They in the main book or the DS book?

Just some general info on the world as a whole at this point of where we are starting.
The whole Prism Pentad story didn't happen yet (and may not even happen in this game). All the cities in the region are still ruled by Sorcerer King (even Kallak is still in Tyr).
Your all starting as slaves being shipped from Urik to someplace south. You do not know your destination but your tied up inside a slave wagon and you PC's are the only slaves aboard. The slavers transporting you consist of 7 humans total one of which appears to a pretty power Psionist.
Once we are all ready I'll make an offical post on the game thread and then you guys can start post.
For your character icons please put your static defenses under your characters name so it's easy to see what the TN's are for combat purposes.
Thanks!

I think once we start posting in Gameplay it will auto add you?
Yep it will.

Changing the multiple action penalty rule a bit to make it easier.
First action will be full dice, 2nd action -1D, 3rd action -2D and so on. You still have to do all your action on your init. This will make spellcasting a bit easier if you want to cast and throw in same round or if you need to channel.
Crimson Sun |
We can try it out and see if it's to powerful or not. I was thinking more for spell casters cuz if you cast a spell most you have to throw on same round so cast and throwing skills required. If you fail the spell cast roll because your at -1D from multiple actions you basically wasted -1D on a roll which could of potentially made it.
I saw some others house ruled it this way and worked well with their games so wanted to give it a shot. You still have to declare your actions on your init and still gets harder the more actions you take.
Crimson Sun |
Ok perhaps it will be a bit silly. Maybe for JUST the spellcasting that requires throwing skill like fireballs/lightingbolts etc... we can modify it a bit.
Standard MAP:
Each action you preform beyond the first decreases your "Dice pool" provided by your skill by -1D
If you have 5d In a skill and do a total of 3 action.. EACH action you preform in that round suffers the penalty for having done 3 actions.. (-2D)
1 action - No penalty..
2 Actions - Penalty of -1D
3 Actions - Penalty of -2D
4 Actions - Penalty of -3D
5 Actions - Penalty of -4D
This continues on..
Spellcasting MAP:
If you are casting a spell you roll standard Spell Skill. If you succeed in the skill roll and it requires a throwing skill to hit your throwing skill will be at a -1D. If you FAIL your Spell Skill you have the option to continue channeling into the next round following standard Channeling rules or the spell just fails as normal and no other actions can be taken.

ok the majority has spoken we will leave rules as they are in the book.
We don't have any throwing spell casters anyhow so no biggie but will leave that rule as is. If the caster wants to try and cast and throw in same round they get -1D/-1D but if they fail their Tn to cast they spell they can forgo the throw and channel into next round with same penalties to cast and throw again.
