Large and invisible heroes / iconics

Invisible adventurers.
We've seen WizKids do "invisible" figures as variants for the D&D miniature line, which seems awesome. Invisible versions of few key inconics would be be super hand, even for people not playing those characters. They're a great visual reminder that a character is invisible but also where they are on the battlemap.

I'd also love to see large variants.
Similar or identical sculpts but sized up to large size, for use with enlarge person and such. After all, anyone who has played an enlarging creature knows the dissatisfaction of tacking a large base on a medium creature (almost as teeny tiny looking as the Heroes and Monsters troll) or swapping out their adventurer with a convenient ogre or giant.

While I understand the attraction such an idea holds, I would really rather they spent the effort and miniature slots on other things. This game is one of imagination after all.

As for the D&D invisible figures, I found they were more of a pain than they were worth. They knocked out Rares from slots. Not worth it in my opinion.

So do them up as part of the Iconics line after the current crop of Iconic heroes are all said and done (a ways away, I know since we have only 15 at present out of 36[?]). I for one am always down for more variants of the Iconic characters, heck I want minis of the Valeros, Meri, Ezren and Seoni as goblins (Cover of Pathfinder Issue 1, Paizo.com exclusive variant) and I know that it's never going to happen.

They chose to make them rares for the D&D line. They could just as easily be an Uncommon or even a Common.

Making them part of the iconic heroes line would work. A couple newer iconics, an invisible iconic, and an enlarged iconic.

And it would encourage people to buy the later iconic sets that are full of a bunch of newer, less familiar characters.

Litko makes invisible character markers.

Those are handy but less cool.

I have a crafty gamer at my table who makes his own minis. He uses green stuff, sometimes modifying Reapers and sometimes building from scratch.
He's also made molds of his minis and then used that to make a clear acrylic copy. It just looks awesome to have the exact mini but transparent. And if there are multiple invisible characters, it becomes easier to tell them apart.

The two big expenses of making a mini are creating the mold and painting. Which is why repaints are handy and cheaper. But for invisible minis, WizKids already has the mold and they don't need to paint so they're very cost effective.
