Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
Aegis looked at her a little confused. "So you're just going to get really comfortable here and hope for a cosplay fair nearby? I'll be going by Aegis here by the way." She returned the greeting.
If Hotaru was asking Aegis about her power
"In short I can turn metal, not amazing but surprisingly helpful sometimes."
Hotaru Hoshiko
"Ah, neat. Can you... still move after?" she asks. "I break tech... and can read radio and cell signals. Also, I'm about as durable as a steel security door." she looks at a frying pan lying on the floor with a bite taken out of it. "Which was significantly more impressive five minutes ago."
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
"Yea pretty much my whole body adjusts so it's doesn't feel much different than normal just heavier, Steel huh? Maybe we can have a steel versus gold match sometime."
Whippoorwill
"Arch/Angel uses a really nifty trench-coat. He straps the wings in so they don't accidentally come out. If you've ever seen the movie Michael, that works, too." Hotaru says quickly, trying to relieve her a bit.
"Oh, so there's another meta with wings? When do I get to meet him?" she looks expectantly at Ace.
Unfortunately, simple observation shows that the bulk of Whippoorwill's wings would not fit underneath a trenchcoat. Even folded up, the wings reach half a foot over the top of her head and the pinfeathers extend almost to the floor. It would look like a coat thrown over a large hiking backpack, at best.
Hotaru Hoshiko
"No... I'm pretty sure you could take me. That, or the silo would have a really bad day. I'm less stable than said steel security door, and it's exhausting to keep that up. Besides... I don't really have a way to fight." she says with a shrug. "I think I'm just here for communication or something."
"Oh... ano... no. Archangel is from comics. I think his wings are actually smaller than yours, now that you mention it." she says, head tilting slightly. "Though we could probably figure something out."
mdt
Shadowcat shakes her head. "The girl is talking about comic books again. Just assume anything she says for the next two weeks is a comic book reference." She say, giving the girl a quelling look. "Not that there aren't a couple of other people we know of with wings. Grayhawk, not sure if that's actually his name, just what we call him. Not sure which agency he works for, or if he's freelance, but he seems to be a government agent, or a freelancer that works for the government. He can hide his wings."
Ace nods. "I've heard rumors of others, but that's the one I've actually seen, briefly."
Whippoorwill
Whippoorwill stares blankly for a moment. Comic books.
She looks at each of the new arrivals and notes their youth. They think they're in a comic book. It's their only frame of reference. I doubt anyone has had any military experience, or even rudimentary combat training. I don't belong here. A swell of wounded pride rises tasting like bile as she imagines what this "training" may entail.
She squeezes her eyes shut and masks the action by passing the water bottle over her forehead. If I want to keep flying, I've got to hold it together. Endure. Adapt. Overcome.
She smiles weakly at Pulse. "Yeah, maybe we will. Nice meeting you all. I'm going to go back to my room. Have fun figuring out who's got the best power."
Project Violet
Violet nibbles on her sandwich, and raises her hand.
"Two things," she says. "One, Rocket, is it? This is a very good sandwich, thank you. Two, so exactly how many others like us are there? What exactly are we looking at, here?"
Project Violet
She looks at each of the new arrivals and notes their youth.
Hey, at least one of us is nearly your age. :P
Hotaru Hoshiko
Hotaru's mouth twists into a frown as Shadowcat continues to remind her of effectively every teacher she's ever had. Writing her off before they even knew the person they were looking at. Then again, what had she really been expecting?
She sighs, and shakes her head, completely missing Whip's opinions on the subject, as she shields them from view. She looks down to the sandwich in her hand, and discovers that she still isn't hungry, she holds it out towards Violet.
mdt
Compared to Ace & Shadowcat, everyone here is a rank newbie except Whippoorwill, and she's only got norm experience, not Meta.
Ace waves his hand. "Maybe one tenth of one percent of the population... 7.3 Billion people. That's the latest estimates I've heard, but they're very fuzzy. So, 7 million people, world wide. Give or take a couple of million." He holds up a hand. "Although a lot of them are like Aegis and Pulse here, either minor abilities, or powerful abilities that are hard to notice. We have one person who can judge rough power levels, if they know someone to concentrate on." He nods. "Yes, you were all 'checked out', we wouldn't put people who couldn't handle the level of danger into these positions. Pulse is likely the weakest of you, but I'd be surprised if, after a bit of training, she couldn't take out a swat team on her own. Violet could now, so could Snailboy. Aegis likely could take out a regiment, based on what our specialist told us. Goo, and I hate that name, but it's your choice, Goo could likely take out a whole military base if he put his mind to it, given his ability to sneak around."
