FYI, posts will be coming slow from me for the next four days because of San Diego Comic-Con. I'll try to check in each evening and get caught up, but that's the most I can promise. Sorry if this slows things down (but since one of our BRs is in the same boat, I think I won't be alone).

I acquired no cards this game.

Rogue, I'm interested in your sheet but that link doesn't work.

I'll try sharing it directly.

If anyone is interested, I added another tab to my deck handler for tracking the the season adventure path details (basically all the data on the log sheets they give us), in case anyone wants it to track their own details.

I notice the card type breakdown was showing up in game but during pre-game it has shown up as all zeroes. Is there a chance we could see the location numbers before choosing our starting locations so we can know where to go to get the most spells, or fight the most monsters, etc?

Grand Lodge

Actually, now that I'm looking at the deck, my Item 1s are really not fantastic, alchemically. Probably better off taking the Item B and getting a Potion of Healing in the mix.

I'll warn you right now, though, I want at least three Item 2s. ;)

Update:

1) Damiel: 134484-1012
2) Item B
3) Int +1
4) boon roll: 1d20 ⇒ 6 Still BOOO.

Grand Lodge

I was less concerned about he formatting, and more about bouncing between boards to see what we got and talking about it. I just figured I'd organize it along the way. :)

Grand Lodge

Since this has been bugging me in both threads, I'm copying over the acquired cards and sorting them by deck number, then type:

Acquired Cards:

Anubis Staff (Item 1)
Lottery Urn (Item 1)

Tussah Silk Coat (Armor B)
Potion of Healing (Item B)
Dhabba (Ally B)
Reta Bigbad (Ally P)
Kafar (Ally B)
Stone Weasel (Ally C)
Mumia Smugglers (Ally B)
Tomb Raider (Ally B)

Radovan and Damiel have both expressed interest in the Item 1s, and Hayato in the Armor. Yet to hear from the cleric or occultist.

Grand Lodge

1) Damiel: 134484-1012
2) Item 1 would be great for the Alchemist
3) Int +1
4) boon roll: 1d20 ⇒ 6 BOOO. (I was saying BOOO-OOON).

Grand Lodge

Since we only have three 1s but we have a loot, I propose the following:

Mattvaro - Loot + (card) B
Nok-Nok - Item 1 or Weapon 1
Red Raven - Item 1 or Weapon 1
Razzle - Item 1

ETA:

Acquired Cards

Loot: Sihedron Medallion

Longbow +1 (Weapon 1)
Wand of Shield (Item 1)
Potion of Ruggedness (Item 1)

Quarterstaff (Weapon B)
Sleep (Spell B)
Potion of Energy Resistance (Item B)
Bracers of Protection (Item B)

Grand Lodge

Having looked at my deck now, I would be equally happy with item 1 or weapon 1. I have no interest in the loot.

Grand Lodge

Wow, that's awesome (except for the part where we only have a 10% to get them)!

I haven't looked at my deck, but I think Weapon is the obvious top choice for me.

I'll be taking my Skill Feats in Charisma and Dexterity.

Here's hoping for a guild boon... ACG convention reward chance: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Boo.

(If it's a predestined 10% chance, why aren't we just rolling a d10???)

(How do I do that nifty formatting where I say that I used my shirt reroll and what people can use from my hand, etc?)

There are a bunch of handy formatting instructions at the bottom of the reply box. You have to click the "Show" spoiler button next to the "how to format your text" line. I think the one you are looking for is "ooc" (for "out-of-chracter").

Haha, awesome! That is the most brilliant use of aliases ever, why didn't I think of that! Man, kind of wish I had gone with him as well now...

Hahaha, then we could be FOUR completely different people! ;)

Grand Lodge

Cool, I got the basic alias function to work. Not sure about the extra details, but as a new character I don't have any anyway!

Grand Lodge

Awesome, thanks for setting this up, Bryan! I'm looking forward to adding some RP flare to our ACGing! (And also, just more ACGing!)

I saw some people commenting on game threads and it showed up as their character, i.e. the above example is all "Sajan wrote" rather than "Rhynn Davrie wrote." How does that work? Do we need to change our id or something?

I recently introduced a couple of friends to PACG and they enjoyed it enough to start up a weekly game night for us to play through Rise of the Runelords. They are playing of Amiri (SMASH!) and Seoni (BLAST!), and I am playing Lem to support, heal, and advise as they learn the nuances of the game.

We are all having a great deal of fun, and our Amiri is an artist, so she has started sketching humorous incidents from our games each week. I was going to just post the images here, but it seems the bbs does not support posting images, so I started a tumblr, Amiri & Friends, to host the collected art from our game. If you are interested in checking it out, you can find it here:

Enjoy!

I was excited to find a ranged-based Merisiel in the character deck that gets a big boost using strength-adding bows... right up until I discovered there was only two in the deck, and one of them was a Weapon 6. :( A few more of those would be useful for her, and I'm sure for Imrijka and other range-based characters.

Thanks for the great experience this weekend, everyone! The open was a great challenge, a ton of fun, and I'm now in love with Talitha. (PLAYING Talitha. Playing. Ahem.)

And YES CRIMSON THRONE. Keith, that campaign was one of the first I thought of that would be a great setting for this after I learned they were making new boxes for the ACG. That will be amazing! All hail Blackjack!

I've seen PFS and Starfinder events up on the GenCon event catalog now, but nothing for ACG. Are there not going to be any ACG events this year? That's been basically my whole weekend the past few years, I'd hate to see it go!

I have a similar, but slightly different question:

Is it worth attending for someone who is primarily only interested in playing ACG? I play the RPG, but mostly only in home games and don't have much interest in RPG OP/Society games. But I lerrrrve me some Adventure Card Game. Will there be enough going on in that corner to make it worth coming for all four days? Or at all? Would love feedback from both previous attendees and event scheduling coordinators.

Thanks!

Yes. Yes, it is.

You will have the opportunity to play all weekend in both sanctioned events as well as pick up games. Also, you will have the chance to talk with the fine folks who make the game.I know of at least one person who has gone to Paizo Con and all he plays is the card game.

Another bonus is the chance to play "in development" scenarios or other games before they are released to the general public.

I noticed your lack of interest in OP RPG Pathfinder. Are you aware of the OP for the Adventure Card Game? You may want to give this a try if you decide to attend the con. The OP card game has a very dedicated group of folks who play. I had the chance to get to know a few at GenCon this past summer. Their excitement and love for the game was evident. Give it a try.

Thanks for the advice. We are very aware of the Card Guild, we play weekly. :) We just wanted to make sure there would be enough ACG content and activities to be worth coming. Sounds like it will be fun, thanks!

I'm glad Liz's entry led things off, since Jirelle is CLEARLY the best dressed character in PACG.

BUT. I thoroughly object to there being a discussion about best hats and there being no mention of Imrijka. I mean, come on. LOOK. AT. IT.

Joyous news! https://jenis.com/blog/514-update/

Now I can have my two favorite Origins things: ACG and Jeni's ice cream!

YAAAASSS. Cannot wait for this! I'd assume both from the chatter above and the content of the original seven that each new deck will have a new version of their iconic characters. Whoohoo!

I hope the new Sajan is more weapon-oriented, since the temple sword in the minis set is otherwise a bit of disappointment compared to the usefulness of the other cards packaged with the minis. :S

Looking forward to another great year! So tempted to volunteer, but it would cut into valuable playing time! Decisions, decisions.
