@Kileanna - Looks good! It's always so hard to get back into drawing when you stop for a while. I dig how much detail you put into the outfits!

Thanks for the support! I'm glad you've enjoyed them. A bit busy this weekend, but I'll try to have another done the next time I'm free!

@Oli Ironbar - would it be possible to get a bit more thorough of a definition? Skin colour, hair colour/length? It'd help a ton! c:

1. Kileanna - [Done]
2. Thalia - [Done]
3. Anne Nonymous / Gnome Anne - [Waiting on details]
4. Lohn Slaf - [Done]
5. Tessara - [Incomplete]

These are all the requests I'm taking for now, but when I finish them up I may open more slots, if people are interested!

Dungeon Painter is a pretty good mapper I use when I need to make maps. While it doesn't have everything, it's both free and online, so you don't need to download anything to test it out. I usually complete the maps as thoroughly as I can on Dungeon Painter, then save the file and do any finishing touches myself.

They also have Dungeon Painter Studio, which looks interesting, though I haven't tried it out.

Last update of the day! My art style has no consistency whoops

1. Kileanna [ Done - posted above]
2. Thalia - [Complete]
3. Anne Nonymous / Gnome Anne [Next!]
4. Lohn Slaf

All right! Sorry for the delay over here. I've been playing around with colouring between classes, and it's been messing me up a bit, but I figure I'll post what I have done here so far!

1. Kileanna - Lineart + Coloured [Not fond of the coloured, might redo it in a bit]
2. Thalia Velerin [In Progress]

Loads of good art here, so I'll post a few of the images I've drawn of my characters more recently!

My vishkanya gunslinger/bard Kaoufen here and here!

And my shulsaga bard (soon to be reworked into a rogue) Adair here because it's the next most completed image I have on me.

Trying to find images for this post has alerted me that I organize my art terribly. There's some more varied doodles of my other characters here!

Tablet's been broken for a while, but I recently got a new app on my phone that's recent for drawing, so I'm working on getting back into it! If anyone's interested, I'd like to draw some of your PCs.

Here are some examples of my art.

I'll take 5 requests for now! I can't guarantee they'll be super detailed or quickly drawn given I'm getting into midterms and drawing on a phone, but who knows? I'll be posting them on on my tumblr unless people would specifically prefer I not.

If you'd like to make a request, I'd like to know your character's name, a visual description of them and a brief personality description. Thanks!

I can see how PvP could be an issue, but we fortunately haven't had any issues with it so far. All of the PCs and NPCs start out with a common goal - they're in Barrowood, split into smaller teams to deal with an undead problem, so they have incentive to at least try teamwork. Personality conflicts have been inevitable, but there hasn't been any bloodshed between PCs yet. Eventually they'll be friends. Hopefully. It's probably also important to mention that the goal is to eventually learn who all the PCs are and most of what they do, so anonymity doesn't need to keep up forever.

Another good way to avoid conflict in a scenario like this, if your PCs are willing, is to set down some basic guidelines in character creation that will make it easier for these unknown PCs to get along - make a PC who will work with others, give everyone an approximate common goal, giving alignment suggestions, etc. Most things can be worked if you have PCs that are willing to develop from a group of strangers to a well-working party. For this I think it's best to know your PCs, if they'd enjoy making it work, and how much PC-PC conflict they're likely to have. Some conflict can be fun. A dead PC at the very beginning, not so much.

For your Battle Royale type game, if you're not set on doing it on tabletop, have you considered trying Roll20 for it? If you'd like each PC to be anonymous, you have options to type as the character, not the player, and each player can control multiple tokens. No voice chat or you lose that surprise, but I can't see how to avoid that.

I looked around but couldn't find any threads on this, so here's a post on a pretty fun campaign style I've been playing, and a suggestion if you've been looking for something new to spice up a campaign!

The group I play with enjoys playing around with the rules and whatnot, and a while ago we started a new custom campaign called Stranger Danger. The general concept is that all of the PCs make their characters in secret, only discussing them with the GM. We all created characters at level 10, and the GM placed us in a room with ~20 NPCs. Since we're playing this campaign over a forum, for several weeks we were even working through figuring out who the other PCs were among the NPCs. It's been a really fun session so far, and level 10 gives opportunities to make some pretty fun builds to leave other PCs questioning - My gun-juggling bard has had a pretty good time. Our campaign has been going really slowly due to some players, so I've had to spend literal months guessing at just the race of another PC (once we worked out NPCs vs PCs), but it's all a part of the fun.

