Elementalist Shifter Final Aspect

Rules Questions

I was reading through the shifter and specifically was interested in the Elementalist archetype. However I noticed that nothing replaces or alters the Final Aspect class feature of the base shifter, and there's no 5th element to choose from.
I've been discussing this with a friend on whether this implies whether, as written, the Elementalist shifter would suddenly get an animal aspect at 20th, or of it should be played as it gaining no new aspect, and just activating all 4 minor forms at once. (Not that it matters much, since air and fire don't stack). I don't actually have the book, so it could just be a pfsrd issue, if anyone could clarify. What do you all think? How would you run it? Do we have any dev clarification yet?

Thanks ahead of time for any help.
I've been lurking on these forums for a long time, and this is my first post.

Looking at the PDF, I can verify that the problem exists as you describe.

I would have to interpret RAW as you gain no new aspect, because you don't have access to non-elemental aspects, but can activate all four minor forms together (though as you say that's pointless). As a GM I would definitely give them some other cookie (not sure what), but that's not even RAI, much less RAW.

I don't see it mentioned in the Ultimate Wilderness Potential Errata thread, so you might want to post there to increase the chances of it being dealt with in the next printing.

Final Aspect does less for an Elementalist than it does for a standard Shifter, but it is not completely useless to that archetype.

Since the Elementalist already has all four elemental aspects at 15th level, she has no 5th aspect to gain at 20th level (unless some later book adds one or more elemental aspects).

However, being able to assume all minor aspects at once means that the Elementalist would gain a +6 enhancement bonus to Str, Dex, and Con all at once -- which is an upgrade since up until this point she could only boost two of her stats in addition to taking a hybrid aspect feature for the two corresponding elements.

So Final Aspect for an Elementalist is a bit underwhelming but not totally pointless.

I'll go ahead and mention it in that thread then, thanks

Another question about this should be how it interacts with Omnielementalist and the abilities that gives you from using two minor forms at once....

I'm hoping that Planar Adventures reprints Elemental Body to let you turn into more kinds of elementals (aether would be keen) and thereby creates a 5th aspect for the Elementalist, personally.

Now I just need an Ooze Adventures to figure out how the oozemorph works. :P
