Hrimnagel Avaldamon
I've had two particular heavy weeks at work, so 3 posts per week would've been difficult for me, except maybe all on the weekend.
That written, I don't particularly enjoy monologue posts, which is where Hrim is currently at. So, if you're expectation is 3-5 monologue posts per week, it would be best if you don't introduce my new character.
However the new PC is designed to be less of an outsider, so I've made an effort to connect more with the group, in order to have more dialogue posts in the game.
So, it's your call. Whatever you choose, I've enjoyed your game.
Cheers

Then I won't keep things held up. Gonna work on the wedding day post now. Lurking while I do.

Lurking
Argor Constantine
Jelani, I know you said this is basically my show to run, but with all the NPC's in play, I am a tad bit anxious to just dive in and RP as anyone in particular.
Do you plan on RP'ing as any of the NPC's, or are there any that are off limits for me to use?
Argor Constantine
The crickets...they be chirpin'...
Argor Constantine
Still lurking, now with twice the Cladissa power!
Gianluca the Honeyed
popping in, at least for a bit.
DM Jelani
I'm not really expecting this to be a long dragged out RP event. I'm not planning on RPing anyone more than necessary. More like a large cinematic scene. I was thinking the NPCs are like fancy windowdressing. I expect there to be normal wedding stuff. Everyone comes in and sits down, some officiant goes up, the wedding party comes in, bride and groom, vows, then done. After that I guess everyone will hang around and drink and dance, then I'll RP anyone you guys want to interact with.
Argor Constantine
I get that. Which is why I asked originally if we wanted to hand-wave it rather than make it a whole RP event. At the time, everybody seemed to want it to be an event, but it seems now more like we should have just had me do a solo RP scene about it and others chime in as desired.
As is, I can still do that, but I would like to see at least Hrimnagel get his new character introduced, since it seems that it was intended for them to be introduced at the wedding. I'd also like to see at least one post from CDL and gyr, before I move things along. Once those three do, I could wrap the formalities of the wedding and reception up in one post, easily, and others could work in their own little extra scenes as desired.

Sounds good to me. That said, I'm in another busy stretch: I'm leading a two day summit for 30 people these next two days (that I've been busily prepping for this week). Then this weekend I'm packing to fly East again, at which point I'll be working and vacationing until the week of December 5.
I'm managing to keep up with combat/quick mechanical posts more than I am with RP right now.
I *hope* that by EOD today I get a post in on this one. Meantime, I'm enjoying reading it when I'm able to catch up.
Gianluca the Honeyed
...and it didn't happen. :-(
Tomorrow I hope.
Jubal, excited to get to meet your new character!
Argor Constantine
Sick as a dog. Dunno when I'm gonna feel up to posting. Especially since I'm scheduled to be working the next 6 nights to boot. Feel free to do whatever with the wedding. Don't wanna hold things up.
This post applies to RotR too.
Cladissa l'Velorryan
Get feeling better! I don't think we can have the wedding without you! You're almost as important as the bride and her bridesmaids! :)
(And Jubal, agreed! Can't wait to meet Grommesson!)
Gianluca the Honeyed
Yes, let's not finish the wedding without you!
While I'm still busy too, I'll at least get in post--or a few posts--of RP while you're working and recovering.
Gianluca the Honeyed
On Roll20 as I fly across country. Anyone free?
Gianluca the Honeyed
Congrats Jubal!!
Grommesson Blakros
I have to leave in 36 hours on a business trip where I won't have access to the Internet. I'll return about this time in a week. So, I'll RP until I go. Then, please DMPC me.
cheers
DM Jelani
Since Grommesson is going to be AFK for a while, we're going to have to DMPC him into the group. If Argor informs the Society, fine. If he doesn't, they will find out anyway and send a representative. They keep a close eye on you guys, and aren't going to let someone affected by the serum wander about without at least trying to recruit them. Also on a practical level we need to get him on the team so we can get adventuring again.

Planned to make a big post this morning, but I'm down on my back and can hardly tolerate a mostly reclined position, let alone sitting up in my computer chair. So gonna just make a smaller post via iPad.
Argor Blakros
Pain kept getting worse, caved and went to urgent care. Nothing exciting, severe muscle inflammation and spasms in my back. Got a couple shots and some pain killers/muscle relaxers/steroids to take. Good news is pain is better. But I'm drifting in and out of sleep thanks to these pills. Heh