The main downsides to this type of campaign is that it's extremely GM intensive (especially at the beginning of ours, where the GM had to consolidate everything into posts so we wouldn't know who was controlling which character), and it'd be pretty difficult to manage off a forum. That and you'll have no team balance because no one will know what anyone else is making - you could very well end up with a party of 5 summoners. I can see how it wouldn't be for everyone.

Thoughts? Anyone played through a campaign similar to this?

In the latest group of characters my group has been working on, we decided to go with a theme of instectoid characters. I looked around for a race that would suit my fancy for a moth PC, but I couldn't find one set up quite to my liking, so I set up a homebrew race that would be a bit closer to the 28 RP Trox one of the other PCs will be playing. I hope this is the right forum for this

We don't tend to set up our characters to pathfinder meta, so this'll likely be quite unbalanced, but I figure it might help someone else as a baseline to adjust if they're looking to make something similar!
Here's the list of other moth/mothlike races I used ideas from/looked at while making this: Entobian, Mothkin, and Mothfolk.

Lepidi (25 RP):

Description: Lepidi are a race of roughly humanoid creatures with the distinct features of either butterflies or moths. They have four arms and large eyes, and can come in a wide variety of colours and wing patterns. Here's an example of the character I'll be using, Ilon, themed like a luna moth. Except they'll be wearing armour, of course.

Standard Racial Traits

  • Ability Score Racial Traits: +2 int, +4 wis, +2 cha, -2 con (4 RP)
  • Type: Lepidi are fey. (2 RP)
  • Size: Lepidi are Small creatures and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a –1 penalty to their CMB and CMD, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks. (0 RP)
  • Base Speed: Lepidi have a base speed of 30 feet on land. They also have a fly speed of 50 feet (average), though they are unable to fly in rain or when their wings are otherwise wet. (8 RP)
  • Languages: Lepidi begin play speaking Common and Sylvan. Lepidi with high intelligence scores can choose from the following: Auran, Gnome, Halfling, Elven, Dwarven, Celestial, and Undercommon. (0 RP)

Senses Racial Traits

  • Darkvision: Lepidi have darkvision up to 60 feet. (+1 RP to Fey)
  • Celestial Navigation: So long as they are outside and under direct moonlight, Lepidi can use the moon to Discern Direction, as the spell. Normal or brighter light within 30 feet prevents this trait from working. (1 RP)

Magic Racial Traits

  • Spell-Like Ability: Lepidi gain the use of glitterdust 1/day, with caster level equal to their character level (2 RP)

Weakness Racial Traits

  • Light Blindness: Abrupt exposure to bright light blinds Lepidi for 1 round; on subsequent rounds, they are dazzled as long as they remain in the affected area. (-2 RP)

Other Racial Traits

  • Multi-Armed: Lepidi have four arms. Though they can wield multiple weapons, only one hand is considered their primary hand. (8 RP)
  • Proboscis: Most Lepidi have developed proboscis instead of mouths. As a result, they cannot speak verbally, and drinking potions/etc. takes one step longer than average. (-2 RP)
  • Limited Telepathy: While lacking a mouth, Lepidi can mentally communicate with any creature within 30 feet with whom they share a language. Otherwise this ability is identical to the telepathy ability. (3 RP)
  • Lunar Synthesis: As Lepidi lack mouths, they have evolved to gain nutrients through other means. Adult Lepidi need not eat to gain sustenance (though they do still need water like any other creature). Instead, they collect moonlight with their wings and conduct photosynthesis. Each day, they must spend 4 hours with their wings exposed to the moon or equivalent light (such as from a daylight spell) to be properly fed. A Lepidi can go without moonlight for 2 days without feeding, after which it suffers from starvation as per the normal rules.

Alternate Racial Traits

  • Proboscal Loss: This particular offshoot of Lepidi have evolved out of their proboscis, and instead have regular mouths, allowing speech. Because of this, their telepathy has fallen into disuse. This racial trait replaces proboscis and limited telepathy.

There are some difficulties that could easily arise from being unable to speak (such as inability to perform verbal components) and needing moonlight, but overall I'm hoping it'll offer some interesting RP opportunities. I'm open to any suggestions for it! Particularly given I don't have the background culture of the race fleshed out at all yet.
