I know people have complained about the claw/bite damage being reversed in the stats but I'm looking at the stats and I'm seeing a lot of other discrepancies that I'm hoping someone can help me get settled before game night.
First off, he starts out with:
- +10 melee (1d8+7/x3, masterwork dwarven urgrosh)
His optional single attack is listed as:
- +8 melee (1d6+4, claw)
His Full Attacks are similarly messed up:
- +6 melee (1d8+4/x3, dwarven urgrosh)
- +2 melee (1d6+2/x3, dwarven urgrosh)
- +2 melee (1d4+2, bite)
- +5 melee (1d8+3/x3, dwarven urgrosh)
- +1 melee (1d6+3/x3, dwarven urgrosh)
- +3 melee (1d6+2, bite)
The masterwork quality of a weapon adds +1 to the attack and not the damage roll. That already clarifies a few of your problems. I'm not the expert on unarmed attacks, though, so there may still be inconsistencies not explained.
I did notice quite a few inconsistencies myself in the statblocks and thus won't vouch for correctness ;-)
The claw base damage might be 1d6-1 so that the total with strength comes up as 1d6+4 with a +5 STR modifier...
A-HA! So I was RIGHT... when... I... thought I might be doing something wrong.
Don't know why I got mentally stuck on the erroneous belief that Masterwork plus Weapon Focus = +1/+1 instead of +2/-. That certainly does clear up quite a bit. Thanks all for that slap upside the head. =o)
