Everything on Holbrecht has been updated (as best I can tell at the moment). I'm fairly certain I didn't miss anything.

@ Lin Zi
Oh my god...... dumping strength is a b$#+* .....
Ok you have a total light load carrying capacity of 26 pounds. (Total)
Your leather armor weighs 15, I switched your weapon to a club which is 3 pounds, thats a total of 18 pounds just on armor and weapons, that leaves me 8 pounds for gear....
Here we go, I moved as much as possible to Kachu that would still keep him at a light load, I did drop the 2 bottles and the bag of marbles down to just 15 individual marbles. Made a few changes but finally got you to 25.896 pounds.
Please look over both sheets so you will know what is on who, so your not trying to use something that's on him without getting it from him first, etc.
You have aproxx 38 gold remaining. I strongly suggest a MW Backpack as soon as you have 50 gold.

Okay! I will look over that sheet shortly and advise. Also, working on coming up with his paladin code as requested. Also... Lin I do believe you are the most Diplomatic of the group... you beat Nulyth out by 3 on your bonus lol.
As far as the group name... I'll have to think on that.
Nulyth Shenir |
Only thing I see that's not on the sheet is Nulyth's archetype (Undead Scourge), not sure if that's an issue for you or not. Other than that the only other issue I have is cosmetic (age/height/weight). I wanted to use the preferred age category for planetouched in Golarion which follows the standard human categories, so his listed age should be 20, height 6'3", and weight 210 pounds.

Two new items have been added to the campaign information tab:
Player Hand Outs
Enviromental Considerations
Also current in game location, date and weather has been added to the tab.

Has anyone heard from nefer? (Skorn) I sent him a PM but he hasn't answered and I need to find out if he is going to table #2 as Nefer or if he is going to use the new character here.
He posted in another game we are in together 12 hours ago.
Everything looks correct on Holbrecht's sheet.
Neferteri Sandyfoot |
@ Skorn

I left the skill monkey slot open for you if you want it.
Please make a decision on which table and which character you are playing ASAP.
I am happy with group 1, but put me where you need me the most.
I am down at the beach with family. It was advertised to have wifi but it is so poor as to be unusable. Sorry for my delay. I'll be home tomorrow.

Ok I have decided to leave you at table #1. I just need to know which character you are going to play so I can get everything put into herolab and generate your official character sheet..

Okay... bwatford, here's Nulyth's Code. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions or recommendations.
Nulyth’s Code:
• I will protect my allies with my life. They are my light and my strength, as I am their light and their strength. We rise together.
- I will never abandon my charges while life still lingers in my limbs. If necessary I will give my life valiantly to preserve those underneath my protection.
- I shall never leave a fallen comrade behind. I will make every attempt to rescue or retrieve them, even if my actions cause my life to become forfeit.
• I will seek out and destroy the spawn of the Rough Beast. If I cannot defeat them, I will give my life trying. If my life would be wasted in the attempt, I will find allies. If any fall because of my inaction, their deaths lie upon my soul, and I will atone for each.
- I will actively seek out and destroy any cult of Rovagug. I will not abide their presence and shall purge their kind with righteous fire. I shall strive with all my might to achieve this goal.
- I will destroy any mindless undead or beasts as well as anything related to Rovagug as they are beyond redemption.
- I will neither offer nor accept quarter from any undead for they are an abomination and must be purified.
• I am fair to others. I expect nothing for myself but that which I need to survive.
- I will heal the wounded and weary, and shall not expect payment or reward for my services.
- For that She would have given all for me, I too shall give for Her. I shall tithe 15% of all my earnings to the church or I shall further the cause of the church with my tithe.
- I will grant mercy and asylum to those whom request it.
• The best battle is a battle I win. If I die, I can no longer fight. I will fight fairly when the fight is fair, and I will strike quickly and without mercy when it is not.
- I will not use deceitful trickery to win a fight in which my opponent is honorable; however, I will use whatever means necessary to defeat my enemy should they prove to be anything less than honorable.
- I will treat every battle as if my last and shall fight with all my strength.
• I will redeem the ignorant with my words and my actions. If they will not turn toward the light, I will redeem them by the sword.
- I will offer the wicked opportunity to repent for their sins; if they refuse I shall offer them an opportunity for a quick death.
- I will embrace the repentant as a brother and shall forgive them of their sins; however, I will ensure they seek atonement for their life of depravity.
• I will show the less fortunate the light of the Dawnflower. I will live my life as her mortal blade, shining with the light of truth.
- I shall never willingly tell falsehoods.
- I shall never willingly use poisons or other such vile tactics.
- I shall not abide slavery and will make an attempt to free slaves from their bondage whenever possible.
• I will not abide evil, and will combat it with steel when words are not enough. I do not flinch from my faith, and do not fear embarrassment. My soul cannot be bought for all the stars in the sky.
- I will not allow evil to flourish in this world, nor shall I commune with evil unless to achieve an end of great import.
- No words shall cause me to doubt my goddess, nor will I ever turn my back to her.
• I will respect the laws of the land which I know to be just (fair and good). Whenever in doubt, especially when travelling abroad, it is the spirit of the Law I shall follow, if ever the letter of the law is corrupted or unknown.
• Each day is another step toward perfection. I will not turn back into the dark.
- I am mortal and cannot achieve perfection in this life, yet I shall strive to be the shining example against the darkness of evil and indifference.
- I shall uphold my ideals even in the face of death, never shall I renounce the Everlight.

