Aluxion Clairfeld grew up on the Rostland Plains as the third son of a family of farmers. Unlike most adventurers, his family is both functional and still alive. In fact, there is very little that one would find spectacular or very unusual about his early upbringing. He learned to hunt early on from his father, who also instilled in young Aluxion a reverence for nature; His mother provided him with an upbringing that prepared him to take care of both himself and others. The local priest of Erastil taught Aluxion that both of these virtues are core tenants of how to go to heaven when you die. The boy didn't care much for religion or gaining a god's favor at the time, but continued helping others because it was the right thing to do anyways.
One year when there was a famine, the Clairfeld family was having trouble making ends meet. Aluxion, a teenager at the time, still found time between chores around the farm to go hunting. One particular autumn day, he found himself coming across a forest glade he had never seen before. The largest elk he had ever seen stood in the center of the glade. It met his eyes as he drew his bow, his fingers trembling, but it didn't bolt. His arrows flew straight and true, piercing the elk through the eye.
As the elk collapsed, the boy heard footsteps behind him. "Aluxion," the old priest from town said, surveying the scene, "Old Deadeye has sent you a gift. With it, your family will be provided for this winter. Now I give you an invitation. You see the blessing of Erastil's favor here. If you were to serve him as one of his own, you could help so many more people."
After much thought and discussion, Aluxion decided to take the priest up on his offer. He spent time under his tutelage and was trained as a cleric of Erastil. The call for champions of Brevoy came just as he completed his training, and he felt it was another sign. This is the chance for him to help guide and protect an entire nation on the frontier, after all.
Personality and Appearance:
Aluxion is generally easy going. He laughs easily, and is hard to anger. He tries to see the best in everyone. Sometimes people take advantage of his good nature, as he is always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He is against casual violence, but isn't good at negotiation, so he has trouble settling arguments without outside help.
He prides himself on his self-reliance and has trouble accepting help from others in tasks that he feels he could accomplish himself.
He is of Taldan descent, stands at 6'0", and weighs 185 lb. He has shoulder length straight brown hair. He keeps himself surprisingly clean for someone who spends so much time romping around dirt and mud. He wears a leather tunic and breeches covered in a deerskin cloak. Most of the leather that he wears comes from his own past kills.