Project Violet
Violet wonders for a moment if she should drop hints about her work with the men in black suits... the men who came from agencies with more acronyms than she'd ever thought possible, but thinks better of it.
"So... Rather a lot, then. Well, okay. And all that conjectural talk about taking down law enforcement aside..."
She looks around at the group. "Are we really calling him Snailboy?"
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
Ha! I'm the powerful one. She smirks at the thought. But I'm beat by goo? "Speaking of power do you think this place could hold if I used mine? I've yet to meet a floor that could survive it but this place is built for metas right?" Snailboy? "Depends is he defeated by salt?"
Hotaru Hoshiko
"Only if we want to tease him." Hotaru says, quietly. Having it blatantly pointed out that she was the weakest link just shifted her mood even more away from her former chipper attitude. "And he probably needs above average salt intake due to electrolytes. He'll run through a lot of food and water unless his power has nothing to do with his body. More water, means more salt." she says, slipping into a seat.
mdt
Shadowcat nods at Aegis. "Silo 3 can handle you, more than likely. We reinforced it with layered lead and iron plates, one inch thick each, and two feet thick. Fortunately, we have a guy who can reduce things back to their component atoms. He's working in a junk yard, turns cars into plates for us. As plates get bent and broken, we send them back, and get replacements. Do not try that in silo 1 or 2, they aren't reinforced."
She looks over at Zach. "As to Snailboy, if he takes the training seriously, I'll call him Rocket, or whatever else he wants to be called. If he tries to see how many of my buttons he can press, I'll let Shimmer pick his code name for him."
She looks around. "Note, we were talking about combat effectiveness, not overall ability. If you want to know who's most likely to be useful on a day to day basis..." She nods at Hotaru and then Zach. "Someone who can monitor police frequencies and talk to cell phone towers without being traced? Priceless. Someone who can disassemble or reassemble a car in 10 minutes? Hard to beat." She nods at Violet. "Violet is probably the person most likely to be useful in any given situation, thanks to her ability to read the minds of normal humans. Ace sure comes in handy on a day to day basis. So, translation, don't get too uppity. I'm great in a fight, and I can take damage that would make even most Metas dead meat. But I'm not a people person, and my version of delicate is twisting light poles into pretty butterfly wings when I wrap them around someone."
The Rocket
Crossing his arms defiantly, Zach says, "I'll take it seriously. If you knew anything about me, you'd know how hard I worked in baseball practice, to learn to pitch and run like the best. I'd have made it to the majors I bet if it wasn't for-- for my body changing like this, my...mutation.
"But if I'm a 'meta' like you call it, then that's what I'll train for. You'll see what kind of mettle The Rocket has!"
Glancing at Aegis, he adds, "'Mettle' that is, like grit, not 'metal'...though that seems like a pretty cool superpower too. Can we see it?"
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
"I'll take it seriously. If you knew anything about me, you'd know how hard I worked in baseball practice, to learn to pitch and run like the best. I'd have made it to the majors I bet if it wasn't for-- for my body changing
Aegis face looked slightly worried.
like this, my...mutation.
Oh thank god.
After being asked to see her power.
Aegis shrugged."I'll show you mine if you show me yours but you heard the boss mine only works on silo 3.
Dark Goo
Goo watches all the posturing and witty banter with a smile and thinks, Kids. As he enjoys the feeling or having people around again.
Finally he says, “We are stronger togetHER.” Trying to make a point he continues, “we need to be a teaM.”
Busy day today slow pst rate until 7pm EST enjoy
Whippoorwill
Whippoorwill paused just as she stepped out of view and listened to the conversation about metas before heading on to her room. Sorry, for eavesdropping, but that's too much good information not to know. And it keeps mdt from having to explain it twice.
Once in her room, her emotions surge as the past few (hours? days?) catch up to her. The compartmentalization of her mind barely held. The wracking guilt lurked like a tumultuous sea on which she bobbed like a little lifeboat. Every so often a swell would rise and she would fight to stay afloat, lest she capsize and descend into total despair.
