Where can I buy pre assembled / painted figurines?

Miniatures

I don't have the kits or the talent/patience to assemble and paint figurines myself, so where does a guy like me turn to, to get quality crafted/painted/assembled figurines?

Mako, it depends on your expectations and resources.

For a long time I did for-hire painting at what I considered a reasonable cost for an excellent level of quality, I had a thriving business for years, but got so much into gaming myself I stopped doing it on a for-hire basis and now just do it for local friends and game buddies.

But there are other painters out there. I'd suggest hitting Bartertown.org and The Miniatures Page (TMP) and checking both of their Paint-for-hire sections. For B-Town, you'll have to make an account and then post an ad. Interested painters will respond to you directly. For TMP, you can access the emails of painters without joining the site, but it IS a great site for eye candy.

You'll find many can reach an arrangement where you (or even they) can buy the minis, have it mailed to the painter, they will base and paint it and mail it to you finished.

99% of paint-for-hire services have different levels of painting at various prices, so if you need to go cheap, they can accommodate, or if you want something that really stands out, they can do that (at a higher price) too.

There are even off-shore (I'm in the USA) services that will do masses of figures (we're talking hundreds) with a basic paint job for around $2 each + shipping. You'd need to pay shipping too and from though.

Bartertown was specifically set up for buying and selling used and new wargaming figures, and you can find remnants of Fantasy armies that are very useful for RPG's there. Likewise, TMP has a Marketplace where you can trade and buy/sell figures.

If you do not see what you are looking for after perusing their sites, don't just give up, they have new posts daily, and each week you'll find things you did not see before.

NOTE: Read the rules of both sites before deciding to become a member or dealing with anyone there so you do not get yourself doghoused or banned from some oversight.

And of course there is eBay and the toy section of Craigslist (sometimes...)

thank you.

Silver Crusade

Or you can just go with prepainted plastic figures. They're lower quality, but there are plenty of them out there these days. The Pathfinder Battles line and D&D Miniatures lines both have a pretty good selection. You definitely won't find some things, though. It's mostly core races (human, elf, halfling, dwarf), not even many green skinned guys for half-orcs.

Try googling "pathfinder prepainted miniatures" and see what comes up.

Liberty's Edge

Just had some work done by BigMini studio. They did great work for me.
