[LPJ Design] Who should do the cover for Pirates of the Bronze Sky?

Product Discussion

Let me know what you think!

Well, I may be biased, but we've had good luck with Kristin Collins so far. The project actually seems like the sort of thing Ramon Perez would do but I'd imagine he's fairly pricey as well.

I'm sure Larry Elmore is way out of the price range too. :D

There are so many talented artists available, it's really hard to narrow it down. Three I wouldn't hesitate to recommend are Kristin Collins, Heather Crook, and William Rodriguez. They've done bang-up work for us at 4WFG, and they're very reasonable.

Whomever did the internal art for Burnt Offerings, I love that look: the head shots of Aldern and Shalelu, the portrait of Tsuto and Erylium - that angle-y, cross-hatched look would suit steampunk perfectly.

I dunno who whose art that is though.

Sovereign Court

That artist was pretty cool although I think there were a lot of complaints about the style at the time...

I remember that. I actually regret not being a regular poster back then, because now that artist has been phased out.

I know he might not be popular with th crowd here but I've long been partial to Todd Lockwood's work. He did a great cover for the Savage Tide Player's Guide.

Dark Archive

Scour Deviant for styles you like. I really like digital art so that it kind of has a semi real feel to the picture. Also it might be interesting to see a combination real model & CGI if you could find someone who is good with photoshop and Corel. A good digital art piece would work too. Anyone know the artist that did the artwork for the Age of Pirates games?

Dark Archive

Dan Scott, David Rapoza, Jason Engle, Howard Lyon, or Kekai Kotai. :D

Wayne Reynolds or Tony DiTerlizzi.

I recommend Hugo "Butterfrog" Solis and Jason Rainville who have both done covers for Rite Publishing (though I have not released them to the general public).

Hugo did part of the Cover to Wayfinder #1 as well and is a noted artist for Wolfgang Baur's Open Design and our own Questhaven series, I will be showing off his Litorians cover when we get closer to a release date.

Jason Rainville has been our artist on Coliseum Morpheuon and just turned in an amazing cover that again I will release publicly when we get closer to the release date), He did the cover for Race for the Crystal Fold and two of his interior artwork pieces have shown up on our front page.

LPjr if you would like to see those covers I will give you a sneak peek and you can make your own judgement just shoot me a line.

I would recommend Arthur Wang but his style does not really fit Pirates fo the Bronze Sky and he has not done a cover for us yet.

The other reason is they won't cost you your first born child like a number of the names I have seen listed here.

If you do go with digital art, look at SciFi Meshes. They may not have a piece there for this, but there are quite a few artist there. Some are professsional & others are very talented amateurs.
