Quick question about gold rewards vs chronicle sheets

Hello guys,

I'm preparing a scenario for tonight and I didn't understand something. I'm preparing a scenario from Season 2 and its like my 3rd PFS session Dmed. I was wondering how to calculate rewards in gp. You know, at the end of the scenario, they award PCs with a amount of gold (lets say 500gp). But at some encounters, they specify to reward "each player 560gp" for exemple. Does it means they'll receive the chronicle sheet gold + encounter gold? Do they receive 560 + 500 = 1060gp or only the amount listed on the chronicle sheet?

HALP ME :D

Peace!

It means that if they skip those encounters you REMOVE that gold from the Chronicle sheet. The gold is generally listed for people who use the scenarios for non-PFS homeplay.

Some of the older scenarios had it worded like you say. As that gor a bit confusing, newer scenarios word it, 'if the pcs fail to d x, substact x gold'. Less math that way. You dont have to worry about adjusting their hold unless they skip or fail encounters. Then you reduce the gold earned. You can never earn more gold then listed on the chronicle.

Okay, it sounded wierd to reward more gold than what was written on the chronicle sheet. So I just need to care about the chronicle sheet, got it.

Thx !
