Appearance
Tegan is a Rostland woman in her late 20s or early 30s with straight, blonde hair and frosty blue eyes. She rarely goes anywhere without her griffon, who wears a matching silver necklace bearing Abador's insignia. The two are neatly decorated in silvery colors. Everything Tegan owns seems to be in proper order and condition. Her fondness for order can sometimes make her seem supercilious or unapproachable.
Personality
forthright, meticulous, competitive
Family Background:
Established over 200 years ago by Tegan's great-grandfather, the Ryker Ranch is one of the more prominent horse breeding names in Rostland. Tegan grew up playing on her family's horse ranch with her two older brothers and was doted on by her mother, who'd always wanted a daughter.
Tegan's father, Gruffudd Ryker, is a very pragmatic man like his father and his father's father. He's a staunch believer in Abadar and tried his best to raise his three children with similar values. Unlike Bethan, who'd wanted to keep Tegan close to home, Gruffudd Ryker encouraged his daughter to take up the mantle of the church as a preacher or priestess.
- Tegan's father, Gruffudd, wanted to be a preacher, but being an only child, was required to take over the family business.
- Tegan's mother, Bethan, is a bubbly and feminine woman who treasures her daughter who looks so similar to herself.
- Tegan's eldest brother, Gerallt, is poised to take over the family ranch. He has a dependable, no-nonsense attitude and seems to excel at anything he does.
- Tegan's second brother, Reece, went missing two months ago after a tussle at a local tavern. Rumor has it he cheated at cards.
- Tegan's paternal grandfather and grandmother still live on the ranch, though they don't do much.
Tegan's Griffon
Tegan was always their mother's favorite and Gerallt was their father's. The two children competed fiercely for their parent's affection, leading Tegan to try her hand at less conventional animal training.
Tegan's Goals & Desires
Tegan wants to become more proficient with magic. She's been blessed by Abadar but wishes those gifts had been more arcane than holy. She's slowly coming to terms with her abilities and limitations.
Tegan wants to distance herself from Reece, who most of her family views as a failure. She isn't prepared to deal with Reece if she runs into him.