That tiny dream of a normal, mundane existence was now gone. Six weeks. It wasn't enough. Her wings -- wings! -- were amazing, but she was now thrust into such an unfamiliar world. One in which, simply put, wasn't fair. She could train and train and train, but there would always be metas of the likes of Ace and Sanction who could take her down without breaking a sweat. A random stranger could have more power than anything the Cadre could put together. How can I prepare for that?
She broods for a long while.
Hotaru Hoshiko
"Yeah... we'll be better as a team." Hotaru suggests. "As long as we can work together. That way, we can cover for each other's weaknesses." she says with a shrug. 'Everyday Useful' made it sound like a gopher sort of job. She hadn't expected to fight supervillains, so... what had she expected? She'd pretty much already relegated herself to 'cheerleader with comms'. So... what now?
She say at the table playing connect-the-dots as she half-listened. It was a lot harder to not pay attention when there weren't radio signals to pay attention to, instead. She looks over to the Speedster, "So... you're a mechanic?"
Project Violet
A team? Teams grow organically from trust. None of us trust each other yet, do we? Maybe I should just read all their minds and find out who's crazier than me?
But that would be rude.
Violet watches Whippoorwhill leave, observes Rocket posture, and listens to the rest of the group as they talk about who they are and what they do.
When it's her turn.
"Nothing special. I was created in a lab as part of a secret government project to create disposable humans. They got me. You know. Normal stuff. Bad things happened, I got put in a tiny room and brought out to take care of some bad people once in a while... Normal stuff. My uncle Bill and I think we can find who killed dad and stole my brother, but... Ace says the same thing, so."
She shrugs, and smiles. "Here now."
Hotaru Hoshiko
Well, that was one way to be drawn out of self-pity. Hotaru watched as Violet described her 'home life', she looked confused at first, then skeptical.
After a short delay, "That suggests there's more than one of you. If they only got one, then.." she trails off. "And what exactly do you do?" She suddenly realized that 'Purple Girl' did not really explain her powerset at all. Unless all she did was make things purple. But... that wouldn't really make sense with this whole 'power level' thing.
Project Violet
Violet shrugs. "There's only one me. Maybe later I'll explain it all but it'd just confuse you right now. I put people to sleep. Mostly. Like, real sleep, not... you know... euthanasia or anything. Just. Sleep. And I find people. I'm good at that."
Oh god could I be any worse at this? They're all going to hate me.
Violet wiggles her fingers and manages a laugh. "I have spooky nightmare mind powers... OooOOOOooo..."
There. That's better. Funny is always better, right?
She looks at Rocket, determined to make small talk and find a way to shift the conversation before she has to explain about the men in suits. Her own fault, she opened the can.
"So, um... what's the worst car to work on, like, ever?"
mdt
Ace stands up. "Ok everyone, I'm sure you'd like to stay up until late in the night talking, but everyone needs rest tomorrow. We're going to start trying to figure out what you can do, and how dangerous or helpful it is. Breakfast at 8AM, and training from 9 until 1, then lunch, then the afternoon we start teaching you the basics of combat."
Shadowcat grins. "Yeah, at the end of the week, we bring in two more teachers, and you do your best to try to take us down."
She stops, and looks at Violet. "The answer to your question is a 1965 Mercedes-Benz 600 Grosser." She shudders, and heads off with Ace.
Feel free to wrap up the Q&A already started... but don't add any new Q's
The Silo is a large open area with a set of curved stairs leading down to the top of the area. The walls are lined with tiles held together with steel bracing.
"Ok, so, today, we're going to start with movement, let's find out who can fly, who can teleport, and who can run or jump. We also want to find those limits..." Ace says, and floats up off the ground, supported by nothing, until he's 10 meters up and floating next to a wall.
Shadowcat fades from sight, and appears resting against the wall opposite of Ace, defying gravity. "Now, I think we know our winged early starter can fly. Today, we see how fast she can. Whippoorwill, let's see how fast you can reach the top of the silo. Don't try it the other way yet, you'll need to learn how hard you can stop."
Ace nods at Zach. "You seemed to be able to run fast, see how fast you can run around the wall. We've set up a track at 8 meters. Once you're on it, you should be able to run flat out."
Shadowcat points to a box next to the staircase. "Everyone put on ear protectors, in case he pops the sound barrier."
Once both the known qualities show their skills
"OK, now, the rest are unknowns. Who wants to go first?" Ace asks, nodding at the two leads for doing a good job showing off.
