Segment 3
22 +8 = 30/37 Stun | 38 +8 = 46/46 End | 8/23 Body
::Aye, I’m coming.:: Mud follows the sunlight and falls out of the lightning made hole in the snake. His whole body appears corroded with gaps and holes around the edges like Swiss cheese, and he aches in pain.
When he sees Pulse he says, ”wow. You look like I feel.”. He stumbles to his feet, not super ready for the next round.
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
If Aegis got to Pulse before she was able to get out of the snake she would help pry open a hole to make it easier for her.
Perception: 13 - 3d6 ⇒ 13 - (5, 2, 2) = 4
She had noticed the lighting didn't say anything about it, instead she would continue to check Pulse's wounds to make sure she had no= life threatening injuries.
Paramedics: 8 - 3d6 ⇒ 8 - (3, 5, 6) = -6
"What was that? Do we need to call Evac for you?" Aegis questioned Pulse as she looked over her wounds. "Where are the other two?" The barrage of questions and the strained voice made her attempts to hide her panic fairly obvious.
mdt
Let's go non-combat for a little bit, you've got a few combat turns before the next snake shows up. I'll let you know how long passes for certain when the next one starts. Pulse is still getting blinded radio wise by multiple pulses of radio waves. The snake she was in is still alive, and still emitting them too, but is unconscious and wounded.
"Mud" Adam Storn
Non-combat
37/37 Stun | 46/46 End | 8/23 Body
Mud stumbles around in the mess of giant, unconscious snake meets tropical forest, while the attention is on Pulse.
Hotaru Hoshiko
::I'm good. Heavily wounded, but good. I don't know where they are, at the moment, but they're still blinding my radar. I'm gonna get my breath if I can.:: she thinks back, panting. ::We really need to kill this thing before it wakes back up. It's still sending signals. So we probably can't get anything out, anyway.::
Pulse will recover on 4/6/8 if not interrupted by something. Then she'll start murdering Snek if no one makes an appeal against that. :P
Hotaru Hoshiko
There appear to be no objections :p, on Round 2, Phase 10
Attack: 19 - 3d6 - 3 ⇒ 19 - (4, 5, 2) - 3 = 5
Killing Damage: 3d6 - 1 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) - 1 = 8
Multiplier: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 8 body, 24 stun, Armor Piercing, Penetrating
Pulse pants for a few moments, catching her breath, the barrier around her becomes transparent making it much easier to see in the cracks and crevices of her armor, that she's sustained heavy damage, but she's healing over time. After she rests for a moment, another quarter flies upwards from her thigh, spinning in place, before launching at incredible speed into the Snake's body.
If it's still sending signals, and no one does anything else, she'll fire again onr Round 2 Phase 12.
Attack: 19 - 3d6 - 3 ⇒ 19 - (2, 4, 2) - 3 = 8
Killing Damage: 3d6 - 1 ⇒ (5, 6, 3) - 1 = 13
Multiplier: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2 13 body, 26 stun, Armor Piercing, Penetrating
mdt
Pulse doesn't appear to be doing much damage to it, even with her amped up attack. The combination of the scales, and it's natural compressive nature leaves the snake shrugging off the worst of it. Pulse can knickle and dime it to death eventually with her attack, but it'll take 40 to 60 attacks, she's only getting about 1 point through at most.
Hotaru Hoshiko
Turn 3, Phase 3, looking for some coordination :P
"Looks like I'm going to need help with this." she says, faceplate looking to the others. ::On Three?::
Without further ado, ::Two... Three.
Teamwork: 14 - 3d6 - 3 ⇒ 14 - (4, 2, 5) - 3 = 0
Attack: 19 - 3d6 - 3 ⇒ 19 - (3, 6, 5) - 3 = 2
Killing Damage: 3d6 - 1 ⇒ (6, 6, 3) - 1 = 14
Multiplier: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 14 body, 70 Stun, Armor Piercing and Armor Penetrating.
Hotaru Hoshiko
Yup, my endurance is up to date on the sheet including post 12 recovery for the previous turn. :)
Project Violet
Being unable to do much of anything to this snake, or (presumably) the two incoming, Violet keeps a lookout... well... anything... as best she can.
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
Aegis would try to stop Pulse from attacking right away. "Maybe take a second to recover, you were just eaten.Mud and I can finish it off now that it can't run but we need to prep for the next round." Assuming Pulse listens Aegis would start trying to climb on the snakes head, standing around where a brain would be and turns off her flight.
Hotaru Hoshiko
When no one agrees to attack with her, Pulse nods and lets the quarter fly back into place, before crossing her arms and leaning against a tree.
mdt
I'm assuming last week was very slow due to the 4th of July, if everyone can please pick up the pace? Or should I jump you with more snakes? I'm giving everyone a breather to plan for the next attack, but if you'd rather I just throw double the snake at you...
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
Was aegis able to kill the snake by going full solid on its head? I asked in discussion since we need to make sure this one is dealt with before we move on to the next.
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
After a slightly anti-climatic attempt, including a few experimental hops, and the snake not seeming to have any give against her weight she would let her metal spread from her feet again preventing her from causing an earthquake with every step. Turning flight back on
::It will take too long for us to put it down for good but it won't be a problem anytime soon. Pulse are you able to fight?::
Aegis would stay on the head of the snake for now, hoping to make herself an easy target for the next one.
"They'll try another hit-and-run so we need to find a way to stop them from either swallowing us or getting away. Violet can you and Blaze carry Pulse out of range? If you three can blast it from the air it can't do much to Mud and I, also if you can keep sweeping the area for anything human it could safe us - I doubt these are natural.::
Project Violet
::I can carry her with my brain,:: Violet replies. ::But I'm a no-go on affecting the reptiles. I can't TK them hard enough to do anything.::
::HoHo, you good for a lift-and-carry?::
Hotaru Hoshiko
::You could definitely add some damage, even if minor. Don't underestimate yourself; every little bit helps. Putting me on overwatch seems wise, my shots are pinpoint accurate at nearly any range. So keeping me out of their mouth seems wise. They... might be weaker on the inside, though. Mud, how are you at burying things that are on the move? Ping didn't give me any feedback on 'giant snake summoning metas' Maybe if I cross-reference for 'power of three' and 'freaky radio powers'...:: Pulse responds, nodding to Violet.
Project Violet
No, seriously, her TK is 10STR, she can't do diddly against them.
Violet swoops in, hooks her arms under Pulse's, and lifts the two of them into the sky. But not too far, just in case there are snipers.
Hotaru Hoshiko
I'm not suggesting you run in and punch things. But if a snek bites you, coordinating a punch is still 2d6 damage that we don't normally have, if you hit with us. Comparatively, that's 10 end for just about anyone else to add that much damage to an attack. :)
"Mud" Adam Storn
Mud starts and creates a larger than giant snake like hole in the juggle floor. ::Like this, if Aegis and I drag it into this hole, maybe it will suffocate while its unconscious.::
Mud works with Aegis to drag the unconscious giant snake into the hole and bury it alive.
Hotaru Hoshiko
Pulse lifts off with Violet. ::I'll try to blind one first thing, then start the railgunning. We'll play by ear, I'll try to use teamwork when we can. I may be better off just keeping them blind if we don't move too far away.::
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
If Mud and Aegis are able to bury the snake in time Aegis would look for the largest tree she would be able to lift, if successful she would start trying to pry it up. Best case she would give a new definition to the word beatstick, worst case she was making a lot of noise to make her an easy target.
Hoist: 14 - 3d6 ⇒ 14 - (1, 4, 6) = 3
::I have an idea, not a good one but it's something. It can't bite if it's mouths full.::
Project Violet
Yep. Waitin' like a waitin' thang.

