NONONONO. Terion is my iconic sword and board fighter - I will post his actions later on today (namely retreating into the room where everyone is) but we WILL prevail!! C'mon ppl!!

I can throw a javelin and retreat?

Flaeg just lies there, as you might expect - unless you were expecting him to get up and fight like the other corpses.

Sorry, just had to :)

Male Human Per +3

Phew...

Terion moves to the door as he draws his sword, speaking to Elgoron - "I need a spot at the door Elgoron my friend!"

Mechanics: Wait until Elgoron clears the spot in Q9, move there, while drawing the sword and defend the position.

After a simple gesture, Elgoron jabs two fingers at the approaching goblin in O-6 and a pale blue beam shoots forth.

The goblins form a line around the doorway drawing javelins as they move into position.

Four small javelins try to strike Ping.

Meanwhile, the dwarven paladin had checked in at the local temple he had visited long ago. The temple seemed quite different than it had long ago.

The surly but professional fighter he had met before was found dead on the first floor which was mostly deserted near the temple priestess. Investigating upstairs, he runs into a blind goblin. Approaching the dwarf, the goblin yells in common "Help, we are under attack."

The goblin does not recognize the lone paladin, can he be blind? The lone paladin had personally killed over ten local goblins and organized farmers to kill just as many. His name inspired hate and much more in local goblin lore. In goblin they simply referred to him as ' the defender'

Replacement dwarf on the map with mandatory background material above.. As it is the weekend, I will act for the dwarf, known in goblin as 'the defender', if necessary. The dice have been hot for bad guys, you needed a break.

Terion drops his foe, and the first goblin falls. Morale is high still in the goblin ranks, but they have not turned their heads to the right yet.

Elgoron will do his best to pull Ping out of the doorway and into O-9. Not sure if a blinded goblin will get much of an AOO, but better than risking an errant shot taking her out in one go. Then he will move to P-9 to prevent Terion from being surrounded.

Something is amiss in this peaceful shrine, Felgarr thinks as he wanders through the courtyard. A pig was butchered, or there was some sort of fight, he thinks, looking at all the blood along one wall. Then he comes across the bloody man and priestess hidden behind the altar.

By Torag! he exlaims, and rushes over to check their wounds. The man and priestess are obviously dead. His sense of unease rises and he draws out his flail and shield. Whispering a brief prayer, he goes looking for the culprits.

After wandering around downstairs for a bit, he approaches a staircase and starts to climb. He is not surprised when a goblin appears, for he knows well how bloodthirsty and vile they are. The goblin's words are puzzling, but they do not stay his hand.

Filthy murderous goblin! he says as he brains the blinded brute.

"Hudge get us out of this. The defender cares for the innocents. That is his soft spot."

As Felgarr advances into the large room, he takes in the sight of many rotten corpses and a few fresh ones. He sees a lone human warrior still standing against the goblin scum, his companions fallen behind him.

Then, the goblins rush the fighter and take up threatening positions over his fallen allies. Well versed in the tongue of his enemies he overhears their frantic plan and replies.

goblin:
"There is nowhere to run, goblins. You have already murdered a Gozran priestess and you threaten more innocents to save your skins? Hudge, do you lead this band? Get your sorry hide out here and tell me what it will take to stop further bloodshed. I swear by Beard and Belly, I shall not strike you while we speak."

Then, he calls out to the man. "Stout warrior, you have fought bravely, and I commend your strength. I wish to save your life, and those behind you. I have called to the goblin leader to parley. Hold your sword, but stand vigilant! The goblins cannot be trusted."

Felgarr lowers his flail, but does not put it away.

"You'd best hurry and leave. One day, we will meet again, and you won't have hostages. Then, you'll be sorry. You know my reputation. I will find you.Run for the hills while you can."

As the door is opened, Strang finds the next room empty.

Meanwhile, in the room Strange left.............The hobgoblins yell in common as they pick up weapons from the downed clerics.