Saffron "Aegis" Sinclair
Aegis looks a little disappointed."I can't really do anything like that. Speed, flight, not really my style."
Hotaru Hoshiko
Hotaru shrugs and moves to the new room. At the offer of ear protectors, she puts them on. She wonders about whether or not he can somehow hear while moving that fast, if he can, but doesn't ask. She likewise doesn't volunteer, as she doesn't really know how she'd find out if she could or couldn't do any of those things. Discovering you can only fly mostly in a straight line... and down... didn't really appeal to her. What she does do, though, is ask.
"How do we find out..?" she says, looking to the two in charge. And she probably regrets volunteering via said question.
Project Violet
Violet doesn't know she can fly, nor use her force field, yet. If it's okay with MDT, I'd prefer it if those come out via stressful situations rather than a Danger Room situation. Of course if you'll all prefer they get known now, we can have a "training accident." ;)
Violet will happily explain her illusion powers by making people see puppies and kittens - and zombies. The zombies are dressed as clowns. Because clowns are terrifying.
She does not wish to put anyone to sleep, but will eagerly reach out to use her telepathy to speak to them. If push comes to shove, she will pick a (willing) member of the team and exert her will over theirs long enough to make them sing Uptown Funk Mind Control.
And the moment anyone makes a crack about her height or stature, she slips into full-on "Creepy Psychic" mode meaning the Presence Aid to dissuade them of that notion.
Violet will also watch everything that Goo does with rapt attention. He's fascinating.
Acting: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6) = 12 Violet also tries to prevent anyone from catching her gawping at any displays of power that Ace displays. She's got confidence in her powers, but he has comfort with his.
mdt
Shadowcat suddenly straighten's explosively, shooting straight across the silo, and landing with a reverberating thud on the opposite wall, next to Ace.
Ace frowns. "Do you have to do that?"
"Yes." She looks down at Aegis. "You said you turned to metal, were strong? Turn to metal and see how high you can jump. Start off easy, then keep going harder and harder. Don't jump through the roof. Strength can get you around pretty well."
Ace nods at Aegis, and then turns to Hotaru. "Concentrate on your powers, you know how to access them, or you couldn't hear radios. Imagine sending them out and down around your feet. Imagine pushing down through your hands. Imagine the magnetic fields around you wrapping around you and lifting you up."
"Throw yourself at the ground and miss." Shadowcat suggests helpfully.
"That isn't helping Cat."
"Made me smile..."
It is entirely up to you how/when you figure out your powers. This is a good chance to figure out you can fire flashes, or that could happen in combat up to you. Same applies to everyone.
Hotaru Hoshiko
The following assumes that there's metal in the floor beneathe Hotaru. :p
Hotaru sits for a moment... trying to grab on to any spare connections, but they seem to fizzle. Focusing her energy from outwards to inwards, she can feel her heat starting to build up. Best not to do that. She pushes that same energy down, and shakes her head. "I don't-" she says as she starts to turn to Ace, but as her body moves, her feet do not, causing her to stumble forward, and catching herself on her hands, sending pain ringing upwards through her arms. Okay... so now she also wasn't as strong as a steel door. Which made sense, since that seemed to also be something she had to focus on. "Ow." she says, as she loses concentration and her feet slip off. "Ano... okay, I think I can do that."
Working off of the idea that she'll have to learn to walk and turn the power into muscle memory... not just immediately know how. :)
The Rocket
Last night
"I don't really know much about cars actually--I mean, I bet I could read up on them pretty quickly, if I had to, I've gotten to be a much fast reader than I used to be--but I think Shadowcat's saying I'm fast at doing things in general. Like making those sandwiches.
"Just before I left, I started spending a bit of time every day doing piece-work--you know those ads? 'Moms! Earn money at home doing simple crafts'? Most of them are bunk and the rest only earn you like four or five dollars per hour...but if you can work at 100 times the speed of regular people, suddenly that's not so bad."
Rocket grins, then adds, "That's just for money though. I used to spend all my time playing baseball but...well...it's not so much fun if I know I'll always win and the challenge is how to not look like I'm...meta, I guess we're calling us.
"Now I guess I'm getting into painting, especially murals. I'm not so good yet but back in Oakland there are some awesome muralists, totally inspiring. I brought some paint with me--maybe I'll try to liven up the silo sometime, if one of you wants to join me?"
