Several members of the party struggle and strain and lift the stone free of the floor. Underneath is a crudely dug cavity with a leather bag containing 870 gp.

Under the bag is a light green vestment garment, worn over normal clothing or armor. It is embroidered with plant and animal motifs, and emits an aura of moderate conjuration. When this item is worn by a character with the wild shape ability, the character can use that ability one additional time each day. Druid's Vestment; Slot body; Value 3,750 gp.

Afterwards he tries to move on the party. Ok, lets go investigate the next doors from the other room. The halfling starts undoing the barricade, opens the door carefully checking for dangers at the other side, and crosses the corridor, bow readied at hands, towards the next rooms at the east.

Uldar opens the door, and steps into the room...

Perhaps this was once a reception room or minor council chamber. Bits of wall coverings still dangle here and there, and a once fine hardwood sideboard is centered along the north wall. Atop it are various dirty dishes, a cask of beer, and bits of stale bread and dried meat. The entire length of the west wall is lined with piles of bedding, divided into pallets. A small wall font still trickles a sulphurous smelling water into a stone basin in the northwest corner. A stack of wood lies by the south door, possibly for use in some nearby fireplace. An alcove can be seen in the east wall, near the northeast corner.

The room is full of gnolls, as well as a fierce-looking bugbear in the alcove. 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 They appear to be arguing about something, and they do not notice the doors opening...

Uldar whisppers making some signal to the next door in front, at the other side of the corridor "Attention! I've heard something, they have heard us and are probably ready. Prepare yourself for the next assault."
He then crosses the corridor as silently as possible and in total defense stance.

Uldar waits a bit to check everybody is ready and following him, then he places himself against the wall north of the door and makes some signs for the others to shot as early as he opens. He then opens the door in a sudden and quick move, trying to expose his body as little as possible (hiding in the wall), and dodging at his best any incoming attack.

Uldar quickly opens the door, and you are immediately confronted by armed guards. They are armed with heavy crossbows and longswords. Each guard wears chain mail armor with a brown surcoat; each carries a shield covered in brown leather and bearing a black triangular boss. This triangle device is also sewn to their surcoats.

This room was obviously a guard room. Racks for weapons still remain on the eastern wall. A table with 4 chairs takes up the northwest corner. A water barrel, nearly full, stands beside the west door, with a bundle of ten torches beside it. A single torch burns on the south wall. Two candles light the table. On the tableare a jug and several ceramic mugs. Several pegs and hooks on the south wall hold old brown cloaks, a leather bag, and a shortbow with a quiver of five arrows.

Round 1:

Group 1: The Guards

As soon as the doors open, you are met by a volley of crossbow bolts! Two guards aim at Uldar, and three at Trane:

1 - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
2 - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
3 - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
4 - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
5 - 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

All of the bolts are shot astray, missing!

Uoo! I have to say that was a terrible roll for the guards :O

Uldar points towards the guard standing in front of him and releases a rapid flow of two arrows against him.
