Hello, I played this guy in another game of LoF that died before we finished book one (we were well into the process of retaking Kelamarane). I'd like to play him again, and finish the AP. He's arcane and covers healing a bit too. He'll be going mostly sorcerer in the future though. I'd need to look at the gameplay thread first and make sure I'm cool with your DMing style, but posting multiple times per day is fine with me (racked up ~20,000 posts in PBP over the last two years). But if I like what I see, and you like what you see, I'll rework him to meet the requirements for the game.

Guys, I'm going to withdraw from this game. I've got too much going on to stay invested in something running so slowly. Sorry to pull out, but thanks for the long run DM Stormwind (and others). Hopefully I'll see you guys around the boards in the future.

Being higher gives you +1 for melee, but not range. Once everyone's in position Muqaq will cast Mage Armor and Bless. Then he'll tell Gruthic to make some noise and throw stuff into the building until the snake comes out. Was Gruthic able to determine whether it had 10' or 15' reach when he saw it before?

Well, assuming it's a 5' door, we should be able to get it boxed in with Gruthic, Seif and Akhom. If it's large or huge and you box it in halfway through the door, it will take squeezing penalties (-4 to hit, -4 to AC) making it much easier to deal with. If it has 10' reach, you stand 15' back from the door. If it has 15' reach, stand 20' back. That way it stays in the door. Archers should be able to stand anywhere really. The melees would either full defense, or fight defensively while the archers do the damage. They are just there to keep it in the right spot. It's probably only got 1 or 2 int, so it's not going to be strategizing beyond "mmm...food."

Muqaq looks wary but makes his way slowly into the building. When he sees the harpy, his eyes momentarily go wide before he regains composure. "Good day," he says by way of greeting. "Forgive our intrusion into your dwelling. Are you associated with the gnolls dwelling here?"

"We'll have to slay the beast eventually to retake the town. Want to prepare ourselves and then kill it now? We can use ranged attacks to draw it out, and you and Seif can flank the door attacking it as it emerges, Gruthic." Muqaq says after the dwarven scout makes his report.

Wait, now I'm confused. Did we rest yet or not? We need to rest if we didn't rest yet, in which case wait for that healing because I don't have those spell slots yet. As soon as we're done resting/regaining spells, whenever that is, we should head back.

Muqaq tends to some of the druid and her horse's wounds. Did you include healing from the rest, N'Dateh? Ready to head back to Kelmarane here.

Muqaq tells lady Almah of their battle at the crucifixion hill, and how he suspects that there are few gnolls left in Kelmarane. He continues by telling her of his plan to return as soon as possible and finish clearing out the town. "I feel like we're almost there. After we recover our spells we'll be ready to return and finish the job."

Muqaq nods to his suli brother. "Agreed. I doubt anyone is watching, but better to head for the chapel to Nethys first, then break off and change our path in the pesh fields. We should have enough cover in the cacti to change directions without being seen."

"My healing energies are nearly spent. We have deprived the gnolls of more of their forces without losing any of our own. I think our plan was a success besides Akhom showing up extremely late. It's probably best to get this man back to the monastery, rest to regain our spells and then come back here to finish off the gnolls as quickly as possible. It seems impossible that there could be more of them left than what we've already killed." Would Serera benefit from further HP healing, or is all his damage Con damage now?

Meh. I guess leave him for now then. Muqaq doesn't know how to build a ladder, isn't remotely strong enough to hold him up, and I don't really care that much about guy we don't know. Muqaq seeing no way to get the man down without killing him shrugs in helplessness and waits to see if anyone else can do it.

"The loot can wait until we get this cross down. I'm not strong enough to lower it by myself, can the rest of you please help me?" Once the cross is laid flat on the ground, Muqaq will go about untying the man, and removing the nails. If he's conscious, Muqaq will encourage him, "Hold still. We'll have you free in a moment. Who are you? How is it you came to be here?"

After seeing that no one on his team is mortally wounded, Muqaq rushes over to the crucified man. If he is still alive, Muqaq will try to get him down and heal him, in whichever order seems to make more sense. "Seif, aid me please," he calls to the stronger man. Is it the priest of Nethys?
