Map is blacked out for me too.

Argor will obviously fly to the shop as well. Maybe Gianluca and Grommesson can hitch a ride in the carriage Clarissa had?
Gianluca the Honeyed
Is a carriage faster than running? (I can boost my speed to 40', and am happy to go either way.)
Do we care about breaking cover? If I leave the invis sphere, I'll be recognizable, for what it's worth.
Also, do we want to wait for the front liners to get to the Black Mask before acting? If so, there's not much value in racing ahead without them. ;-)

I can't imagine leaving Grommesson, since he's of unknown abilities--more of a civilian.
If we're OK with a giant golden Pathfinder appearing out of nowhere, Argor should fly ahead and I'll catch a carriage with you. If we think being inconspicuous is more important than getting Argue to our destination ASAP, Argor should maintain his sphere and make his way at our snail's pace...while reflecting on why he didn't prepare Flight in order to help his party travel in unison.

OK, let's have G and me arrive by carriage.

@Jelani: If Sabby turns into a giant octopus, could she still breath on land?
I found a good summary of the rules here: by RAW, a giant octopus' inability to breathe air is because of its aquatic subtype, which is not gained as per the polymorph rules. As such, by RAW, Sabs wouldn't lose ability to breathe air. She would gain the ability to breathe underwater; polymorphing into forms with swim speed grants breathe water ability. The giant octopus also hilariously has a land speed.

I'm going to say no, since octopuses have gills but no lungs. I'd say that's an unintended loophole in the polymorph rules that lets you have your cake and eat it too. That being said, you'd get some time before dying.
A character who has no air to breathe can hold her breath for 2 rounds per point of Constitution. If a character takes a standard or full-round action, the remaining duration that the character can hold her breath is reduced by 1 round. After this period of time, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check in order to continue holding her breath. The check must be repeated each round, with the DC increasing by +1 for each previous success.
So 16ish rounds of actions before needing to worry about anything. I seriously doubt this combat is going to run 16 rounds.

@Grommesson: Just a friendly reminder that you aren't compelled to attack us unless "there are no more enemies around" or if we explicitly threaten you.
Beast mode
Jelani
Beast mode is currently flat-footed, so his AC is only 26, so you could confirm that crit. I'll post in 20 hours a confirmation roll and double damage if you don't by then.
cheers

Guys, just a heads up I'm about to go on vacation without a laptop or PC. I will have internet access via a tablet, but considering I'm going to be in Hawaii I will probably be out enjoying myself more than posting. I'll be back to normal posting schedule the 3rd. Please bear with me in the meantime, and happy Chinese New Year!

@Jelani: If gyr is unavailable, I can bot Gianluca for you. I actually have played a Warlord in the past, so I am familiar with their mechanics.
Argor Blakros
FYI, pretty much 95% positive Cladissa can still throw hexes around on this guy as long as he is visible to her. Just sayin'. Hehe
Gianluca the Honeyed
Woot. Just caught up on thread. Sssabs, I should have you roll for me all the time.
One question: I had in mind to have Gianluca request full healing before going forward. (When I last posted I was at 27/69 HP.)
Jelani, you're call if you'll allow that retroactively since I wasn't around and posting to declare it in advance.

Not really satisfied with my new forum avatar. If any of u spot a better looking one that is closer to my reference image, please let me know.

Jelani, you cool with me buying a Staff with just Magic Missile on it, then upgrading it later? I really feel like the Mage Supreme needs a staff. Lol
Cost is 6,400 gp as far as I can tell, and after the dowry and retraining, I had just enough to do it.

Where are you getting that price?
Argor Blakros
400 gp × the level of the highest-level spell × the level of the caster.
So 400 x 1 x 8 (required Minimum CL for staves) x 2 for not crafting but buying outright.
I'm kinda figuring that, based on the prohibitive cost of many of the "standard" staves that are listed in the item lists, that anyone who dabbles in staff creation likely HAS to make staves such as these in order to EVER get any sort of sale.

How about a Quarterstaff of Entwined Serpents? Argor is man of Neyths, is he not? Granted, I don't think the staff is on the SRD sadly; I couldn't find it.
