SPECIAL ABILITIES
--------------------
Rebuke Death (Sp) (6/Day): You can touch a living creature as a standard action, healing it for 1d4 points of damage plus 1 for every two cleric levels you possess. You can only use this ability on a creature that is below 0 hit points. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Breadth of Knowledge
At 1st level, a cloistered cleric gains a bonus on Knowledge skill checks equal to half her class level (minimum +1) and can make Knowledge skill checks untrained.

Combat Medic (Ex)
A merciful healer does not provoke attacks of opportunity when using the Heal skill to stabilize another creature or casting healing spells.

Channel Energy (Su) (9/Day):

Regardless of alignment, any cleric can release a wave of energy by channeling the power of her faith through her holy (or unholy) symbol. This energy can be used to cause or heal damage, depending on the type of energy channeled and the creatures targeted.
A good cleric (or a neutral cleric who worships a good deity) channels positive energy and can choose to deal damage to undead creatures or to heal living creatures. An evil cleric (or a neutral cleric who worships an evil deity) channels negative energy and can choose to deal damage to living creatures or to heal undead creatures. A neutral cleric of a neutral deity (or one who is not devoted to a particular deity) must choose whether she channels positive or negative energy. Once this choice is made, it cannot be reversed. This decision also determines whether the cleric can cast spontaneous cure or inflict spells (see spontaneous casting).
Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures of one type (either undead or living) in a 30-foot radius centered on the cleric. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two cleric levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric's level + the cleric's Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channel energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. A cleric may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A cleric can choose whether or not to include herself in this effect.
A cleric must be able to present her holy symbol to use this ability.

A merciful healer must channel positive energy, and when she does, she cannot choose to target undead. This ability is otherwise identical to the cleric ability of the same name.

Appearance:
Bella is a beautiful woman. She's tall and thin, standing just under six feet tall. Her raven black curly hair tumbles down just past her shoulders. Her large large almond eyes are the color of caramel. Her hands and wrists are tattooed with intricate designs of a Vudrani healer, and the necklace she's wearing ends in a wooden medallion with the open hand symbol of Irori carved on it. Her clothing is mixture of Vudrani and Varisian styles, but it is of high quality and fashionable for either place. She wears a good deal of gold jewelry as well.

Personality:
Bella treats others as she would like to be treated. Namely with kindness, respect and compassion. She tries her best not to insult anyone, and to respect their needs. While she is kind, she's no pushover. She won't allow her own needs to be ignored, and does everything short of acting violent to ensure her interests are seen to. While pacifistic, she is not against self-defense. She's extremely curious about the world, and tries to learn everything she can. She's especially passionate about medicine and the natural sciences.

Background:

Bella's father Arvinder Singh was a Vudrani priest and healer. He was a devotee of Irori, who believed the path to perfection lie with understanding the workings of the human body. While he worked towards this goal, he traveled Golarion healing those in need and only taking food and lodging as payment. Eventually his travels took him across Casmaroon to the Inner Sea region, and he caught a ship to the great city of Absolom.

Shortly after arriving he met a beautiful Varisian wanderer and Pathfinder named Eorica. They shared stories of their travels and she even convinced him to go on a short adventure with her. Soon enough they were in love, and Eorica became with child. She retired from the Pathfinder Society and married Arvinder. Eight months later Bella arrived. She quickly grew into a gentle and inquisitive child. She had inherited her mother's charm, and her father's wisdom with a wit to match both. As soon as she was old enough she took up working for her father in his clinic. He taught her the ways of Irori and of the human body. At night she would listen to tales of her mother's adventures and her homeland, Varisia. By the time she was a teenager Bella knew she wanted to follow both her parent's paths. She would become a great healer in the service of the Pathfinder Society. She spent years training and studying until she was finally impressive enough to pass the entrance exam at the Great Lodge.

She had completed a few small missions and distinguished herself as a nonviolent problem solver when there was a request made for an agent to work in Magnimar, in Varisia. Bella jumped at the opportunity to see the land her mother had told her stories of all her life. She took the assignment and boarded the next ship out. She's recently arrived in the city and reported to Venture Captain Sheila Heidmarch at her manor to receive further orders. Sheila didn't have need of a cleric at the time, but directed her to the weekly gatherings at the Rag and Garter restaurant. Bella has made a couple appearances there and gotten to know the other local pathfinders. She enjoys the story telling, and often contributes with tales from Vudra that her father told her in youth.
