Continuing on, with the now very windy but not so blazey Blaze, the group continues forward. For the next two hours, Pulse continues to hear the random blip bleep noise on her radio frequencies, and just when she's getting used to the headache, things go really badly for her. As if something slammed her in the side of the head, suddenly all her radio abilities go haywire!

Pulse:

The feeling is as if Pulse got hit with a taser in the side of the head. Her radar goes on the fritz, and her radio perception goes nuts, as if it was being swamped by random static. Pulse is blinded on the radio spectrum, the blinding keeps resetting itself every 3 segments with another massive pulse that lasts 3 segments, leaving her radio blind and dazzled.

::Holy f&~@, it just went from edges of a projector to green lasers on a cockpit.:: Pulse says as she buckles, stumbling and catching herself, never leaving her feet. "Comms are down." she says, out loud, a moment later. A clear lie to the team, but if anyone were close enough to hear it, it's what they'd be expecting.

How does this differ in effect from her Electromagnetic Jamming ability that screws with Electromagnetic Waves (lower perception), since she's interacted with that before? Does she think it would help to use her radio wave perception drain, or is it best to just 'turn off' her pings? Does it affect her radar at all?

Her entire radar sense is flashed. Same as if she had been flashed visually and her infrared and uv taken out along with normal sight. She could try to suppress the waves coming in, but it would likely only keep her where she gets a phase where her perception isn't flashed, but it would be impossible to keep any commuications going more than a second every 3 seconds, and the long term endurance loss would kill her.

Pulse:

Pulse gains a temporary lessening in the intensity of the pulses hitting her as her disruption hits, but all it really buys her is a second of respite before the next pulse of radio waves blast into her again. She does pick up a pulse of directed radio waves that seem to narrow in on her, the radio waves picking up intensity as they narrow directly onto her, as if a cone was smushed down into a line, in between being blasted with radio distortions. She can just pick out a few satellite pings each three seconds, before they vanish again. She can also pick up multiple radio sources, from different directions, all seemingly pointing at her and getting closer. Although only one so far is slamming her senses.

Pulse is not sure if her pulse will reach the satellites given the amount of random radio noise around here. Or rather, she's fairly sure her signal will reach, but is also fairly sure that random noise will also reach it, meaning her signal is likely to be missed in all the random noise. She knows enough about signal processing to guess that the reason nobody has picked up on this is that the satellites are confused by the random noise, and are just ignoring anything they don't understand.

Note, while in the jungle, you are at half movement, due to underbrush. This does not apply to Aegis, as her casual strength is enough to overcome the brush. If Mud is desolid, he ignores it as well. If you are flying higher than 5 inches (10 meters), then you ignore it as well as you are over the tree tops.

::Why did it have to be snakes:: is the last thought that escapes from Pulse before she's promptly turned into a chew toy. Better a chew toy than a snack, though. The snake's teeth rend through her armor, its teeth sinking in as it displaces Bucky Balls - no harm done to their structure, but rather the structure of her suit. It becomes readily apparent to the creature that she is not a robot, as blood pools into its mouth. Whether it chose her because of her radio waves or her heat, she was uncertain, but the threat at hand was not an understatement.

With both of her arms pinned by the creature, preventing her from fighting back, she struggles to get free to do anything.

::Watch out for more. There are more radio waves all around us.:: she shares, thankful that she could 'talk' without having to breathe. She manages to squeeze out a "Motherf#~#ing Midgar Zolom. during the struggle.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" was his rather undignified response (what do you want? He wasn't expecting a HUGE F-ING SNAKE now, was he?}.

Barry didn't even think. He just put his hands out like he usually did when he wanted to shoot fire at something. This time however, instead of shooting fire, he'd shoot…something (what does an air person shoot, anyway?)

What does he shoot anyway? I'm thinking either some sort of pressure wave blast or lightning (based on my experience in D&D)

Snakes don't have limbs, you can punch it's body

Barry's hands point at the creature, and a baseball sized ball of compressed and tightly twisted air forms and rockets from his outstretched hand, slamming into the side of the snake, actually knocking part of it's coils to one side as the massive amount of energy expends from the ball!

Aegis, confused by what's attacking, tries to punch the snake, but misses it, punching out at normal height instead of lower toward the ground.

Just to let you all know, I was travelling heavily 10/27 to 10/29, I'll be catching up on 10/30
Human GM

She can't really get at a quarter, but she can expend an equivalent number of bucky balls to do it. After using them like that for about 20 shots though her armor will go away and be replaced by the force field.
Of course, next time, she can just incorporate the quarters into her armor, and then she won't have to worry about pulling them out...

Pulse flings some of her buckballs off down the length of the snakes insides, making it shudder and squeeze her tighter, but the creature seems to be used to 'difficult food'.

Phase 6

The snake comes tearing back through the group! This time heading straight for Mud!

Flying Grab, Mud: 18 - 3d6 - 2 ⇒ 18 - (2, 3, 3) - 2 = 8

The snake's mouth clamps down on Mud, and the fangs sink in!

Damage, Bite: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12 4 body minimum
Stun: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 12 stun (4 minimum)

Poison, Mud: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10 Mud loses 10 points from his dex, equating to -3 dex

Poison, Pulse: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6 19 pts dex loss Hotaru, -6 dex total

Acid, Pulse: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 1, 5, 1) = 12 12 body
Acid, Stun Mult: 1d6 - 3 ⇒ (2) - 3 = -1 12 stun

Everyone else on 3 is up! Vi can make her mind scan to find Pulse again, obviously, so she doesn't lose her this time.
