Wultram strides to the other side of the boat and releases his other hand from his spear and charges it with negative energy as he tries to slam it against the creature. "Die you damn overgrown lizard!" The man yells.

Will's up.
Rehil watches in stunned disbelief as the dinosaur savages Cole. He's further amazed that the warforged survives at all. What did I let myself in for?
Cole.
Cole's legs buckle under the power of the attack. The metal of his shoulder groans as teeth wrench it into a mangled mass. The thick liquid that courses through his warforged veins splashes out across his armor, the deck, and even up onto Cole's own face-plate. Almost instantaneously, a second sound responds from within the fighter's great body… a building, pulsing, shuddering sound like some arcane engine grinding to life inside the warforged's chest.
At the sound, Cole seems to rally a bit, grunting his thanks to the halfling as he swigms his hammer once more... only to have it slip dangerously in his weakened fingers.
Rage and attack.

This boat just isn't big enough to avoid those teeth, but if it attacks Cole again he's finished. Rehil crouches behind the rail and fits another arrow to his bow. If I stand and fire, he'll get another shot at me. The elf hesitates.
Delay and hope someone whacks it dead. If it's still alive on Cole's initiative, stand and deliver.

Grazzat.
Map updated. Note that Will is not where he stated he was as the square he wanted to move into was already occupied by Fred.
Grazzat Golden-Son
Grazzat tries for another stab with his spear, but again fails to penetrate the beast's defenses, his mind more focused on avoiding an attack, rather than landing one of his own. Self-preservation was a natural instinct, and a useful one. It seemed to be one that his new allies lacked. "Defend yourselves, fools!" He scolds.

Wultram raises his hand again reaching for the neck of the beast. "Dead foes kill none." He replies to the lizardman. He doubts if he chose right as said foes teeth snap into William. "MEDIC!" Wultram shouts drilled response escaping him, old habbits die hard. They aren't paying us well enough for this.

Rehil draws another arrow from his quiver and nocks it. He tries to find the still place where eye, mind, and hand act as one. And looses.

AoO on Rehil as he's in reach: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 to hit, 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 = 13 damage.
As Rehil takes aim, the creature gapes and sinks its needle fangs into his shoulder and chest. The elf collapses, streaming blood, and the beast begins trying to drag him into the water.
Ouch! Portforged.
Cole.
The shuddering sound continues as Cole steps nearer the side of the boat, looking for a clearer lane to swing his massive hammer (5' step to J.16). Once again the warped armor of his shoulder and the slickness of his vital fluids hinder a clean attack.

Grazzat's burst of flame is too much for the beast. What with weird-tasting metal creatures and assault with fire, cold and dark magic, it drops Rehil and abandons the fight. It disappears back into the river, leaving only a swirl in the water.
"Not bad," says Bokehn from where he is leaning casually on the rail. "But you might want to check if the elf is still alive."
End of combat. 200xp each.

William will cast stabilize from where he is and then go over the over to check if the comatose body is still alive.
"Well i believe i can save his body. But i am afraid i can't do much about his combat prowess".
"Fred might telling me if he is alive as my healing skill as you well know are abysmal. "

Fred move over and sniff the body in front of him, Putting his nose on the face of the elf, he lightly breath in and out. Rolling his tongue out he will then give a huge lick across his face, will sith on his haunche and will look at fred his head twisted a bit sideways in order to better look at the halfling.

The giant predator watches the battle from across the river. As the Maiden passes it by it makes a low rumble and then returns to feeding. Darien moves the boat back into the middle of the flow and then lets the elemental accelerate the Maiden away from the scene while the crew shakily get back to work.
Bokehn walks over, inspecting the damage to his security team. He gives Rehil's wounds a cursory check and then says, "If you're going to fight a plesiosaur with a bow, it's best to keep well back. It can reach a long way with that neck." He then examines Cole's torn armour. "You're tougher than you look. But you need to take your time if you want to make a swing with that hammer that makes a difference.
"Alright," he says to the whole group, "You did OK, no one got killed and the mission is still a go. And you all got a valuable lesson as to the dangers here. I think you've earned these." He reaches into a pouch and draws out a series of vials. "These will hopefully keep you on your feet should something like this happen again."
The non-warforged among you have been given potions of Cure Light Wounds while the warforged have been given oils of Cure Light Damage.
"Now, keep 'em peeled. This is only the start."
Cole.
The massive warforged slumps a bit as the great creature slides back into the water. His eyes remain alert as the shuddering sound dies down, and he sets the butt of his massive hammer on the deck for support. He watches impassively as the halfling tends to Rehil, giving the elf a nod when he comes to.
"You're tougher than you look. But you need to take your time if you want to make a swing with that hammer that makes a difference."
Cole remains still as the boss inspects his armor's damage. "I'll keep that in mind," he responds, one three-fingered hand making its way into the deeper rents in his armor to check on the extent of the internal damage.
When Bokehn addresses the security team, Cole comes to a hunched form of attention, propping himself up on his weapon as he impassively receives the half-orc's feedback, instructions, and potion… to which he nods his thanks.
As the team slips back into the new routine of watching their surroundings, the lumbering warforged makes his way across the deck, each footstep crunching heavily on the deck as he approaches the halfling.
"Thanks for the help back there, William," he says as he unslings his backpack, kneeling down to find a place to begin pulling out a small leather kit. It brings the warforged's face plate nearly down to eye level with the halfling. "I can see why Bokehn hired you on."
He quickly clears a small area on the deck, using his own frame, his backpack, and his polearm to make sure none of the hammers, cutters, rods, pins, tubes, or vials roll away on the bouncing deck. Then he begins the long process of trying to repair his shoulder… working methodically from the inside out.
I'm a little unclear on something. Some uses of Craft seem to be only usable 1/day. But I don't see any such language for repairing a warforged. Can he make the attempt as they travel? Then make the attempt again for each subsequent 8 hour stretch until fully healed or interrupted? Can he even make the attempt on the bouncing of the boat? (I"m hoping so)

