Project Violet
Either way is cool. Forcefield up! Yellow Alert!
Whippoorwill
Rocket's in a spot right now, Whippoorwill thinks as she launches herself into the air. She flies up and out away from the group, then with a spinning pirouette she flings a quill across the silo.
Fly up 3" and forward 3"
3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1) = 9 Targeting the square right in front of Rocket with a smoke-cloud feather.
mdt
A cloud of smoke fills the area, covering Rocket, Shadowcat, and the arrow holding Kestrel. Ace, being up 5", is below the smoke.
A second later, Kestrel steps out of the smoke, using the handrail on the platform to guide her out of the smoke.
With a grin, she pulls an arrow and fires at Violet!
Attack: 20 - 3d6 ⇒ 20 - (6, 3, 5) = 6 Hit
Violet aborts to put up her forcefield, as the arrow slams into the forcefield directly over her forehead!
Arrow: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 6 Body, 30 Stun
Violet's head snaps back as the arrow slams into her forehead, making her head rock violently and making her see stars.
Violet takes 10 stun through her force field as the heavy tipped arrow slams into her. This is a killing attack, and it does body with it's dice, and uses the location hit stun multiplier
mdt
Transducer's form suddenly completely turns into energy, and fires across the room! Pulse winces at the sudden crackling on the radio waves, from microwave to infrared.
The woman lands, looking off balance, and then a pulse of energy slams out from her slamming into everyone within 6" of her (everyone but Rocket).
Those who wish to put up their defenses, like say Pulse, may Abort to do so. Alternately, they can attempt to jump out of the area of effect, but that's a slim chance
Microwave Storm: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 3) + 1 = 8 8 Body
Stun Multiplier: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3 24 Stun
This attack is Armor Piercing, unless your defenses are Hardened, they count for half. This is an energy attack, and goes against Resistant ED only
Hotaru Hoshiko
Turn 0: Segment 12. Hotaru aborts to generating her forcefield as Transducer goes full nova. Her Resistant ED after being halved and rounded in her favor is 8. She also takes 16 stun. She is currently at 95/100 Endurance and 34/50 stun. Ouch.
Hotaru instinctively raises her barrier as the woman pwiffs into existence nearby, and it's a good thing, too. The energy the woman pulses out hits her like a brick, the electromagnetic field shifting to bright white as it tries to handle the energy from the attack, before dispersing portions of it. As Transducer continues to give off electromagnetic waves, Hotaru's shield pulses and sparks in time.
As expected, Hotaru does not explode, nor implode from the attack, but the energy does wrack her body, as the energy of the attack plays merry havoc with her nervous system... and everything that happens to be attached to it. She grits her teeth against the onslaught... and is surprised to have weathered the storm as well as she did.
mdt
Seeing Violet go down on one knee in pain, Ace chooses to use his held action. He looks at Whippoorwill, and then grins, and changes his focus to Aegis.
Attack: 19 - 3d6 ⇒ 19 - (1, 3, 3) = 12
Damage: 10d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 6, 6, 6, 6, 5, 1, 5) = 45
As the energy washes over Aegis, she sees Pulse as Transducer!
Aegis thinks Transducer is Pulse, and that Pulse is Transducer
Aegis can make a Ego Check at a -4 to attempt to break the illusion, otherwise, Pulse looks and acts like Transducer. Aegis will see any attack by Transducer as Pulse doing something Pulse would do, and vice versa.
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
I think I'm doing this right but a double check would be nice
Ego Check: 3d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1, 6) + 4 = 12 Ego 12-
Dark Goo
Goo watches the melee unfold and the tide turning against them, So the lesson begins, he thinks. With determination he moves forward stretches his arms and smashes his fists into the ground and looks and yells at Kestrel, "Drop your bow and I'll be gentle witH YOU."
Presence Attack: 5d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 2, 5) + (4) = 24
I am not sure if I need to add or subtract more dice added one dice for violent action
mdt
For Goo's Presence Attack : Base 5D6 + 1d6 - 1d6 (violent action + in combat).
Goo leaps forward and yells at the enemies. Three are without a bow, and receive a +5 bonus against the attack.
The person with the bow hesitates, but seems to be unaffected otherwise.
Got her ego, but not Ego + 10
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
Aegis barely manages to shake off Ace's attempt to confuse her but once she's back to normal she doesn't waste any time launching an attack on Transducer.
Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4) = 13
Damage: 12d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 2, 3, 3, 3, 1, 5, 4, 5, 3) = 47
Aegis took 16 Stun from Transducer
End: 50/50
Stun: 34/50
mdt

