Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

Yeah bud, we've all done it one time or another. It's all good and I'm with Mus'ad if you wanna do it over the way you wanted it. Either way I am enjoying this game a lot!

"Mus'ad let me know if you need any help with those beasts in there, I wouldn't mind trying out some of my new equipment." The paladin smirks and goes back to finishing his two projects.

Shanosuke:
Let me know the stats you want for the two items I am making tonight.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

I will consider redoing the encounter but technically all you need to know is already there. Just look it over again and tell me if it needs a redux.

Mus'ad:

Inside the jail you see several malformed Anubites chained to the walls. They look like they are in the process of metamorphasis. There are six in all and one of the ones visible that has a mostly humanoid body that but its face has formed jackal and its body sporting hair, has Faznir's turban and some of his flamboyat sashes. All these transforming anubites are chained to the wall and are snarling violently and pulling at their binds but to no avail.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mus'ad recoils from the spot where he was looking into the jail and has to uncoil his tagelmust so as to get more air to his face. His skin has taken on a sickly pallor before he moves to the jail's door and attempts to force it open with a desperate need...

Strength: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 -> then 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Door is open. In a tremendous feat of stength, Mus'ad has ripped the make shift door from its hinges. You have access to the jail.

Inside those of you who look see several chained and bound partial anubites are inside. From the looks of them, they are in the process of turning from whatever they once were into anubites.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Now that the door is ripped aside, Mus'ad's face grows even grimmer... he solemnly retrieves his curve blade and makes to move within, foul intent etched upon his face...

Pausing for people to weigh in before Mus'ad gets to slaughtering them.

Female Tiefling (Infernal Bastard) Witch 3

"Wait Musad, I think we should at least try to give them respite from their pains."

Jen casts slumber on each of them in turn before Mus'ad kills them, to try and give them some peace before they die. She recognizes Faznir's old turban.

"I'm sorry my friend."

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Arik manages only to let two tears roll down his beardless cheek. He sniffs hard once.

"I'm sorry Faznir my friend. I think death is the only kindness we have to offer you."

Arik nods for Mus'ad to make haste.

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

Hearing Arik's words the paladin puts down his tools and rushes to the jail house, "Dear lord of steel, it can't be...." He moves over his sleeping friend. And prays for his soul, and whispers "Sorry I couldn't protect you, may the Forge Father do better in your afterlife then I did in you real one." Steps back to Mus'ad "May I bless your blade before you do this unwanted deed."

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mus'ad pauses for Pavok giving him a few moments to perform his blessing.

Mus'ad then moves among the half-formed anubites with a silent and grim purpose. Those that sleep are beheaded, and those that don't are cut down within their chains. While he performs the grisly work, Mus'ad does not utter a sound and nor does he leave the jail until he is sure that the work is done. Only then does he clean his blade off on one of Faznir's scarves and return to the company of Al Gasreed.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Jen manages to put all the struggling and violent anubites to sleep. Mus'ad is clean and efficient in his mercy killing. After you are finished you notice Mhykir's robes laying off to the side also. given all the anubites were of one colour it was difficult to tell them apart. Though you can be sure, it is clear Mhykir was one of these horrors also.

There is nothing of value among the shambled belongings.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mus'ad has nothing further to do today... though tomorrow he'll do a circuit of the fort checking for tracks and recent movements.

F Human (Shoanti) Ranger (Falconer) 4 (HP 42/42)

The dark skinned woman remained silent as those around the fire interacted, still a bit uncomfortable that she was the only one among them who gawked like a frightened child. She began contemplating what the whole incident meant and whether or not staying with them was a good idea, considering the enemies they seem to have created while traveling these unfamiliar lands.

When Mus'ad finally wrenched the door open she joined the group in investigating the strange Anubite-chimeras that seemed to be in this small jail. She was rather confused when they were making a big deal until she began to catch on that some of their previous traveling companion, maybe even good friends, were among the chained dogs. Arik and Pavok seemed especially broken up about it.

