Oh no! And the site has been down.

The giant figure takes the Heart of Hasathorex

"There is power in this heart. To use it is to be corrupted. But by Lissala's grace I can purify that power and pass it to you."

"My energies will go to you. Keep me protected. Wake me only if you must."

"You, Hargran Stonebound, have committed blasphemy and been punished. That punishment pays for your sin. Your soul will stay here with me, and when my task is done I shall carry it to the Afterlife myself."

"Anglon - give to me the Heart of Hasathorex."

She looks at Denat

Denat:

A voice in your head, searching through your memories
"Be not afraid, Denat. You are right to question, but obey. Research is Lissala's sight.

"You are worthy. I name you Runelord, and bestow you this rune." the rune of Conjuration detaches from her body, folds into itself somehow till it is both a rune and a stone, and floats over to Denat, where it circles his head.

She looks at the Master in Grey

Grey:

A voice in your head, searching through your memories
"Be careful, free the mind to learn, but do not free the soul to laziness."

"You are worthy. I name you Runelord, and bestow you this rune." the rune of Necromancy detaches from her body, transforms, and floats over to Grey, where it circles his head.

She looks at Simon

Simon:

A voice in your head, searching through your memories
"You, Simon, will be the Library of Lissala. I grant you permission to learn everything."

"You are worthy. I name you Runelord, and bestow you this rune." the rune of Evocation detaches from her body, transforms and floats to Simon.

She looks at Ronald

Ronald:

An almost amused voice in your head, searching through your memories
"Do you think I am an illusion? Still - there are truths even beyond me."

"You are worthy, though newly come. I name you Runelord, and bestow you this rune." the rune of Illusion detaches from her body, transforms and floats to Ronald.

As each rune detaches Kurshu seems... faded somehow

She looks at Valerianna

Valerianna:

A voice in your head, searching through your memories
"Yes. You understand. The scars are memories, devotions. The pain is fleeting, the understanding is eternal."

"You are worthy. I name you Runelord, and bestow you this rune." the rune of Transformation detaches from her body, transforms and floats to Valerianna.

She looks at Taron
Anger blazes in her eyes
"Unworthy! You parrot religion, but worship another in your heart! Traitor! False-speaker! As you worship your god, let you meet him now!"
The very ground opens beneath Taron, and he falls screaming into a pit that then slams shut.

"Who is worthy, then?"
Among the outer ring people being to scream. Some bleed from their nose, ears or eyes. Kurshu is not gentle in her anger.

"Ah! My old ally. I thought you long lost. This is Fate!"

Whoever she talks to answer silently

"Truly? Fate indeed then. Very well."

"Forsten You are the most worthy to bear this honour. I name you Runelord, and bestow you this rune." the Rune of Abjuration folds into itself and floats past the now empty gap in which Taron had stood, circling the head of Forsten.

She looks at Anglon

Anglon:

A voice in your head, searching through your memories. A greeting.
"Ah, gentle Anglon. I do not know whether you are a poor student of the mistress, or the greatest who lived, but your obedience and faith has never been in question."

"You are worthy. I name you Runelord, and bestow you this rune." the rune of Enchantment detaches from her body, transforms and floats to Simon.

A light so intense it sears every eye, gentle enough to wash away tiredness emanates from the point where Hargran stood.

A creature stands there. The upper body of a beautiful woman, the lower body of a serpent, and three pairs of wings. shining golden scales adorn her skin.

She speaks in Thassilonian, yet all understand her words.

"Summon your goddess? This borders on blasphemy! Yet your endeavor is righteous, your cause just, and you ask for teaching from the goddess of learning."

"You, Hargran Stonebound, will be punished for your blasphemy, aye, but also will your boon be granted."

"You ask for advice, but to triumph you must walk the path of myths and legends. This boon you are granted; that your feet be placed on the start of that path."
