With Starfinder not available until August 2017. Is there some suggested books in Pathfinder to tie ppl over until the release?

Might I recommend Book of Heroic Races: Advanced Androids. Get a leg up on one of the core races of Starfinder now.

Not only that, we are working on technologicial equipment for the various races going in an appendix in the Book of Heroic Races: Advanced Compendium.

Distant Worlds will be quite handy. You actually have info on other planets now.

That aside, when Arcforge: Technology expanded finally releases, it will be loaded with great content regarding mecha, new weapons, and psionic integration into technology.

something to keep in mind, there is a good chance that technology will work differently in Starfinder than it does in Pathfinder. i would expect all of the timeworn tables to be gone, misfires not a thing outside of special effects making them happen. Hopefully we will see a redo on damage types and resistances too otherwise lasers and plasma weapons are going to be near useless against a lot of enemy types that resist energy.