Ok lets run over a few house rules for the campaign.
1. Natural 20's are automatic critical's if the creature struck is not immune to them. You DO NOT have to roll to confirm these. Other numbers within your critical range still have to be confirmed as normal. Also there is a chance (determined by the GM randomly) of something special happening during a natural 20 critical.
2. Natural 1's are always fumbles. A natural 1 on an attack roll will usually have an effect (determined randomly by the GM).
3. All monsters and creatures are effected by the natural 1 rule above as well. However only named bad guys will get the natural 20's rule above. If they are not a named bad guy then they have to confirm a natural 20 critical just like normal and get no special effect.
3. We will be using Hero Points in the game, however they are story based and not level based. So you DO NOT start with any and they will be handed out by the GM as part of the story progression and not gained at every level. You can have a maximum of 3 in the characters possession at anytime unless you choose a feat that changes that.
4. We will be using the Ultimate Campaign Downtime Rules for downtime in the game if you so choose to use them. Otherwise you can just have your character work a skill or trade for a few gold during the downtime days. Downtime will be handled mainly in the discussion thread and not in the main play thread. I also will be awarding the three types of capital listed in the downtime rules at times during the game, Goods, Labor, Influence and Magic. If your character is awarded capital and you do not intend to use the downtime system then you may give it to another player or sell it for its earned cost.
I think that is all of them........ If you have any questions feel free to ask them.
bwatford |
5. If any of us should forget these rules incidentally (as opposed to categorically) we'll all promise to take this in stride...? ^^;
No if you forget, you will be taken out and flogged until the point of death and then you will be healed and flogged again. Do I make myself clear.
If you continue to forget we will write them in your own blood across the monitor you now look at.
Is that what you mean by in stride? LoL
But I guess since I will be processing the players actions, its pretty much on me not to forget. So maybe I will be hanged at dawn if I forget.
(Takes sharpie from stack and writes rules on sheet-rock wall beside computer. I got this.)
Holbrecht Bastionne |
GM, be prepared in case there's backlash. Crits and fumbles (especially fumbles) seem to be a real hot topic on the forums here. I don't mind them personally (and even use a 1= -10, 20= +10 on skill checks in my games), but a lot of people rally against fumble rules.
It's entirely possible some people would even quit games over a rule as such. I had one quit one of my games because I disallow take 10/20, and I had even posted the houserule in the recruitment.
bwatford |
Well the fumbles are only during attack roles, not skill checks. Plus with the access of hero points and critical hit bonuses I believe it is more than fair and adds life to the game.
If anyone objects to using them, we can remove them from effecting that character but that character will give up both the critical hit house rule, the fumble houserule and access to hero-points in return. The three are a package deal.
Nulyth Shenir |
I'm down with the house rules. I've played with super crits and fumbles before, I don't mind them at all. I think it can add a lot of fun to the game, our PCs are just like us... not perfect. We all make mistakes.
Holbrecht Bastionne |
Sorry to be so adamant about it, but you chose a name for the group before most of the members even chimed in.
I understand the backstory connection for your character, but I personally am not a fan of the name and in character Holbrecht would not want to be in group that has been originally all but wiped out except for one survivor.
The name holds no bearing for any of the other members, and I may be presumptuous, but I imagine once we meet one another we will want a name that best represents every member equally.
Holbrecht Bastionne |
I just noticed after I posted over here. Again, I'm sorry to be such a stick in the mud over it. It's just the way the Player's Guide makes it sound, our group name will represent us throughout the entire campaign, or at the very least the entire 1st book.
Alexander Pierpoint |
I wouldn't worry about it too much. ^^ Like I said, Alexander will roll up the flag as soon as our group's assembled and we can then talk about another name -- if we even want one for the group.
Nulyth Shenir |
I nominated Lin as our party leader since she has the highest charisma stat and the best social skills. Nulyth is decent at diplomacy with a +6, but he can't match Lin's which is +9.
Also... now that I finally caught up with the barrage of In Game posts... lol, I shall make Nulyth's entrance.
As far as a group name goes, I'm still unsure. I'd like to try and get a feel of all the character personalities a little better before making a decision.
And lastly... bwatford, with Nulyth being from Wati, what are your thoughts on what his level of comfort would be with business owners and the like? Given that he's very obviously different than most of the population I would think they might be familiar with the strange boy, but maybe don't actually know him?
Also, as far as living arrangements go, my thoughts on Nulyth would be that he recently would have left his parent's home to seek out his own path.
Holbrecht Bastionne |
As for voting a leader, we should be making the decision in character. Regardless of the non-perceivable number that is Diplomacy, it would need to be based on how we interact with one another.
There could be some clashes of personality between Lin and any of the other members, but then we are dealing with her in that position just because she has a higher + skill just by looking at her sheet.
Without looking at the numbers, it could be Alexander just for the way he is taking charge with the recruiting. Or Nulyth, as a follower of Sarenrae, may just come across as someone with compassion or mercy. I don't see me, just for the fact that people are secondary interests to me, just under architecture and machinery. Holbrecht sees people as the backdrop of a city, and the buildings as the centerpiece.
Lin Zi |
Yeah, Lin's exceptionally young, I really doubt anyone will accept her as leader without some serious convincing by her. That said, I think Lin would make an excellent party SPOKESPERSON, not leader. She has excellent social skills and is good at seeming more naive and inexperienced than she actually is.
Nulyth Shenir |
To be honest... I see Nulyth taking charge as follower of Sarenrae, but also given that he is very overprotective of the people he is protecting. I picked up the Overprotective drawback because I feel it fits his personality perfectly.
bwatford |
And lastly... bwatford, with Nulyth being from Wati, what are your thoughts on what his level of comfort would be with business owners and the like? Given that he's very obviously different than most of the population I would think they might be familiar with the strange boy, but maybe don't actually know him?

