Alestia Calis is an Astrophysicist working for the council trying to further understand the principals used by mas relays in an attempt to figure out how to create new relays and hopefully create smaller portable versions for individual ships. She came to [insert planet here] to confer with a fellow researcher who thought he had found a solution. It turned out to just be a false positive, but Alestia stayed because her work was largely unaffected by her location, as it was almost entirely theoretical. And the change of scenery didn't hurt either.

Personality wise Alestia is outgoing and not quite introverted nor extraverted, being content alone in her study and in the chaos of the citadels nightclubs, but after too long of one requires the other. Alestia is physically weak due to a lack of exercise and poor deity recently, as she pushes to make a brackthrough that could possibly help the fight against the reapers. On the topc of her research, it's going poorly, she has found nothing, at all, and it's taking it's toll on her psyche, despite this she is still very wise for her age and understands that soon she'll need to reverse hibernate to regain her energy.