KB Reduce: 14 - 2d6 ⇒ 14 - (5, 3) = 6
KB Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6) = 17 Skidded along ground instead of hitting anything
Aegis steps over, and drives her fist into Transducer's back, sending the woman skipping over the ground, leaving her in a pile 12 meters away.
POST 12 RECOVERIES!
TURN 1 : SEGMENT 2
Project Violet
If I've done my math right, and I believe I have, I've taken 24/31 STUN, leaving me with 7. Post Segment 12 puts me at 7 + 10 = 17 STUN. My Forcefield took 4 END of 49, which recovers back to 49 end of Segment 12.
Current Numbers:
Violet: 13/13 BODY, 17/31 STUN, 49/49 END (Reserve 60/60)
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
The 16 stun from Transducer was the only damage Aegis took and with a 10 recovery so
Body: 20/20
Stun: 44/50
END: 50/50
Hotaru Hoshiko
Hotaru zooms back up to full endurance and 49/50 stun. It's the rabbit ears, I tell you.
Whippoorwill
I was down 16 stun, recover 10, so I'm at 44/50. No body loss. I think flying only costs 2 End, so that's recovered as well.
The Rocket
Rocket yelps "Whoa!" when--while stabilizing himself after Cat's block and whizzing toward Kestrel--the lights suddenly go out.
He manages to stabilize without stumbling but when he emerges from the smoke he's not able swerve in time to ram the archer. Instead he runs past, slowing himself, and returns to try out a different trick: as he stops in front of her his arms go into a blur of rapidfire punches.

TURN 1 : PHASE 3
Ace, seeing that Violet is still down, flies up and forward again.
Then concentrates on Rocket.
Hit: 19 - 3d6 ⇒ 19 - (2, 1, 2) = 14 Critical Success! MAX EFFECT 60
Rocket see's Kestrel suddenly slump to the ground, unconscious. He also sees that Violet is down on the ground, and Transducer is on one knee, ready to fire at the downed Violet!
Rocket now believes that Transducer is Violet, and Violet is Transducer, he also sees Ace as Whippoorwill, and Whippoorwill as Ace. And Kestrel is unconscious from his hit. Rocket gets an ego check at -7 to overcome the mental illusion. A -6 check after his next phase, and -5 at the end of turn, then a -4 after one minute, -3 after one hour, etc
Hotaru Hoshiko
Ace is 7 inches above the ground floor. I believe you said you flew up three. That means 4 inches. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Edit: My bad. I thought -Whip- had flown up and forward 3. I missed Ace doing so.
Whippoorwill
Well, I guess that means I can't close with him this round and actually try to hit him. I hate using my feathers this much.
Whippoorwill had opened her mouth to direct Rocket toward Kestrel when it became apparent he had the same idea. Unfortunately, she proved rather deft at avoiding his attacks.
This is going south, fast, she can't help but think as Ace floats higher. She keeps her wings beating forcefully, ascending several meters while closing the distance between them.
Maybe this'll wipe that grin off your face, she thinks hard at him, sending a quill his way that he'd referenced, but she'd never tried using.
Moving another 5" up and 2" across, then throwing an acid quill at him.
Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1) = 4

Edit: Is that a crit? I hope that's a crit!
mdt
It's a crit, but, you rolled max damage anyway. :) And for killing attacks that hit, you don't roll stun multiplier, you take the stun based on the location it hit. So, 7 Body and 7x3 21 stun
KB Red: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 No knockback
The acid quill shatters an inch from his body, but some of the fluid manages to splash through the defenses, burning through his clothes, and leaving the smell of burning flesh in the air. Ace gasps in pain.
Shimmer tenses, but Ace manages to shake his head through gritted teeth, and turns his attention to Whippoorwill.
Everyone in the silo glances up at Ace at the same time, and several nod.

