History:
A prominent member of the Swampscale tribe of kobolds, this relatively small collection of kobolds had developed more natural to deal with the undead threats the poor things constantly face. Powered by a worship of Pharasma, the Swampscales have learned to seek out the natural world's aid when dealing with unnatural threats, developing an art of life and anti-undead they dubbed "Juju."

Meenak showed proficiency with this art unlike any of his clutch mates... to a point even the Swampscales found it a tad creepy. Earning himself the title "Meenak the Weird", Meenak's relentless pursuit of ways to combat the undead rewarded him with a variety of odd powers, from an affinity to speak with rodents, to learning to hold undead beings at bay with mere clawfuls of salt. Meenak had even inadvertently learned a new way to exorcise a spirit from it's restless body, gaining a very irritating, but very handy familiar that he dubbed Kibbi (sadly, Meenak has been unable to reproduce this process as he failed to take proper notes when conducting the ritual, flying completely by the seat of his tail on it. He truthfully hadn't expected it to work at all).

But as Meenak's studies continued, he found that the Juju arts were poorly documented... and there was still more to be learned. He needed help from someone more knowledgeable then himself, perhaps in areas he had not considered yet.

Enter Professor Lorrimor.

Meenak happened upon the professor as he was looking for a safe way to cross through the swamp his tribe called home. Agreeing to guide the elderly scholar in exchange for magically charged "shinies", Meenak and Professor Lorrimor started to discuss topics dealing with the undead, and he expressed an interest in the human's studies into the undead. Likewise, the professor displayed a keen fascination with the art of Juju that Meenak practiced. After guiding him safely through the swamp, Meenak was offered the chance to come with the professor and study in a proper university with him. Leaping at the chance, he agreed, and traveled with the professor to a somewhat small, but still respectable university. Pulling a few strings, Professor Lorrimor managed to broker a deal with the school to grant Meenak access to their resources from time to time. Thrilled at his new surroundings, Meenak quickly mined out a home for himself beneath the school and frequented the library almost constantly.

While happily learning to organize his Juju arts to a more refined state, Meenak was elated whenever the professor would return to the school and spend time personally educating the kobold himself. Meenak learned to expand his study of the undead into more arcane arts, while he in turn demonstrated and taught the old scholar about his Juju practices.

But after a while, the professor stopped coming. Meenak didn't notice at first, but after a while, he began to wonder if he'd done something to perturb the scholar on his last visit. Or was it Kibbi's prattling that got on his nerves? Finally, however, he got an answer in the form of a letter, stating that the professor had perished and requested that Meenak attend his funeral and the reading of his will. Having no clue what a will was or even a funeral, Meenak just knew that the professor was gone, never to teach him again. He felt angry, unsure why, but feeling as if someone- or something -had taken the professor from him before due time. Packing up his meager possessions, Meenak has set out for Ravengro, the professor's town, in hopes of finding out who took the old man from him... and make them pay.
