Printing interactive maps Paizo

Website Feedback

I have decided to start printing maps for my group.

My printer guy tried to blow up and move items from the .pdf to photoshop so he can print just the image (as color printing is expensive). He says the form is secured and needs a password.

I called and they won't give me a password, which is fine, but I need to know how to move the images from the .pdf to crop into photoshop so my printer guy can print them.

Can anyone tell me how to crop out the maps and move them so I can print them individually?

You will likely need to use some sort of screenshot utility. I'm not a windows guy so I'm afraid I don't know of one to recommend.

What I do on my Mac is:
1. Set the interactive PDF to show what I want
2. Zoom in to my desired resolution.
2. Use the "Command-Shift-4" key combo to engage the selective screen shot mode. Then I can select a portion of the screen to capture. And with large images, it even allows for scrolling so that I can capture an image much larger than my display.

I don't know if that helps but it's my best attempt.

So apparently the screen shot feature on my mac won't scroll on adobe reader for whatever reason. The snapshot feature in Adobe Reader does scroll, however, and I'm going to see if that will work for my printer guy.

Weird. It used to work. I'm getting the same behavior on my machine.

Yes, you have it correct. I apparently was always using the "Take A Snapshot" function but didn't remember it, since I haven't captured from interactive pdfs in a long time.
