Mystic or military - Everyday kinetic blasts (Havocker Witch Fix + new Magus Archetype)

Grand Lodge

Hi,

Short intro: Myself and people I play with or DM for are accustomed to mid levels of character optimization to get the most interesting abilities or big bonuses at low levels (huge fans of E6 with ritual higher magic), so these archetypes were created (and will be used for my npcs) for such an audience. Personally, I loved the Warlock and Warmage from 3.5 for breaking the standard of spellcasters - no more summoning, BFC or only SoS/SoD, instead very satisfying feeling of blasting enemies to bits. Obviously, the effectiveness of these classes is known, but the spirit/theme of them is something I want to see more often in Pathfinder. While blasting sorcerer etc. builds are a thing, they lack the staying power, so I really had high hopes for the Kineticist - and it was total hate at first sight because of the Burn mechanic...

So without further ado:

The new, now useful, Havocker Witch

Patron Element
At 1st level, Havocker selects a specific kineticist element and thematically suitable witch patron, because they both represent the shadowy forces from which she gains her familiar and class powers. The havocker gains the elemental focus and kinetic blast class features with the associated element, using her witch level as her effective kineticist level. If the havocker takes levels in another class that grants an elemental focus, the elemental focuses must be the same type, even if that means that the elemental focus of one of the classes must change. Subject to GM discretion, the havocker can change her former elemental focus to make them conform.
This ability replaces the witch’s 1st-level hex.

Patron Spells
Havocker gains the spells known from her patron one level later than normal (so the first spell at 3rd level, second at 5th and so on).
This ability modifies patron spells.

Infusion
At 2nd level the havocker gains an infusion wild talent from the list of options available based on her elemental focus, functioning as the kineticist ability of the same name. A havocker must meet the prerequisites of the infusion wild talent and can’t accept burn (but see the spellburn ability below). At any time she can gain a new witch hex, she can instead gain a new infusion.
This ability replaces the witch’s hex from 2nd level.

Spellburn
Beginning at 2nd level, a havocker can channel stored spell energy into her kinetic blast to increase the blast’s overall utility and power. To use her infusions, the havocker must lose a prepared witch spell to apply the infusion to her kinetic blast. Any spell sacrificed is required to have a spell level equal to or greater than the infusion’s effective spell level. The havocker cannot accept additional burn if the infusion would allow her to do so.

Spellburn Overflow
At 6th level the havocker gains the elemental overflow class ability, treating her witch level as her effective kineticist level, but needs to use spellburn to activate it. As a swift action, she can sacrifice a spell slot as an equivalent of taking burn equal to the spell slot level. Once activated, the bonuses remain for a number of rounds equal to her Intelligence modifier. If used again, the duration refreshes and bonuses are recalculated according to the last spell slot sacrificed.
This ability replaces the witch’s hex from 6nd level.

Ravager Magus

Source Element
At 1st level the ravager selects one kineticist element and gains the elemental focus and kinetic blast class features with the associated element, using his magus level as his effective kineticist level. If the ravager takes levels in another class that grants an elemental focus, the elemental focuses must be the same type, even if that means that the elemental focus of one of the classes must change. Subject to GM discretion, the ravager can change his former elemental focus to make them conform.
This ability replaces cantrips, but the ravager gains the detect magic and read magic cantrips and places them in his spellbook. He can cast either of these as 1st-level spells.

Kinetic Combat
The ravager can substitute kinetic blast for a spell while using spell combat.
This ability modifies spell combat.

Kinetic Strike
The ravager can only use spellstrike to channel kinetic blast through his weapon.
This ability modifies spellstrike.

Defensive Energy
The ravager gains the defensive wild talent from the list of options available based on his elemental focus, functioning as the kineticist ability of the same name, but needs to use spellburn to activate it. As a swift action, he can expend points from his arcane pool (see the spellburn ability below) to activate this ability for a number of rounds equal to his Intelligence modifier. If used again, the duration refreshes and bonuses are recalculated according to the number of points expended.
This ability replaces spell recall. Ravager gains spell recall instead of improved spell recall at 11th level.

Spellburn
Beginning at 4th level, ravager spend 2 points from arcane pool to substitute for taking Burn to power his elemental defence talent and infusions. He can never spend more arcane points this way than half his magus level at once.

Infusion
The ravager gains an infusion wild talent from the list of options available based on his elemental focus, functioning as the kineticist ability of the same name. A ravager must meet the prerequisites of the infusion wild talent and can’t accept burn, but can use spellburn to power it. He can always gain a new infusion instead of a magus arcana.
This ability replaces the magus arcana gained at 6th level.

Spellburn Overflow
At 7th level the ravager gains the elemental overflow class ability, treating her witch level as her effective kineticist level, but needs to activate it just like the defensive energy class ability. If he is able to expend required number of arcane pool points, he can activate these two abilities with one swift action.
This ability replaces knowledge recall.

Any feedback would be welcome, for these are crude attempts to better combine kineticist blasting with spellcasting.
