![]() About Fidelity TannerOrigin Fact: Expatriate Child of Ancalia
Profession Fact: Living Sacrifice of an Antipriest
Relationship Fact: Followers of Exile
Background: Fidelity was born to servants of the knighthood; expert leatherworkers in their own rights, and quite capable. When the Night Roads tore open the very fabric that held Ancalia together, they were evacuated to relative safety. Driven further and further through the countryside, the family eventually settled on the edge of the Atheocracy. They lived a humble life... though, even with their capacity to do good through their crafts, they still were not protected when the local Antipriest decided that new stock would be helpful to his grand experiments. In the end, her parents were pushed too far before her powers awakened, leaving Fidelity alone in the world. She took out her vengeance upon the antipriest and his home, freeing all that were inside, and bidding them flee, before releasing his beasts onto the antipriest. She watched as the horrors he had callously visited upon others were visited upon him. She made herself to do so. And then she left the monsters locked inside of his estate, leading the people she had freed to safety, as best she was able. Since the event, a scant six months ago, she has done everything in her power to save everyone she can from the infernal machinations of the Atheocracy and its twisted 'True Reason'. She can't change the populace's mind in mere moments, though, leaving her legend to slowly spread, to hopefully open the hearts and minds of the land. As a goddess of true freedom, her purviews include seeing things as they are, understanding your feelings, following your own path, and letting no obstacle stop you in your forward movement. 1st Word - Journeying
Fidelity always knows the way. She and those who follow her need not rest or seek sustenance, for the Journey is enough. She can never be truly lost. A Journey is how Fidelity's story truly began. Fitting, then, that she will always know the way forward. 2nd Word - Sun
Fidelity's heat burns away that which would conceal to highlight the heart of things. She may never have her vision stolen, and is immune to flame. While she shines, her offensive and defensive prowess are bolstered significantly. The truth was what the Antipriest sought, and the truth is what she showed him. When necessary, her brilliance allows her to become a literal avatar of hope. 3rd Word - Thieves
Fidelity may not be seen by lesser foes so long as she uses a modicum of discretion, and no lock, magical or otherwise may stand in her way with a modicum of effort. Walls cannot keep her out, and even worthy foes take no notice of her unless she draws their attention. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor, and the absence of her light does not mean she is not near. Nothing can sway Fidelity from her path for long and none can be certain she isn't already there. 4th Word - Music
Her ascension brought with it a vivacity unmatched amongst most of the mortal world. While she is incapable of easily influencing the mood of others just now, she may still sway the songs of head and heart. Short Term Goal/Intermediate Goal: We're Breaking into Heaven.
Motivation:
Weaknesses:
She has no patience for those who would cage the passions of another, or worse, use them to guide them towards self-destruction. She is likely to act first, and think later when it comes to the question of how best to deal with oppressors. Description:
Fidelity has dark black shoulder-length hair that frames her face and gives her a more angular look. Under normal circumstances, she’s unassuming and could easily blend into the background. She wears simple, mismatched dark-colored leathers which carry the clear connotation that she prefers to blend in with her surroundings. In truth, the leather armor is the final remnants of the last leatherworking her mother and father ever did. Each piece is taken from a different beast with different goals in mind; the gloves have better grip thanks to the hide of one beast, while the shoes are supple thanks to the hide of another. As she has grown, she’s had to make minor modifications to it, resulting in her own personal touch. When she assumes her brilliance, this becomes all the more clear, each hue in the armor becoming more heavily saturated, giving her armor the appearance of stained glass, even her hair taking on a fiery appearance. She carries with her perhaps a dozen knives - light enough to move easily, easy to conceal on her person, but perhaps most importantly, something that any commoner could use, if she were to pass it off to them. Her face bears a pair of scars that hold the appearance of exaggerated dimples, and her arms and sides bear similar marks. While the damage healed well, they still frame her appearance in such a way to leave her not looking inherently delicate, despite her beauty. From her neck hangs a tetrahedron, etched with symbols not of this world - a trophy taken from the antipriest that took everything from her. Its exact purpose is something she couldn’t guess at, though someday, someone may have an answer. |
