strike. Nocking another arrow, his yellow eyes spy a change in texture of the plant man's skin, Ahh... Thinking he's discovered a weakness the fetchling pulls the bow string taught, aims and fires.

While Vargrenz maintains his defensive stance, Brok sends a fiery missile into the mass of plant-zombies, scorching all three of them! Zombie #2 takes 2 points of fire damage, and Zombies #1 and #3 take 1 point of splash damage.
Malzii finds the mass of confusion in front of her too much for her flaming missile to navigate. Keil arrow does connect but it does manage to avoid the worst of the attack. Moss plant #2 takes 2 points of damage. No flanking bonus as the plant is currently 10' from Grezzor.
Arlok steps forward and cleanly slices the lead zombie in half with a well-timed swing of his glaive. Plant Zombie #1 takes 14 points of slashing damage and is DEAD.

Again the goblin wizard wills the sphere to move, this time over his new assailant.

Then he focuses on a defensive spell, and multiple copies of the toothy goblin spring all around him.
Had completely forgotten that controlling the sphere was but a Move Action. Casting Mirror Image.

The moss sphere again fails to dodge the flaming sphere but it fails to take as much damage as he hoped. The sphere in turn continues its assault upon the goblin wizard, seemingly unconcerned about the extra images. The goblin finds his protective spell does exceedingly well, as two of his images save him from being contacted by the tentacles. Grezzor takes no damage, but two images are dispelled.

With his companions easily shredding the zombies and veggie-shperes, Varg continues to block the staircase to allow the casters and archers and pole arm wielding godlings more time to eliminate the rest of the creatures.

For an instant, the fetchling's eyes widen at the growing line of enemies advancing up the path. No wonder the ogres ran through here! Quickly regaining his focus, the shadowy man nocks another arrow, firing it into the back of the mossy plant man assaulting Grezzor.

Brok's alchemist fire impacts the plant-zombies though apparently the mixture is not as potent as it could have been. Plant-Zombie #2 and #3 both take 1 point of fire damage.
Vargrenz stands his ground, while Praetor takes a position in the central part of the chamber, his undead servant takes a position underneath his feet as its incorporeal form slips into the stone. He can see a group of plant-zombies moving up the ramp while in the area below Keil, the two moss spheres hover about 10' below the landing.
Arlok suffers a rare miss, roaring in frustration but Keil has much better luck here, sending an arrow deep into its side. Moss Plant #2 takes 9 points of damage.
DMPCing Malzii here...
Malzii shakes her head in disgust. "Stupid flame spell. Malzii likes Grezzor flames better!" She then flings her final ball of flame at the plant zombie...which flies clean above their heads, followed by several choice words in the Draconic tongue. Malzii's Produce Flame spell is now expired.

The moss sphere is burned once again by the ball of fire summoned by Grezzor and is looking the worse for wear. #2 Moss Sphere takes 11 points of fire damage.
The moss sphere suddenly withdraws from the combat, evidently having enough of dealing with the wizard's magic. The other two moss spheres have different ideas. Floating above the battlefield, they both lash out with their tendrils at the fetchling...

Flush with his success at having avoided so many tendrils, Keil smirks from beneath his lacquered mask. Unfortunately for him, his overconfidence gets the better of him. Thinking he'd managed to evade all the tendrils, the fetchling's attention wanes and before he is able to react one last tendril flies his way. Attaching itself Keil thinks little of the small coil of plantmatter, "Humph," that is until....