I can cast the the following amount of each level per day:
0: Unlimited
1: 6
2: 6
3: 6
4: 4
I also have access to 10/14 reservoir points to start my day. Main things I can do with those are:
1 point: increase caster level or DC of a spell by 1
1 point per spell level: cast a summon, minute/level duration, up to SM IV.
1 point: swap out 1 prepared spell
I can consume a spell casting slot of any level and gain that many reservoir points back.
What I generally do is prepare buff spells first, then swap them out for utility/combat magics, as well as replenish some of my reservoir.
Something like the following:
PREPARED SPELLS:
Level 0: Dancing Lights, Mage Hand, Prestidigitation, Detect Magic, Message, Arcane Mark, Ray of Frost, Open/Close
Level 1 (6/6): Magic Missile, Mage armor, Grease, Heightened Awareness, Shield
Level 2 (6/6): See Invisibility, Darkvision, False Life
Level 3 (6/6): Tongues, Dispel Magic
Level 4 (4/4): Stoneskin
Reservoir: 10/14
Then:
1) Cast Mage Armor, False Life, Darkvision
2) Burn 3 points, swap in Tears to Wine, Scorching Ray, Enlarge Person
New List:
Level 0: Dancing Lights, Mage Hand, Prestidigitation, Detect Magic, Message, Arcane Mark, Ray of Frost, Open/Close
Level 1 (5/6): Magic Missile, Enlarge Person, Grease, Heightened Awareness, Shield
Level 2 (4/6): See Invisibility, Scorching Ray, Tears to Wine
Level 3 (6/6): Tongues, Dispel Magic
Level 4 (4/4): Stoneskin
Reservoir: 7/14
3) Cast Heightened Awareness, See Invisibility, Tears to Wine (bumped to CL 9), Tongues, Stoneskin
4) Burn 5 points, swap in Burning Hands, Bull's Strength, Command Undead, Haste, Phantasmal Killer
New List:
Level 0: Dancing Lights, Mage Hand, Prestidigitation, Detect Magic, Message, Arcane Mark, Ray of Frost, Open/Close
Level 1 (4/6): Magic Missile, Enlarge Person, Grease, Burning Hands, Shield
Level 2 (2/6): Bull's Strength, Scorching Ray, Command Undead
Level 3 (5/6): Haste, Dispel Magic
Level 4 (3/4): Phantasmal Killer
Reservoir: 1/14
5) Finally, as I'm now low on reservoir points, I need to consume some spell slots so I have points to summon or boost later casts. Say I use 2 level 1's, a level 3, and a level 4, that puts me at this final set up:
Level 0: Dancing Lights, Mage Hand, Prestidigitation, Detect Magic, Message, Arcane Mark, Ray of Frost, Open/Close
Level 1 (2/6): Magic Missile, Enlarge Person, Grease, Burning Hands, Shield
Level 2 (2/6): Bull's Strength, Scorching Ray, Command Undead
Level 3 (4/6): Haste, Dispel Magic
Level 4 (2/4): Phantasmal Killer
Reservoir: 10/14
So I'd have room for a couple SM IV at 8 minute durations and a couple spell buffs or an emergency spell swap later, at the expense of having to be somewhat picky about casting spells...
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Argor Blakros
Jelani: some spell coordination was discussed in chat. I think casters are good to go. Assuming time allows, Argor will buff as described above, but I'm debating swapping Phantasmal Killer for Telekinetic Maneuver.
Instead of a level 4 save or die gone in a round, the Telekinetic Maneuver gives me 9 rounds per cast (pumped up thanks to reservoir) of doing ranged Combat Maneuvers at 45' range, at +17 to my roll. No saving throw. I think that would be more reliable of a choice. Last minute thoughts from the team?
Although, turns out I don't have the costly components for Stoneskin. So unless someone is wanting to buy them and have me cast it on them pre-venture, I could save myself a fourth level spell slot and one more reservoir point (or 1st level spell slot).
Argor Blakros
Quick question before I post...how thorough were they in blindfolding everyone? Could Rutai have tagged along invisibly and seen the route? Also, I'm assuming I can't "Pull Rank" and get out of the whole embarrassing schtick of getting blindfolded?
Gianluca the Honeyed
OK, current evolutions
Base: +3 STR, DEX; +6 Natural Armor
Evolutions:
[3] Skilled: +8 racial bonus to Diplomacy, Perception, Sense Motive
[1] Reach
[4] +Large: +8 STR, +4 CON, -2 DEX +2 NA, Large size
. . this replaces +4 STR evo, so net increase to STR is +4
L8 stat increase +1 DEX, so net DEX is 17-1=16 (same bonus)
add Stance:
. . 3 Unfettered Movement (Ex)By assuming this stance, the disciple gains a +10-ft. bonus to his base speed and gains a +4 dodge bonus to his armor class against attacks of opportunity.
replace one 1st level maneuver with
4 Golden Swipe (Readied, 1/Encounter) (Ex) As a standard action, make a melee attack, inflicting an additional 6d6 points of damage and forcing his foe to make a 10-ft. movement (if the target is capable of moving) from the square he is currently occupying in a direction of his choosing. If the target is incapable of movement, then the target simply takes the damage as normal. This movement provokes attacks of opportunity to all those capable of making them against the target except for the initiator of this maneuver.
...and I upgraded my greatsword to +2.
Sorry to space doing this at the beginning of downtime!
EDIT
...and profile is mostly up to date, but stat bar isn't yet. Hoping to get the rest done tonight, fingers crossed.