Not really having anything to do with this, she let them have a moment of silence for their fallen comrades before offering a, "I'm sorry for your lose." It didn't sound as sympathetic as she would have liked, but she was never really good at this sort of thing. Nor was she interested in letting the sudden melancholy of the others get her in a heavy mood. There was ground to cover and they need rest. So, she returned to the fire, hoping to find a comfortable spot.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Silent and unmoving from his spot, Arik watches with no small amount of determination as Mus'ad performs his grizzly deed. Suddenly, the thought hit him, How easily could my shameless brother, Drugan share their fate?

Slowly, this sober thought fills the dwarf and when he can contain it no longer, he rushes to his bedroll where he lay sobbing until exhaustion finally releases him to sleep's embrace.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

I have decided not to redux the encounter with Sennessees. While the impact it was meant to have on the players was lost, everything you needed to know was there. That said, I will assume you sleep for the night.

Pavok:

Due to todays events, I am not allowing your character the concentration needed to do your work. you do not know this place is secure and the arrival of Senessees and Pharox would have caused you some level of insecurity. If you want to do weapon mods, I will require you to have a secure setting.

It is with heavy hearts that you lay your former fellows to rest. You probably scoure the camp and clean out the fort.

You shut the main gate so nothing can get in. You ready for the night.

The night is uneventful and when day comes around, it is time to decide your next course of action.

Perception DC 20:

Senessees dropped his sword and left it when he vanished.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

Sorry guys had a rough couple of days, I love working 18 hour days!Perception:1d20 ⇒ 19 Darn! Sooo Close!

As Pavok performs the rites of burial to his fallen comrades hoping the Forge Father will cure there souls in the after life. He thinks to himself, "I swear I will stop this lands corruption, and won't let this happen to any more them." He looks at the rest of his party and whispers with a clench jaw, "Never.." The paladin will take a piece of Mhykir's robe and Faznir's Turbin, "I will take these so you two can share our victory and get your vengence over the ones behind these place." After he finishes he sits back from the fire and wonders how that cursed mummy show'd appeared without his knowing, he falls asleep as he tries to figure things out.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 Doh! - should have taken 10...

Musa'd moves around the fort proper, looking for signs of movement and passage...

Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Aaand finds nothing :P

F Human (Shoanti) Ranger (Falconer) 4 (HP 42/42)

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20 Sweet!! I'm finding more things I can't us. XD
Based on what Shanosuke said, I'm assuming we've now transitioned into morning? If not, tell me and I'll repost

Catalina is rolling up her bed roll, when she notices something gleam at her from where the ominous figure had approached them the night before. Curiosity now peaked, she abandons her bed fixings and goes to investigate. Tegan swoops past her landing by the item, and squawks defensively at it. Catalina picks up the blade and examines it closely. With a smirk, she whispers, "Well, he was an ugly creature, but at least he had good taste..." She calls Tegan to her arm as she returns to the camp.

Not sure if the atmosphere was still heavy with saddened hearts, she wondered if this would be an inappropriate time to bring up her findings. At that she lay the sword next to her bag where she also decided to keep her other discovery. She then goes back to fixing up her bed for their next plan of action.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Arik sits up in his bedroll and stretches widely, scratches his chest and, yawns. His eyes follow Catalina to the gate and back. when she plops down a sword, he can't resist.

"What's that there?"

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

Working on his double spear again since the nights events have past, he looks up when Arik comments on the weapon, "Yes, where did you find such an intresting piece." He'll take a closer look and just judge the craftsmanship on it.

Craft(weapon):1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Both Martian Level 20 invader

The weapon is a Kopesh in remarkable good condition.

Pavok:

The weapon is old, ancient even but is in pristine condition. It is made of bronze and may hold additional unseen traits. You can already tell it is mastercrafted but has more to offer.

So far you all are chilling. I'm waiting to see what you all do next.

