PFS PBP Gameday 5 is running Sky Key Solution.
Sky Key Solution has a mustering phase during which players can introduce themselves before the game, purchase last minute equipment from vendors and roll Knowledge checks about what they think might be happening.
The Gameday doesn't start until the 27th. Can my table chat and introduce themselves to each other and purchase gear so long as I avoid using box text?
I am assuming that knowledge checks and box text must wait until the 27th of August?

Any out of character things and/or character introductions and role play that doesn't have to do with the scenario is generally considered fair game before the official start date. Anything that actually has to do with the scenario should wait until the official start to try and maintain pace with the other tables as much as possible.

You have the right idea. Your table is free to chat as much as you'd like before hand, but anything from the scenario must wait until the 27th.
