Animal Companion training harness?

I know PFS animal companions only get neck and barding slots. Is a training harness considered to go in the barding slot? Does it take a slot at all?

Its unslotted so it should be good.

Those slots are "magic item" slots, so mundane items don't interfere with them. You could wear a neck-slot item and a regular piece of non-magical jewelry around your neck without a problem.
