City Qualities of Katapesh

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Katapesh City hasn't been statted out since the release of the Game Mastery Guide, as far as I know. I am writing its stats out and as a metropolis it gets 6 qualities. Notorious, prosperous, strategic location and tourist attraction all seem to make sense to me. What do you think the other 2 should be?

Grand Lodge

Considering the amount of Guilds in Katapesh and how both the Dark Markets and Legacy of Fire guides reference the citizen's dedication to learning their trade, whatever that may be, I would say Academic can probably apply.

Also considering that Capitalism and Free Trade are venerated as much as any deity you could even go so far as to say Katapesh is Pious, at least in regards to the Principles of Capitalism. Maybe instead of the spell casting bonus just give an increase to base value and apply the other penalties to those who are openly critical of Katapesh or The Pactmasters or who does anything that interferes with free trade.

Just my 2cp.

Dark Markets of Katapesh and the Legacy of Fire AP #21 (The Jackal's Price I believe) both flesh out Katapesh some. I know because it is one of my favorite areas of the Inner Sea. Katapesh has the following stats:

Size: Metropolis (conventional); Alignment: Neutral
GP Limit: 100,000 GP; Assets: 1,000,000,000 GP
Population: 212,300
Type: mixed (80% human, 6% dwarf, 5% half-elf, 2% half-orc, 3% Halfling, 3% gnome, 1% other race. 70% of the populace is free, 25% permanent slaves and 5% temporary criminal sentenced slaves.

Authority: The Pactmasters; Pactbroker Hasham Ibn Sayyid (Neutral Male Human Expert6)

This is from Page 29 of the Dark Markets of Katapesh.
However, they left the 6 qualities open. I would look at Tourist Attraction, Strategic Location, Prosperous, and then 3 others. Keep in mind, that the Night Stalls got a write up too in the recent Black Markets book from Paizo.

Sovereign Court

The most recent Black Markets companion book stats out Katapesh I think (at least the Dark Markets part of it)

Which some of you know as... shoo, players, shoo!:
The Nightstalls (NE, Katapesh)