Maintain Shield, 91/100 Endurance
Hotaru moves to interpose herself between Violet and the archer... so she hopefully can't do that arrow thing again... especially with Vi's shields down. She thinks, briefly, of grabbing Violet, but remembers her being very adamant about Hotaru not doing that. So, instead, she takes a chance. She spins on her heel and flings a ball of coalescing electromagnetic energy at Transducer... hoping to put her down or out of the fight before she can continue breaking the team.
As the energy arcs between them, it thrums in time with Hotaru's barrier, though it only happens in such a way that a Rocket could truly appreciate. Sadly, that makes it look as though (to Rocket, at least) Hotaru just threw one of her starbursts at Violet... and is actively shielding Transducer. Whose side is she on, anyway!?
mdt
TURN 1 : PHASE 4 - ROCKET UP
Rocket, you just saw Pulse attack Violet! Obviously she's been mind controlled by Ace! You have to stop her before she kills Violet! :) or something like that would be what he believes. Unless you make your Ego check.
Hotaru Hoshiko
"Sorry!" Hotaru calls to her.
Sorry, I didn't know activation was a thing. I'll go read up.
The Rocket
Ego roll -7: 12 - 7 - 3d6 ⇒ 12 - 7 - (5, 2, 6) = -8 There's nothing suspicious about what I see. Nope. Nuttin'. Nada. Totally believable.
Something feels briefly wrong...and then a second later Rocket can't imagine what it could have been: he's just knocked Kestrel out with one punch--but Oh! Transducer is about to blast Violet while she's down! I've got to--
His thoughts are interrupted by the horrible sight of Pulse attacking Violet too! "Holy crap! What are you doing Pulse? Violet's on our side! Whip, Vi, Goo, Ace must've mind controlled Pulse--we've gotta take him down fast! I can't reach him but I'll handle Transducer."
...and with that he charges at Violet Transducer. He achieves terrifying speed, but the slippery 'Transducer' seems to somehow dodge aside from his charge.

Doh! Bummer. Anyone who's seen me run into things top speed in practice would know that--even with her force field up--Violet will be unconscious if I hit her.
.
mdt, in addition to Violet aborting to dodge or FF, Pulse could abort to a block too, yes?
Hotaru Hoshiko
I don't think a block from Hotaru is feasible. Your OCV is very high comparatively. I'm pretty sure the odds are very much against me having any impact. :(
Hotaru Hoshiko
Ah. I thought I needed to get a 7 or less, since he's normally sporting a 10. I also thought I got penalties for that. Is it possibly for Hotaru to impede him by moving into it instead of simply shoving her hand in the way or whatever? Taru taking the hit with her face (and hoping for low rolls; There's far, far less than a 1% chance of Rocket knocking her out, but a good chance of her being stunned by his maneuver. Likewise... if he's stopped from doing what he wants is he gonna slam into a wall or something if I block? Also, from the looks of it, Vi can actually just say 'I dodge' and nothing happens, is that incorrect?
Edit: Actually, taking it in the face probably means she pingpong balls Vi and suffers knockback, too, which -would- probably KO her. Nevermind...
mdt
Yes, Hotaru can Dive For Cover to get between Rocket and Violet. She would make a dex check at a -1 per Inch she has to move to get there (max 1/2 her movement). She automatically takes the damage. If you block, he has to adjust his movement on the next round, changing direction. If he turns into the wall, he slams into it, if he turns the other direction, he has to navigate to avoid running into something else (another person, etc).
Hotaru Hoshiko
Abort Phase 6 action.
Dive for Cover TN 12: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1) = 13 :(:(:(
As Rocket shoots down, Hotaru has a moment of elation as she realizes they're about to take down Transducer, probably!
But then he keeps going. In a blur of movement he hurtles towards the apparently defenseless, and barely recovering Violet. Realizing what's about to happen, Hotaru dives in the way... or would, if he weren't so much faster than her. As he shoots past, she travels just behind him, landing on the ground with a growl.
DCV halved to 3 until not prone.
Project Violet
Actually I think I'm at Full DCV, as I've recovered from being Con-Stunned earlier in the turn.
He regains his full DCV (and Placed Shot modifiers return to normal), but he still cannot act until his next Phase — recovering from being Stunned is all he can do that Phase. However, after recovering from being Stunned, a character may, if he wishes, Abort to a defensive Action (even in the same Segment in which he recovers from being Stunned).
And:
Violet groans, and recovers from being con-stunned.
So if I'm still at 1/2 DCV, I'm not sure how. BUT! If I am, it's abort to Dodge, which puts me at DCV 6, which means Rocket misses. Aborting to Forcefield hasn't helped much, and even with the extra PD, at that velocity I'm likely to stun out again.
mdt
Ah, never mind then, forgot you recoverred (and I'm still having trouble getting that into my head, 3rd you were still at half until you had an action).
Retcon : Pulse attempts to block and fails.
RetConRetCon : Pulse realizes Violet is up and not likely to be hit, and doesn't abort action. :)

Rocket was supposed to take out Ace, What is he doing? Goo asks himself. He moves forward and stretches upward thrusting his fist at Ace.
