I assume it'll be most like Spelljammer.

Totally excited about this! I've been playing a Castrovel Elf in PFS for years. Totes legal after Sovyrian Intellectual was introduced FWIW—though I started playing him before that but whatever. As the resident and unasked for interplanetary Pathfinder expert at most PFS tables I join, I can't wait to put some of that knowledge to use in a full game!

Circling back to this thread from a couple of years ago. There's a much easier and more airtightly legal way to play an Elf from Castrovel since the release of Pathfinder Player Companion: People of the Stars a while back. The trait "Sovyrian Intellectual" is legal for Society play according to the Additional Resources page.

"Having grown up in one of the intellectual centers of Castrovel, you speak precisely and persuasively, especially among elves. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks. This bonus increases to +3 against creatures with the elf subtype."

Right there in black and white "Having grown up in one of the intellectual centers of Castrovel..." Makes the whole thing much more straightforward.

Congratulations!

There's a big "stargate" right there in El that links straight to Golarion, so the physical part of travel wouldn't be that rough. But, yeah, the political aspects would have to be thought through a tad. Not hard to do though. You're concept of an exchange program actually sounds very workable.

Why wouldn't I know anything about Castrovel? I've read the Distant Worlds supplement enough :)

Thanks for the feedback. Yep, elves definitely exist on Castrovel, and El is their capitol city there.

So far, no major objections seems promising!

Looked around but can't find any official word on this. Obviously a Lashunta is off the table, but is it legal to play a regular old elf in PFS who happens to be from Castrovel? It wouldn't change the stats of the elf at all--just something fun for flavor.

First para of the Inquisitor section in the APG: "Although inquisitors are dedicated to a deity"

Yeah, but there's still that "an Inquisitor can be devoted to an ideal instead of a deity" in the APG, too.

I wouldn't try to push it with a cleric. But I don't really see a valid reason that a PFS Inquisitor can't take advantage of this. Should be spelled out in the PFS Guide if not allowed (or at least the Additional Resources page on the site under society play).

I'll probably drop the idea all together if it meets too much opposition. Even friendly gods would piss this guy off to work for/under. He would never fall for the Death's Hertic type of scenario either.

I can see that working as an Inquisitor of Norgorber.

Not for this guy. He's rough around the edges, but very much a good guy. He wouldn't serve an evil deity. He wouldn't serve anyone's the point, and definitely not a bad guy.

Can't find anywhere that says an Inquisitor can't just pick the Liberation domain sans a deity for PFS. So I'm thinking it's OK, but hoping maybe somebody can point me to a more definitive answer.

What about Inquisitors in PFS. I've got an Andoran Freedom Fighter I'm thinking about multi-classing into an Inquisitor. He's gone 6 levels not really liking gods because they're oppressive powermongers. He'd make a great Inquisitor of Freedom, but wouldn't serve a god.

I'm trying to sort through this and haven't seen it specifically mentioned how Vital Strike and the secondary attack granted with a BaB of +6 interact. Is the secondary attack granted by a +6 BaB when using a full-attack action still applicable after dealing a Vital Strike? So far, the opinions I've run into say yes, but I'm not so sure.