He is known in Wati, never exactly fit in to the scene but is not uncomfortable with it.
Your parents would live in the southern part of the Asp district in a modest lower-upper middle class house.

@ Neferteri
Ok, I have everything included in your herolab sheet. However I did find the following issues that need to be corrected:
You overspent by 2 gold pieces. We won't worry about this one unless you want to change something but you are busted broke and will need to get someone to let you bunk with them and help pay for any extra cost you may incur. You also have no trail rations or waterskin and in the desert that may become a problem unless someone can create water for you.
Kelish and Osiriani are not permitted as starting languages. However since you are from Wati we will overlook this issue so don't worry about it.
You are at a medium load of 36.5 pounds. If you wish to be light you will need to be at 24.75 pounds or below.
Look over and verify that everything is correct and let me know of any changes.
Neferteri Sandyfoot Official Character Sheet
Once we get anything changed you would like and I get a thumbs up from you then you can join in the play thread at anytime.
Again welcome aboard.
Holbrecht Bastionne |
So, I think it's kind of funny, but the process I used in game to come up with the suggested name, was actually what was happening as I typed. There was, however, a little liberal use of the thesaurus.
Holbrecht Bastionne |
This is just a heads up. I will have limited accessibility due to travel from 25 Jul until 9 Aug. I will have my computer, but will only be able to post as the wife and available internet access allow.
Holbrecht Bastionne |
Thank you, but not likely. We are driving halfway across the country to visit the wife's family. But I told her I'm bringing my laptop, so I at least having something to do besides stare at the walls.
Holbrecht Bastionne |
Sadly, the OOC reasons I didn't like either Seekers or Companions is because of their pre-existing literary references. Terry Goodkind and DragonLance. That and they are fairly common or frequntly used names it seems.
However, Holbrecht had none of those same issues, so I couldn't really present them.