Phase 12
The trees do the shimmy and shake again in the distance, and then rapidly the shimmying and shaking approach. Then unlike the previous time, the two snakes come into view, and open their mouths and hiss!
Attack 1: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 6) = 11
Attack 2: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) = 11
Because Blaze is carrying Pulse, the duo use Blaze's DCV, with a -2 penalty from him holding/carrying Pulse, and both are one target

Both snakes eject a stream of acid that intersects with Pulse and Blaze, hissing as it eats through their uniforms and into their skin!
Everyone Up
Hotaru Hoshiko
Pulse is with Violet; I think Blaze's automagic wind body would constantly shred pulse as well. :(
::Really. I'm gonna try to blind the snake closer to Mud for now.::

mdt
Oh, then it's Pulse & Violet who get hit with acid, please update the map
Pulse knows of 2-3 metas that have snake like abilities, and two others who can charm normal snakes, but none who make giant snakes. These snakes do feel a lot like the Demon Cats though, in that they are huge, and evince unnatural abilities...
Project Violet
"Oh, come on!" Violet snaps as the venom etches through her jumpsuit.
"How far do you think they can spit that stuff?" she asks Pulse aloud, not bothering with the mindlink. "Maybe if we get some altitude?"

Full phase activation.
Barry "Blaze" Wind
::You two back off, I'll try and draw their fire,:: Blaze sent.
He proceeded forward about 10 meters toward the big snake on the left, formed up another ball of air, and shot it toward the the large reptile, wondering if he'd have been more effective on these things if he were still on fire.
