I recently received my first pathfinder! Hurrah!

But, to my surprise, the next day I received my second copy of the first magazine.

If anyone knows a way to remedy this, because I think it may have used up one of my pre-paid ones to send it.

Open Gaming License, allows certain things from D&D to be published for free, as seen on the SRD (www.d20srd.org).

I think psionics are fun to play. They add a good mix to the game.

I once let my sister DM because my Dad made me. This soon resulted in numerous artifact stores (don't blame me I wasn't there), unlimited wishes at third level, and once there was a town with like five powerful magic item/artifact shops that always had everything in stock and half-price everything; once they got there she let them use an unlimited Time Stop spell (again, still third level) and take everything this town ghad to offer and then go on to raid the rest of the Earth while still under the single timestop spell.

If you have experienced the pain and permanent mental trauma from coming home to this, then you can complain, but not until then.

P.S. It's okay to feel sorry for me. : (

I'm not sure if this would work but it might be fun to put a Flesh to Stone spell on it. Of course, then you would have to go to the expense of buying a chisel...

Or if you don't like that I think a Disintegrate spell would have some pretty cool effects.

Whats a froghemoth, a big frog?! Seems like a stupid idea to me.

P.S. If this isn't 3.5E then I wouldn't know about it, thats all I've ever played.

No Elves! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO : ) (jk) I wouldn't care much anyway, I prefer gnomes; special abilities, bonuses, and thier short. Whats not to like!

Though I do think the no evil Pcs thing was a good idea. Not as much backstabbing and greediness going on there!

1) Linnorms, like big scary felldrakes

2) Myconids (usually as guides or helpers), you gotta love the mushroom men!

3)Trygodolytes, as said before, great for low-level dungeons

4) Ethereal Slayers, I like the ambush attack idea

5) All the kinds of worms (frost worms, purple worms, etc.) great for an end of game boss for lower levels

I am currently making my own campaign based on one of the books adventure ideas(either DMs Guide or the Epic Level Handbook). Its about how some miners find out that the earth is hollow with only a thin layer of the mantle after the crust. The adventurers are summoned by the king to explore this new region and to bring along his personal cartographer to map this newly discovered are. The only place deep enough to get there however is through the Underdark, so the first part of the dungeon has a lot to do with sneaking past and killing drows to get to the spot where they can get through. Once inside however, they dicover a long excistent race much like the Abeil on page 22 of the Monster Manual 2. These creatures live in huge spherical hives connected by long caverns and passageways. Other creatures found in this region include cave spiders (huge), a species evolved from a long forgotten drow colony who are a much stupider but stronger cannibalistic race. These bee-people have stores, inns, etc. They are suspicious of the PCs at first but then learn to trust them. After staying at a hive long enough they hear rumors of a mythical place at the center of the world. This is called the Tree of Life and on it groes a seed for every aspect of life (Madness, War, Love, etc.) and each golden leaf is a portal to some and every place in all of the planes. at the center of the tree grows a small flower which once every year drops a single drop of power that can give them the power of the Gods. What the PCs don't know is that the tree needs this drop every year to sustain itself to preserve all life in the universe and if one the PCs takes this drop the universe will lose a life for every second he has this power. Once a PC has taken it the Gods will wreak havok on him/her until he/she no longer has that power. The PC has the power of a Greater God (20) and can attack back if wishful. Each of the branches on the tree can not be broken, even the smallest twig. The Pcs can take the seeds and plant them to grow more, there are also seeds to every plant in the world.

Well, its not finished but I like it so far. You can use some of these concepts in your own campaign if you'd like to.

ok........... that was wierd.

My friend is a pet fiend he goes out of his way to search for field mice or squirrels, it is pretty funny. Onr time I had him find a squirrel and he put it in his pouch; it turned out to be a rabid squirrel and his level 1 character died. He didn't even have any ranks in handle animal and he always scares the animals away because hes a half-orc barbarian.

