Missing GM session: Free RPG Day 2011

Event was #6896 and was reported at the time as a table credit with no players (no PFS numbers or interest in same).

I edited the event from the completed events page, and noticed that there was not a link to the We Be Goblins event. Added We Be Goblins and noticed in the Reporting page that Session 1 is listed but does not have a linked scenario. Scenario dropdown now lists both WBG and WBG Print Edition.

I suspect something got nudged in the DB yesterday afternoon/evening EDT and broke a linking identifier.

Additional findings:

After examining the event in the Edit screen, I found that the We Be Goblins scenario was not linked.

I added the available WBG RPG scenario, and opened the Reporting screen. The scenario dropdown listed both WBG and WBG Print Edition.

The event "sessions" link does not show any sessions, but the Reporting page Find Session finds session #1 (the only one which should exist), does not show a selected scenario.

Selecting WBG Print Edition in the scenario dropdown does not render the input areas for GM information.

Selecting WBG in the scenario dropdown renders the input areas as normal.

It appears even more likely that there is a linking record missing from the WBG Print Edition to the table of reportable scenarios.

NEXT STEPS: Should I just recreate the table (as I had no players, it's a trivial table to recreate), or should the dev/database team clean up that record while it's still traceable?

I also lost two table as of this morning -

Master of the Fallen Fortress - Event #2766 for Worldwide Game Day 2010 on 06/19/2010 has disappeared

Godsmouth Heresy - Event #5578 for Dora Gameday on 04/10/2011 has disappeared.

Strangeness, because both DO show up under GM/Event Coordinator, but NOT under Sessions

Shadow Lodge

Hmmm... I know I lost around 5, but I can't tell which. Not a big deal for me as there's not much difference between 276 and 271, but still... <shrug> figured I'd report it as well.

Without modifying the events, if you go into reporting, if the listed scenario disown is for the print edition and when it's selected there are no input fields for entering the gm info then you're seeing the same unlinking issue as me...

Exactly correct, sir. I have the same symptom in my two events.

I have the same problem sems to be mostly linked to Modules that have 2 options for reporting now, Print edition or non Print Edition. Some if not all defaulted to the Print Edition which removed the ability to report GM Credit.

Welp, just waiting on the official word on how they want us to fix it... if someone has a table with players on it with this symptom set, and it still has data, the "switch to the reportable event and save" may be a fix, or they may want to handle it in the DB.

The Exchange

I'm down 20 sessions due to the same issue.

I'm looking into this, but juggling multiple issues at the moment. I'll provide an update as soon as I can.

Some GMs will receive a session "loss" because they were previously getting credit (incorrectly) for ACG sessions, which was just fixed last week.

This sounds like a different issue which I will be investigating.

Color me hopeful that my investigation was helpful.

I was going to reply in another thread, but it fits better here.

You are corrct this is a different issue, the problem seems to be with some Modules (Maybe more then modules) are now showing up twice for reporting they are listed as following as an example

Pathfinder Module: The Godsmouth Heresy (PFRPG) Print
Pathfinder Module: The Godsmouth Heresy (PFRPG)

The ones that are showing with the extra Print at the end went in by default after that change and removed all GM reporting, and Prestige reporting from the players. The games are still in the system as reported but with no Prestige information or GM information.

Is this bug still being worked (or still in the queue)? I'm still down 20 sessions. I keep a spreadsheet of my own, but I haven't tried to hunt down the specific ones since there are over 500 on the list.

Software Developer

It's being actively worked on. I'm working on a related fix, and if the related fix doesn't automatically sweep this into it, I'll be covering this.

The Exchange

Thanks for the quick reply! Your time & efforts are much appreciated.

Scott, I know that you are working on it but I want to share what I have discovered in case you haven't already identified it.

All the Pathfinder Modules that I reported in 2010 & 2011 are missing off my PFS sessions log. I can provide a list if it will help, but I noticed that the session of Master of the Fallen Fortress that I played at PaizoCon 2010 is not hyperlinked like every other scenario I played is. Again, you probably already knew this but FWIW I'm reporting it.

Here are the missing sessions from my GM log. Regrettably I didn't track the event codes. It appears that We Be Goblins! (2011 Free RPG Day adventure) has no issues, but no other modules show up until after July 16th, 2011. Also, the 2011 PaizoCon Grand Melee is missing.

Software Developer

There are a number of older events that have had their links broken (as suspected by many of you). I'm working on repairing them and will hopefully have them all repaired for this upcoming release. I'll keep you updated on progress.

Software Developer

Much of the missing data should be repaired. Dragnmoon, you'll still be missing a few which I'm planning on tackling here shortly.

There are some corner cases that I've missed, but I'll be getting to those. If anyone has sessions they want to make sure are included, feel free to list them here.

I don't seem to be missing much, I only seem to be missing one module, but I can only look closely at the games I have reported.
