"Calm down. Let's get our wits about us before we do anything rash. Now, the last..., ah... dream sequence had shoddy details. Let's backtrack a little and see if the world work a bit, you know, better."
Janosz walks up to the door the party originally entered the chapel through. "The guy who designed the mind trap didn't know shit about tracks and tracking. Gelb, Gil - could any of you, ah, shift around a bit and leave a few different tracks in the dust here? If we're still in a dream, we'll see similar sets of tracks, or, more likely, no tracks whatsoever."
Survival 11+18+3(tracking bonus)=32 to evaluate tracks.
Male Human Ranger 7/Eldeen ranger (Gatekeeper) 5/Fighter 1
"The new tracks look good. However, our old tracks are gone. It could mean that this place has some sorta hex on it that replenishes the dust and cobwebs, you know, keeping with the whole death and decay theme. Or, something similar to that Eston thing has happened, and we've been shifted somewhere else."
"Why don't we take a break and see if our new tracks disappear too? Does anyone want some tea while we wait?" Janosz digs his old warforged-head tea mug out of his backpack along with his flint and steel.

Nevharath will try to dream something into existence while others rest. A small brazier, perhaps, to see if he can affect this dream, if indeed it is a dream.

Gil will try to ignore the ringing in her head and concentrate on the details of what happened so she can try to analyze it. If Ezreal is game, she will compare notes with him.

"Hmm. I cannot determine if we are still dreaming or not. I had hoped my training would prove better than this, but perhaps I have failed. But I must hold hope, and faith in The Great Light. I shall not crumble under the despair this place engenders."

It might be prudent to use some restoration on Janosz. His Charisma has taken a beating.

Gil remains laying on the floor, staring at the ceiling, and almost lazily goes through the motions of a spell. Once it is complete, her eyes glow with an azure hue and she begins to look around the room with more interest. She sits up and looks over the entire room from her position.
Arcane sight, as you probably guessed.

Thanks - that gets me back to normal. One more of those effects, and I would have been comatose, at best.

Janosz drains his skull-cup and gets back up. "You know, I disagree. I'm tired of going into every situation here blind, and we're all in rough shape. My suggestion is this: Let's go back outside. Along the way we collects a few stiffs - the surgery lecturer seems like an especially prime specimen - along with the body of Gaia Sotharr's old buddy up by the entrance. We return the Flamic corpse to the Warden so that she can give him a proper burial; that'll buy us some goodwill with her. Rod can then interrogate the dead guys we collect along the way to get a better idea of how this place works, what the passwords are, that kind of stuff. As a priest of the Dragon Below, you can help out. Then we come back here and kick some righteous ass."
"Speaking of righteous stuff... I've been thinking a bit, and I'm wondering if actually killing Gath is something to go for. Sure, he's undead, bad, all that - but he also keeps to this crypt. Who knows what his replacement will be like? Manfred back there does not seem entirely sane, and might not be an improvement on ol' bones down the corridor. I think stealing Gath's soul receptacle and then trading it back for Ranticer's shards is the way to go. Thoughts?"

"Hmm, more information is always better," nods Nevharath in agreement with the Marcher, "How time sensitive is the mission here?"

Aid Another Runzyl 11+1=12. Aid Another Ezreal 10+0=10. So - total Survival result is 36. If this involves tracing rayher than just wayfinding, I get an additional +3 bonus, boosting the result to 39.
Janosz tracks back through the twisting tunnels and the shelves of the mouldering dead. Eventually they emerge - back in the Shrine of the Reaper. The tessellated skull of the Reaper grins down.

The adventurers head through the doorway ahead. Instead of a dusty corridor, they find a large, well-lit chamber. Musicians play on a gallery above, creating a merry sound of horn and drum, while smiling servants move about bearing trays of treats and liquid refreshment in sloshing jugs. Revellers mill about, laughing, chatting and dancing, adding to the hubbub. At the far end of the room is a dias and a heavy wooden chair. Sitting on it, an incongruous party-pooper, slumps Gath, mace on his knees.
