Hmm. Chelish Gifts you say. Ezekial says conspiratorially. Does he wear or carry any such gifts with him that you know of? Such changes of personality are not a normal thing and I wonder if the good Baron might have had unnatural help with is change. Those Chelish are a tricky bunch.

Thraxin gives a chuckle with the bartender's correction, "I'm sorry dear sir for my friends mistake, but being on the road as long as we have and all the buildings looks a like." He gives a laugh and pats Nathon on the shoulder then looks back to the bartender, "It appears it has taken my manners as well for I have been talking with you and never introduced myself, Thrax Kyr and what is yours?"
| Simon Sigeh |
Simon crosses over to Tarasi, sheathes one blade and shakes her shoulder.
"Wake up," he says. "The waitress is bringing something to purge the devil drink from your head. I'd rather not have to pour it down your throat for you."

"We don't see the Baron much.
We saw the envoys come in with some cargo and when they left, the cargo stayed.""The Barons personality slowly changed, it was not rapid."
Hmm. Well that cargo could have been a payment for his loyalty I suppose, but it could have also been something that swayed him in a more diabolic way. I sure wish I could help the Baron see what harm he is doing to his town and people… Anyway, would you know if there are already Chelish troops in the city? I'd hate to just run into a group of them.

Ezekial looks relieved and encourages the woman on her walk. I look forward to meeting your charge. he says.

Ezekial begins to whistle softly as he walks, enjoying the clean air and seeming to enjoy the surroundings.

@Ezekial and Darian
A tall, angular building of white marble stands atop this lonely
spot of ground. A steeple topped by a timeworn statue is the
makeshift aerie for more than a dozen pigeons, their droppings
covering the face and shoulders of an effigy that has obviously
faded out of importance for the people of Piren’s Bluff. Wood
and brass doors under the shadows of the steeple stand open,
revealing a clean but empty nave.

Ezekiall follows suit and looks about for any signs of danger. He expects none, but is all too aware that he is behind enemy lines.

@Ezekial and Darian when they enter
The temple nave is a sad, empty place. Its wooden
benches, marble pillars, and the statue that
stands atop a marble plinth opposite the doors are kept
clean.
You both see an Old Elf Priest scuttling about the nave armed with cleaning rags and a bucket of soapy water, waging a hermit’s war against the dirt and grime that constantly threaten the temple interior.

Thraxin gives her a devilish with a gold tip, "Thanks, that will do for now. But I might need some company later." He then starts to devour the chicken.
Nathon slides his eyes off the songstress just long enough to twist a drumstick off Kyr's chicken. Returning his gaze to the bard, he says with a grin, "Thanks. I know an old comrade like you won't mind."

Ezekial clears his throat. Good afternoon sir. You are Tulrin Endessell, priest of Aroden?
| Simon Sigeh |
Tarasi waits for the room to finally settle, then turns to Simon. "Thanks for standing by. Looks like I'm somewhat better now."
"Didn't want you to choke on your tongue. Or something," Simon says, his arms crossed -- and his swords mercifully sheathed. "Better watch the sauce in future. Now. We need to find our co-workers, miss. Did they happen to mention where they were going?"

As am I. And do you think part of the test is how we should react to the Baron turning the city over to the devil loving Chelaxians?