I think he may have a really bad case of nostalgia. I'm not sure if any of you guys have heard about this site but it is a really good online comic and is one my favorites. Awesome artwork!
www.seraph-inn.com

also another one you probaly do know about is
www.giantitp.com

Wow thats a lot of books. As a 13 year old kid (back on topic now) I think the pricing is way out of hand. It takes me about 1-3 months to get just one book. Luckily my step-dad used to play and he was too poor to get any books or pieces so now that he can buy them it has increased my library by like 400%.

Mine is my most recent characters first name, a gnome druid, hes a gnome cause gnomes are awesome and I want to be one but also so I could ride my animal companion. In case you were wondering my animal compaion is Arlon, a wolf who has somehow managed to singlehandedly bring down a 5th level dire bear at 1st level.

Archons are more like protecters in a sense and less like angels. I think of them more as emissaries of the light and defenders of all that is good and blah, blah, blah...

well, by the way see reference to them on Order of the Stick online comic #194 at www.giantitp.com

I want to know how you quote people on this site because on other sites there is a button next to their name but on this site it doesn't??????

My group adopted Meepo.... how weird is that.
---------------------------------------
My group also did in a way. They allowed him to be their guide but then they found out he had a ruby ring (I changed the module to make it more interesting) that he had stolen from the party that had came before. They chopped off his head, stole his stuff, then used him as a human (kobold, sorry) shield and a test dummy for traps before he was eaten by a dire rat after the PCs left him behind when fleeing. I know, I know, a pretty barbaric pack (I think there actually might have been a barbarian in the group, but whatever) but you can't get mad at them for improvising! :P

I don't have much experience making traps but I do have a lot of experience in breaking rules. I find that when a D&D rule is just to stupid to believe, I just change it(providing the fact that I'm DM at the moment of course).

My personal favorite prestige class is the tattooed monk. I like this class because it gives you all of the monk special abilities and bonuses, plus you get lots of cool powers to use as backup such as breathing fire and rerolling d20s. Very cool prestige class and I would recommend it to any monk or maybe a fighter character(if you want a challenge). One of my characters was a tattooed monk/soulknife which I managed to get to epic level (level 23 I think) after some very hard work. This class is definitely the greatest and when you get to higher levels it gets even better! :) You can find the stats for this class in the Complete Warrior or the Oriental Adventures campaign setting or maybe online.

Thanks for the help I greatly appreciate it. Though doesn't it seem like Dexterity should be added to a melee attack roll because that would dtermine how vital the area would be, and Strength to a damage roll because that would determine how hard the enemy is hit. Oh well, I don't make the rules, I just follow them (unless I'm DM at the time).

I would like to suggest Uncanny X-Men and if you alreay are in to that I suggest getting the Essential X-Men books. These books are a collection of the first X-Men comics and are better than you would think.

I need help figuring out what modifiers you add to an attack roll other than the base attack bonus. Me and my friend had an arguement on whether Dexterity or Strength is added to attack rolls or damage rolls and vice versa. Please help I really want to prove him wrong.

And by the way I like your avatar TPKer101. Its almost like I didn't have the same one! :)

In the PHB it states that if a paladin ceases to be lawful good they cannot gain any more paladin levels but still do retain all special abilities but can gain levels if they atone for their wrong deeds through the used of an Atonement spell as described in the PHB pg. 201 in the Atonement spell description.

Another way you might be able to do it is if you used a powerful polymorph spell and make an exception to make him able to use a Permanency on it to make him permanently a dragon. The only problem with this is that someone might be able to use a Dispel Magic spell or a Break Enchantment spell. Or if you are meaner you could have this be a weakness for giving him the exception on the Permanency spell.

Well, hope I could be of help.

P.S. This might be an easier way of becomig a silver dragon than the others listed above and wouldn't make the PC have to make a new character :)

I started playing D&D about 1 1/2 years ago and am a veteran of many dungeons and I would just like to say that you should probaly try to get some other supplement books (like the other Monster Manuals or the Complete Warrior). They are really cool and can also make your game more interesting. Another thing you should consider would be to buy (if you have enough money) some books from different campaign settings because they can really give you some good ideas.