" No need to thank me and i'll try to patch you up some more tonight if nothing happens until then. A note of warning though. i have to be next to you or you to me in order for me to help you out. And i can't take care of more than one person at each time while fending off for my own safety."
he replied meeting his gaze.
Cole.
Cole pauses in his work—apparently clamping off a pair of damaged cords of what look like coal-colored tree roots—to look up at the halfling, head cocked to the side.
"I expected that was the case. Would you have had me do something else in that fight?"
Rehil Ecraish

A dazed elf stares emptily back at the halfling. It's only after William turns away the Rehil musters the mental power and breath to say. "Thanks."

"Now, keep 'em peeled. This is only the start."
Rehil accepts the potion gratefully while railing internally against the man's judgement. The boat's not big enough to get out of that thing's reach. I guess I could have shoved the crewman overboard so I could reach it with my sword ....
The massive warforged slumps a bit as the great creature slides back into the water. His eyes remain alert as the shuddering sound dies down, and he sets the butt of his massive hammer on the deck for support. He watches impassively as the halfling tends to Rehil, giving the elf a nod when he comes to.
Rehil returns the nod.

Rehil shrugs while contemplating the lessons to be learned by the encounter. Anger surfaces, is squelched, and resurfaces, preventing him from taking any hard lessons to heart. Slowly his mind slides away from contemplating his failure and he looks to the soothing shade under the trees on the banks. Cole.'s motion draws Rehil's eye. The elf can't help his curiousity and drifts down the rail watch the reconstruction in short snatches when Bokehn is not looking his way.
Noting the pins, tubes and vials, Rehil tosses Cole. his hat. "Throw the round ones in there."
William Kazzar
" No you did as was expected of you. I am just giving you a heads up for future fights. I don't move fast on my feet, i can't heal from range and i can only do it one person at a time, and on you it seems that it doesn't work as strongly as it should. That give me something to consider for the future as well"
He taps lightly on the warforge's shoulder as he gets up and resume gazing on the splendid scenary opening up in front of him

See the discussion thread. Yes, you can make an attempt on the boat with no penalty, assuming you aren't doing anything else (which you aren't, most of the time).
Cole.
Cool. I think that question here spurred the discussion in the discussion thread. I'll go ahead and update his HP with the 4 from crafting, and you can tell me if he gets interrupted, unless you prefer otherwise.
Cole watches William depart before the falling hat gets his attention.
"Thank you," he says as he scoops the rolling objects into Rehil's hat. "I always tell myself to pick up a few articles of clothing, then I always seem to forget. They do have a way of coming in handy. A good hat... and maybe a long coat."
Cole.
"I'm gonna have to do better than that if I want to keep my plating intact," he says, looking up at the other warforged, as he continues to work on his shoulder. "... apparently."
Cole's eyes drop to Portforge's strange design and plating. "I've never seen someone like you. You some kind of artificer? Artillery?"
Rehil Ecraish
Rehil lingers at the rail, ostensibly watching the jungle stream by, but also listening to the conversation between the two warforged.
Wultram Denka
Wultram takes the potion with a nod, placing it on his belt. He moves to the other side of the boat leaning against the side. The man leaves to his thoughts for some time before speaking. "Now that wasn't a a failure but it wasn't exactly well executed either. Perhaps we should discuss our respective abilities and general tactics so we can remain casualty free during this journey?"
Cole.
Cole nods again in thanks to the halfling, but Portforged's last comment makes him pause in his work. "Not even when you were in training? You had no forge-brothers?"
As the human mage—Wultram is his name, Cole thinks to himself—asks his question of tactics and roles, Cole resumes his work, speaking without looking up. "I'm trained to fight," he says as he grunts to loosen a particularly stubborn pin-joint. "Up close if possible."
