Oh man, I love Luther. After I worked my way through the whole series over a weekend, it became my go to show to have on in the background while I'm working on other stuff.
While I guess it could cause negative impressions of the hobby among those who don't know better and don't understand that it's a work of fiction, I really enjoyed the RPG episodes.
Season 1 keeps the one episode one case formula, while the later seasons do split episodes. Both formats work really well.
Oh, British Broadcasting Corporation...ok.

I really enjoy Luther. It's simply very good on just about every level. As mentioned, the interactions between John and Alice are particularly fun.
And the 'RPG Killer' episodes were fine, IMO. At no point was their playing games previously really blamed for their behavior, and the computer guy's knowledge of such things indicated he played, and he didn't ever get portrayed negatively.

Looks like they are, but it'll be before Alice entered the show, which is disappointing. They've been talking about an Alice spin-off though, which I'd totally watch.