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

"It is a fine crafted blade you have found my dear but there is something odd about it, though thats beyond my understanding of the blade."

Pavok then stares at the strange weapon and focus's his sight too see if it threatens his group. After he finishes that, "We had a purpose clearing out this fort, we should make way to that village thats near by........though I do not remember if we know which direction it is in? Miss Catalina did you run across any settlements in your travels here? Since they might know more about the seer." After he gets a reply he'll then ask, "Arik, Samal, and Mus'ad how are your injuries? Since it is a new day I have some more healing if you need it." The human offers the group.

Doing my detect on the sword to see if evil powers are about it.
Also since I bandaged you guys up your nature healing goes up a little more during rest.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mus'ad returns from his circuit of the compound having found no real tracks. Addressing everyone "Should we go to the village that this group held sway over? If we show that the Anubite threat is gone they may provide a reward."

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

"I am a bit worse for where. If I could just lay low for a few more days, I'd be fine. However, we have work to do. That being the case, I will accept the Forge Father's healing."

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

"I'm just going to give you a little for now and after we finish traveling, I'll see about healing you more." He uses his lay on hands on his dwarven battle brother and then looks over at his battle sister, "Samal you have been quiet, do you require healing? And what do you think of us searching for that local town?" After hearing Mus'ad add in about the town, Pavok comments back to him "Or at least proper healers and we can get them armed to protect themselves."

Lay on hands:1d6 ⇒ 3

F Human (Shoanti) Ranger (Falconer) 4 (HP 42/42)

Catalina smiles at her find and lifts it for the others to see, "It seems our visitor from last night left us a parting present." She slips it in her nap sack "I look forward to seeing how it might assist us." She quickly finishes packing up and waits for the others.

"I came from a village not too far from here, I'm sure they'll be more than pleased with what has happened here. Pavok, before we leave..." She shows him the spear she found, "What can you tell me about this?"

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

"Bring it here, hmmm intresting weapon where did you pick this up?" He takes the spear and looks it over.

Craft(weapons):1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

As he looks over the weapon he asks Catalina, "So whats the village like?"

F Human (Shoanti) Ranger (Falconer) 4 (HP 42/42)

"I found it among the camp yesterday." She looks at it, not really sure what to make of its value other than the fact that it looked better taken care of than those that surrounded it. "It seemed to good to pass up."

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mu'sad gives his agreement to seek out Catalina's village, and leaves the others to the investigation of the sword. He instead goes to Al Gasreed to groom his faithful camel.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Sorry for dely. Got Addicted to Mass Effect 3. Done now back to PBPs

Pavok:

You can tell the spear is great quality but doesn't quite as good as Sennessees sword. I hate that mummy's name. Can't seem to spell it just right.

Okay you guys follow Catalina to the village. With the mounts it takes half a day to get to the village. It is small agrocultural village.
You all enter the vilalge and you get quite a few stares.

As you ride into the village a single elderly man approaches you.
"Greetings. Welcome to our humble village. How did you get past the anubite raids?"

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mu'sad remains atop Al Gasreed as they approach the village, and addresses the elderly man from on high, stating simply "We did not go past, we went through... leaving them dead in our wake."

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

"Thank you for hospitality, as my friend stated we took out there fort slay...we took out the enemy. We left a stockpile of weapons within it. If you wish to arm your village with them me and the "mighty" Mus'ad wouldn't mind escorting as long as your local healer helps my battle brother and sister." He points to Samal and Arik.

Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Both Martian Level 20 invader

I was hoping to get another post but I see you guys pretty much covered everything.

The man seems shocked. "You mean the anubite threat is gone for good? Then we are free! Free of both the anubites and Senessese. This calls for a celebration. My I ask the names of our heros?" his gaze sweeps the party and pauses at Samal. He takes a step back. "Is...she on your side? She won't attack us will she?"

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

"Of course not, Samal is one of the heroes that help liberate your town from those anubinite scum." As he boasts about Samal he pats her on the back and gives a reassuring smile to the townfolk.