Now
Rocket watches as others test themselves, eager for a chance to prove himself. When his turn comes, he has a look of determined concentration.
He stretches, lets his vision slip into slo-mo mode, and then starts to run around the track. By watching his peers’ eyes he can tell he’s become a blur, but he also hasn’t seen anyone react to a sonic boom yet. Come on, Zach! You heard Bolt break the speed of sound. If she can do it, I bet I can too!
Sweat starts to fly off of him and he keeps going but without really gaining any speed. Suddenly it feels like his legs have been unleashed and he sees the boom go across the rest of the gang’s faces, meaning he’s broken the sound barrier for the first time. With a scream of wild glee he pushes further and further...and finally unlocks another massive burst--and for nearly 30 seconds he manages to run at 12,000 meters/second or 43,000 km/hour.
After less than half a minute at his new top speed, Zach collapses, heaving for breath, lungs feeling like they’re on fire...and legs feeling about the same...but with a smile a mile wide.
”Not...bad, eh?...Do you...think...Bolt can...top...that?”
Dark Goo
Goo stands silently and listens to the conversations his companions are having about their powers and thinks, It sounds like they all want their powers, they enjoy being a Metahuman. I just want my old life back. When Ace is solicits another volunteer he reluctantly steps forward and says, “I'll go next.” “I don't really think I can do anything specIAL.” He shrugs his shoulders, “I'm strong and made of goO.” He waits for instruction on what to try.
mdt
It takes nearly 10 minutes for the 30 mph winds to die down after Zach stops.
Ace shrugs. "Not sure, anything above Mach 5, it's hard for me to gauge. I know her top speed is Mach 51 or so, but she can't keep it up for more than 20 seconds. If she could, she could run around the earth in 40 minutes, or so she says."
You DID put in a 'More Powerful Rival'. :) She actually tops out at Mach 51.4, you manage just shy of Mach 45
"What I know is, you shouldn't do that inside the city, you'll shatter the windows." Shadowcat says, rubbing at her ear.
mdt
Shadowcat frowns. "Well, I'd say try jumping, but I don't think that works without leg muscles. Try flinging yourself as hard as you can. I..." She looks away for a moment. "...I uh... I fought something... kind of like... you. It couldn't run, or jump... it had to sort of... oooze... in an arc, from spot to spot..." She vanishes.
Hotaru Hoshiko
"Well... that's not cryptic." Hotaru says as she grins. It was nice seeing that something would make the older woman uncomfortable. "You might be able to sling shot, too. Or bounce. Or just stretch and pull. Or glide... depending on your actual density, stickiness, and all that." She said, running through her head for other 'gooey' people.
Project Violet
So, who wants to be the star of Violet's Karaoke Spectacular? ;)
Hotaru Hoshiko
If she picks Hotaru, I promise Hotaru will start training mental defense with Ace. :p. The ear worm will become a reality. That being said... I'm not sure any of the characters would enjoy being a puppet.
Earlier, to Snailboy <3
"Oh? Painting? I don't really have any experience, but if the teachers won't mind... covering everything in murals-" she gets a big grin, "Especially comic book murals - may be good for morale. Imagine showing up and the first thing you see is the Fantastic Four duking it out with Doctor Doom."
Project Violet
Violet won't pick anyone - it's all purely voluntary, I assure you.
mdt
When none of the other recruits agree to let Violet use her powers on them, Shadowcat waves resignedly. "Go for it, just be aware I will break the control eventually, and any embarrassing things you make me do will be held against you with extreme prejudice."
Then she turns to Zach and grins. "And before you get all uppity, I can hit mach 8 and keep it going all day..." She then vanishes and reappears, at the top of the silo, hanging upside down from the silo door.
Whippoorwill
Whippoorwill is likely the first awake the next day, mainly because she slept fitfully and awoke sometime in the middle of the night.
Presuming she could find the light switch, she takes a few morning reps in the silo until the group comes down for breakfast. She joins them silently, skin already taken on a sheen of sweat. Her red-gold hair is pulled back in a tail, and she's wearing durable workout clothes, again favoring a tank that leaves most of her back bare.
