Hi! Some pregame instructions.

Deck Verification
If you haven’t already done so, please verify your deck with the online play Venture Captain at cartmanbeck@orgplayonline.com. This can be anything that demonstrates proof of purchase for your deck: ie, a photo of the deck with a piece of paper containing your PFS number; a receipt for the deck with your name on it, etc.

Also, please let me know if your character has a chronicle sheet from a previous organized play game.

Online Deck Handler
Please set up your online deck handler. If you haven’t used one before, instructions are included here.

Add a hyperlink for the deck handler into header for the alias you'll be using in the game thread.

Party Communication
Some parties like to strategize via google hangouts; some parties just use it to alert when someone’s turn is up. Others parties prefer to communicate entirely via the discussion tab. It’s up to you!
Using a google hangout is completely optional. If that is something you would be interested in, send me a Private Message with your email address. This is entirely voluntary, and the decision is anonymous. If anyone, for any reason, would rather not use google hangout, I will not set it up.

Posting Expectations
Please try to take your turn within 24 hours (or 48 hours over the weekend). Obviously, let real-life take priority, but out of courtesy to the other players, try to let us know if something does come up.

Also, post here in the discussion thread to introduce yourself! Let us know your prior experience, any questions you already have. And let us know timezone; I myself am in Central US.

As for posting style, use one that works best for you, with as much or as little flavor as you feel comfortable with. It’s your game!
The one thing that I would request is that you label your dice rolls with at least the difficulty and type of check. For example:

Sample wrote:

Seoni casts a Force Missile at the Ancient Skeleton!

Combat 8: 1d12 + 2 + 2d4 ⇒ (9) + 2 + (1, 1) = 13
The Ancient Skeleton is banished!
Seoni attempts to recharge Force Missile.
Arcane 6: 1d12 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Force Missile is discarded

Game Setup

Once I post the game setup (still to come), I’ll need a starting location for each character.

I’ll also need the party to decide on a turn order. This can be chosen strategically, or based on timezone, or chosen randomly. Whatever you want!

Then once that’s been set, you’ll all draw your starting hands.

And then, on Monday, I’ll post the decks... and it’ll be time to have fun!

Hi! I am pretty new to PACG and a complete noob to PACG PbP. I have played some RPG's by PBF including DnD, Dresden Files, and a dabble into The One Ring that fell apart early.

I am excited to play Athnul, Monk of the Ki Fist (Monkey Fist!).

I am making my deck in my Deck Handler imminently. If anyone wants to look through my deck and let me know if I have made a mistake, I will fix it before we get going tomorrow. If you think I've chosen my deck poorly, I welcome advice on it, too.

For interest sake, I'm in Canada, about 90 minutes drive north from Toronto.

Here's an example of the url tag and the dice roller. I needed to replace the square brackets with parentheses for the examples; when composing a real post you'd use square brackets.

Also, Athnul's favored card type is Blessing (it's given on the top right corner of the "Cards List"). That means that Athnul has to have a blessing in her opening hand.

And you're correct: Athnul currently has no proficiencies and only 2 powers.

Hi GM EmpTyger. Would it be possible for you to create a random deck of monster cards? My power allows me to recharge a spell to draw a monster. That way I wouldn’t have to ask you every time I draw a monster from the box. Ten monsters should be enough. And I’ll let you know if the deck is running out.

Also, have we decided if we're using Hangouts?

If you are trying to get my attention, I typically will check my PMs and the threads here more frequently than google hangout. But I will keep my eye on the hangout too.

I've added Balazar's summoned monsters into the scenario rules section.
I've also added in a couple extra monsters to the City Gate, in case anyone needs one for that location power.

Thanks again for your patience. Since we now only have 3 players, I've dropped down to 5 locations.
Note that while the turn counter is going to be off, you will still get 30 turns.
