What information do I need to include in the email in order to request that my Pathfinder Roleplaying Game subscription?

We know Starfinder will be as backwards compatible as it can without being a slave to Pathfinder, but what about current Pathfinder classes?

I think it's safe to assume, based on what's been said, that you play an existing class, but will that class have a place in this new setting?

Can we expect to have parties comprised of new classes specific to Starfinder as well as a Pathfinder Ranger? Will there be support for existing classes in Starfinder? Maybe archetypes that mix in the Starfinder flavor with the groundwork Pathfinder has already done for their library of classes.

This ended up being kind of a disjointed series of thoughts, but what do you guys think? What are your opinions how the two games will mix?

Also, if this discussion is already happening in another thread let me know.

I'm just hoping the rules and the setting are separate products lines, like they are now for the rpg and Golarian. I never really got into Golarian, so I'm more interested in this as a rules set.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I don’t really trust myself to create/modify something. I tend to fall in to the “I WANT ALL THE THINGS” mindset and it just ends up broken.

Divine spell lists have very little in the way of rays and offensive touch attacks. I have no idea what you would want with that regard or what ranger features you want.

If i knew, I could fashion an archetype for you.

Other than just a general focus on nature, there’s a lot of stuff I would WANT from the Ranger, but I’ll make a list and let you work in what you can.

Their tracking ability
Woodland Stride
Camouflage
Quarry
Hide in plain site

I think most of these could be covered with the casting of a spell, but I kind of like them as passive abilities. I really don’t know if all of these can be incorporated into an archetype, but I would still like to see what you can come up with.

Thanks

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As the title suggests I’m looking for a hybrid Magus/Ranger.

Basically I want a nature focused magus, access to some features of the ranger, with divine spells, and the ability to use their spellstrike with ranged or melee attacks.

Anybody have any suggestions?