Whippoorwill offers no bravado. She simply nods in the direction of the trainer and launches herself as best she can. It's a bit wobbly and uneven at first, going from the ground into a climb, but her wings flap incredibly fast for their bulk. With a whoosh of air she is airborne and she pushes hard into the climb. When she reaches the top, she stalls for a heartbeat, then dives into a corkscrew. She spirals down to the floor, taking several strong beats of her wings before hitting the surface. "How was that?" she asks, puffing slightly.

Shadowcat nods. "Very good. You'll probably find the afternoons boring, we go over tactics and such, but you should still pay attention, some things that work with normals don't with our types." She comments, apparently pleased that Whippoorwill didn't push the envelope. "We'll have to get you in the open for some real time trials, but it looks like you can hit a good clip. Endurance and height might be different. Tonight, we'll try to get some speed trials and see how high you can go. We'll send you up with an oxy tank, and I'll be watching, to catch if I need to."
Project Violet
When none of the other recruits agree to let Violet use her powers on them, Shadowcat waves resignedly. "Go for it, just be aware I will break the control eventually, and any embarrassing things you make me do will be held against you with extreme prejudice."
"Well, I got taught to never ask anyone anything I'm not willing to do myself, so this will be a duet."
With that, Violet will willingly embarrass the heck out of herself right along with Shadowcat.
10d6 Mind Control: 10d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 3, 5, 3, 2, 3, 2, 6) = 35
When they've managed a few verses of "Uptown Funk" and a small medley of Garbage, Violet lets the control go and returns to her position by the wall.
Whippoorwill
Whippoorwill nods in agreement with the next stage of her assessments. When the others begin to demonstrate their powers, she folds her arms and stands back. She shakes her head vigorously when Violet suggests finding volunteers for her mind control experiment.
After an hour or so passes and the gang is huffing and puffing from exertion, she moves over to Ace during a break. "You said something to me that day we first met. Something about my pinfeathers? What did you mean by that?"
Dark Goo
Listening to the advice of Shadow Cat and Pulse causes Goo smile. Gliding would be cool, he thinks as he remembers Whippoorwill’s flying demonstration from yesterday. I know I can walk, jumping shouldn’t be much different from that. Just use the same muscles in a different way, he concludes. Standing in the center of the silo he focuses on jumping, he pauses a second and then Goo tenses his muscles and jumps. To his surprise he shoots up 30 meters, he closes his eyes and braces himself for the impact of the landing… and nothing. Goo opens his eyes and looks around quickly determining that he is still 30 meters up in the air. He thinks with joy, I’m flying! and hastily looks down. To his astonishment his body is stretched out to the ground the entire 30 meters. To his embarrassment he never leaves the ground in his attempt to jump.
He stays stretched for a couple of seconds and then yells down to his companions, “Help I don’t know how to get dOWN.”
The Rocket
Hotaru Hoshiko
"Can you lean!?" she calls up. "If you do, you'll probably be able to just slide down the side!"
mdt
Shadowcat obediently sings along as best she can, but given she doesn't know the lyrics, there's an odd 'echo' effect as she repeats what is sung.
---------------------
Ace looks at Whippoorwill, and nods at her wings. "You flung the wings several times while we were... working. The red ones exploded when they were flung free."
---------------------
Shadowcat chuckles at Goo. "Try relaxing."
Dark Goo
Goo listens to the advice thrown in his direction, Lean and slide, I think if I lean I'll fall over like a tree felled by a lumberjack. He stands there paralyzed for a few seconds and tries to relax the muscles he had tensed. As he does so he snaps downward like an over extended rubber band.
A little dazed by the experience he hastily mumbles, “ThankS.”
mdt
"Trinity, our medical specialist, examined them. The pinfeathers have hollow shafts, with two or three chambers in it. Your body seems to be generating binary or trinary agents into them. When the feather hits something hard enough, the chambers break and mix, and something nasty happens. I saw something that looked like an acid, and another that just exploded. The one with acid seems to be hydrogen in one chamber, and iodine in another. Mix the two and you get hydroiodic acid, which is nasty stuff, half again as strong as hydrocholoric acid. Fortunately, you don't get a lot of concentration on it. Explosive seems to be hydrogen based as well."
Project Violet
Shadowcat obediently sings along as best she can, but given she doesn't know the lyrics, there's an odd 'echo' effect as she repeats what is sung.
Aw, I can't put the words in her head? Well, I'll do what I can and make sure that it's a burden shared. Violet does want people to like her, after all. Even if she is a freak of science.
