@Aubrey: Did I need two acrobatics check on my last turn (one for moving to O10 and one for charging to M8) or would one check have done both? I rolled two just in case, but I was just curious for my next turn.

Jareen's ball of force hits the defiler square in the chest. But encased in ice like he is, he is impossible to move.

Map updated.

The dark sorcerer unleashes the power of utter cold on his enemies, buffeting them with freezing winds.

Minor action: curse Th'Kal.
Standard action: blast Th'Kal with a Bitter Storm
Close Blast 3, so only affecting Th'Kal. 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 v Fort, damage 1d6 + 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + (2) + 6 = 14 cold and necrotic and the target is pushed 3 squares to P11 and immobilised until the end of Zavox's next turn.
Action Point: unleashes a Freezing Vortex, Burst 3 within 10 squares centred on M13, catches everyone except Safier.
Arakan 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 to hit
Gart 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 to hit
Jareen 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24 to hit
Furio 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 to hit
Th'Kal 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 to hit
On a hit, the target takes 2d8 + 12 ⇒ (6, 2) + 12 = 20 cold and necrotic, is slid 3 squares, and is blinded until the end of Zavox's next turn. It also creates a zone of falling snow (delineated by the large box on the map) which obscures vision, providing concealment to targets one square away and total concealment for targets further than one square.
EDIT: looks like hits on Arakan and Jareen. They are slid to O15 and K17 respectively.

As Th'Kal, Arakan and Jareen are rudely blasted against the ice pillars, more entombed undead erupt to grab at them.

Arakan: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 v AC, damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 cold damage and grabbed EDIT crit, max damage
Jareen: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 v AC, damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 cold damage and grabbed
Th'Kal: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 v AC, damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 cold damage and grabbed

Frightened by whatever this monster is, Safier for a moment contemplates running, rather chancing the Hejkin than....whatever this is. But somehow, she finds herself moving forward, towards the storm, a plan brewing in her mind. She starts forward to slip upon the ice, falling prone.

I was attempting to move to I14. Do I make any headway at all? Also can I still use the standard to at least stand up?

@Safier:It's a move action to stand (which you can use your standard to trade in for a move).
But - you might not want to. You can still cast from the ground (you take a -2 penalty for being prone) AND being on the ground may actually help you - since you're harder to hit from ranged attacks.

A decent idea, but the total concealment prevents me from seeing the defiler. I was hoping to move close enough where I could use the minor eye thing I have to 'see' him, then cast through the concealment, the dice just said no. Plus he's too far for me to blast anyway. Though now that you mention it, I could try to free you guys instead. Let me do that instead of standing then.

You just feel bad for always critting me... who am I kidding? You don't feel bad about that. ;)

Arakan just got smacked around something fierce, and he can only think of one thing he needs to do, and do it immediately. Save his own ass. First, he just needs to get out of the grip of whatever holds him. "Get off me."

Once away he tries to collect himself and his thoughts, focusing his attention on just surviving.

Minor, Majestic Word on self, surge+4 and slid to N14 (just directly away from his holder since he is blind)
Standard, Second Wind

I'd feel bad if I killed you. But hurting you grievously? Water off a duck's back.

Even as Arakan gets his act back together and gathers himself, he feels his life force being drawn away from himself and into the defiler.

The first surge only gives you half the hp back, though your second wind gives you full hp. Defilers, eh?

Now it's Gart's turn.

Th'Kal tries lashing out with his lower claws in an attempt to get free of the skeletal grip... when that apparently doesn't work, he resorts to using his axe.

Minor Act: Thri-Kreen Claws vs the skeleton holding him.
Kreen Claws: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 vs AC,
If it hits, Damage: 1d8 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 1 = 13.

I don't think there was anything to save against. I was assuming that the immobilization was turn dependent and not save dependent -- I think same with the blindness. It will fade after Zavox's turn.

The skeletal arms holding Jareen continue to claw at him.

Map isn't loading well at work today. I swear sometimes it's a crapshoot if google works here or not. I had it up briefly before IE crashed, and it looked like I would be able to Lightning Strike the arms on Jareen, then arc it to the Defiler. If so that's what I would like to do, if not, priority on getting Jareen free. Also crawl forward two squares, please.

Staying prone, Safier sends out another arc of lightning.

Lightning Strike: 1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 - 2 = 20

Arakan leans against the pillar, glaring at the old man tossing storms at them. He has a chance to get up close with the immobile being, and finally sink his blade into its flesh. He draws the blade across the pouch of his glove, slipping the toxins across it. He strides comfortably across the slippery surface, determination set on his features. He needs this thing to be vulnerable to his talents. He taps the blade while he walks, getting the material to start to ring, he adds a touch of arcane energy and it resonates into a vibrating blade of power. As he arrives he drives it hard into the man.

The vibrations carry through the stuck creature, and as the carry through Arakan recognizes his vulnerability out in the open, and 'cuts' a hasty retreat. He slashes at the eyes, to blind his movements and allows him to slip away back toward the safety of Th'Kal.

Minor, use poison gloves to apply bloodroot poison (since he wouldn't have before until he was ready to strike).
Move to M9, Acrobatics 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18, yay, he doesn't fall

Standard, Slayer's Song, 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 vs AC, (yay crit! I think he pissed Arakan off). Damage 2d4+5 = 13, +1d6 ⇒ 5 for crit
Hit: grants CA to me and my allies (save ends).
Effect: Until EoE, whenever I hit an enemy, that enemy grants CA to me and my allies until EoMNT.
+Bloodroot poison: takes 6 extra poison damage, and it is dazed (Save Ends).

Action Point (now that it provides CA to me, and a chance to get away)
Fleeting Spirit Strike, 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 = 28 vs AC, damage 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10 plus SA 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4
and shift 3 squares to P10

Second Wind gives you a boost to ALL defenses (including AC).

Yes, +2 to all defences including AC. So I think it'll miss, and anyway Safier dealt with it shortly after.

Pillar man is already dealt with. I just re-read and realised I was far from clear, but there is nothing to attack near Th'Kal. You can have those rolls and reconsider your turn.

Stand from prone. I guess I can't move two because two per turn? If I can move two, I move to N12.

If I need acrobatics to stand, 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Standing from prone is a move action, for which you don't need an Acrobatics check, leaving you with a minor action and a standard action. For your information, a charge is a standard action and you have the movement to get into melee with Zavox, plus your Acrobatics check was enough to stay upright while charging.

Not that I'm suggesting tactics or anything...