"And I am Pavok Kor'tell a humble warrior of the Forge Father, Torag." He does a slight bow as he says that.

Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mu'sad is relatively dismissive of the man as he dismounts and begins tending to Al Gasreed, combing out any tangles in his coat - happy to leave any discussion to the others.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Others? You mean just Pavok. Arik, Jen, and Catalina seemed to have abandoned me :(

The elder seems confused at Pavok but he calms down. "I do not know this Torag but he seems a benevolent sort sending you to liberate us from the anubite threat. Praise Torag!"

The people shout behind him. "Praise Torag!"

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Arik grins widely at such open acceptance of the forge father among humans. He leans in to Pavok and says:

"This is indeed a strange place!"

I haven't abandoned anyone, just waiting 'til Arik would do something.

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

Pavok gives a smile to his friend and shispers back, "Indeed, but at least they are excepting of the Forge father."

He holds up his hammer to the crowd, "Yes praise to him for bringing us here to help you all. Come let us celebrate and I will tell you more of him and by the way do you all have a blacksmith within town?"

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

While Mus'ad tends to his camel, he casts his eyes over the village, seeing if any hold weapons or have experience at battle...

Perception take 10: 21

Both Martian Level 20 invader

The man looks depressed. "We used too but he packed up and fled many years ago. His forge is in disarray and we have not the tools nor the talent in which to repair it."

Looking over these people it is clear they are nothing more than pesants and farmers. They would be worthless in any sort of fight. The village itself seems barely able to sustain itself and appears to be on its last legs.

The only individual that seems out of place is a oread male who has an excellent physique and a stern and serious expression.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Arik motions, as slyly as possible, for Mus'ad and the rest to note the Oread, then he speaks to the elder.

"The first and only thing required by Torag is a forge. If Pavok and I can repair yours, we will."

If nothing else need their attention, I suggest Pavok and Arik head over to the forge and see what, if anything we can actually do.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

After a time with his camel, Mus'ad seeks out the oread and gives him a small nod by way of greeting... waiting for the man to say the first word or make the first motion.

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

"Yes let us see what we can do for it, and as long as I got my apprentice with me." Pavok pats the dwarf on the back. "So your town has no other means of defense?"

If they don't have anymore questions for us, I will have them lead me to the ill-kept forge.

F Human (Shoanti) Ranger (Falconer) 4 (HP 42/42)

time to play a little catch up... ^^;;

Catalina took a quick glance around the village. It was very small, seemingly only occupied by farmers. "I'd forgotten how small this place was," she whispers to no one in particular, "a descent reward is unlikely to be received from these villagers..." she felt slightly disappointed, but decided not to bring up, again.

The villagers didn't seem to remember her from her last visit, but at the same time she didn't remember the Oread's presence from her last visit, either. She waits for the crowd to either disband or follow the 'forge children' before approaching a village elder, "May I ask who that young man is over there? The one speaking with my companion with the camel."

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Mus'ad:

The oread man simply nods. He appears to aprove of your skills. He himself stand stoic but does seem to respect your ability. Though he says nothing else.

The elder gestures to the crowd and a boy hustles over. He addresses the boy. "Yaman be a good boy and show these two men to the forge."
The boy nods cheerfully. "Yes elder." Turning to Pavok and Arik. "Come I will take you to my uncle's forge." The boy leads the way.

Pavok and Arik:

You arrive at the forge. It is covered in dust and dirt. There is a little over growth about too. It clearly has not seen use for a long time. The only tools that remain are the anvil, furnace and a smelter. Even the hammer is gone. There are no coals for which to feul the flames. To get it working you will need a source of feul for the flames, water and a water basin, and of course all the crafting and shaping tools.

Catalina:

At your question about the Oread, the elder leans in. "Don't know. He showed up here a week ago. He hasn't been to demanding and we were hoping if we were hospitible enough he would help us deal with the anubites. Now I think we will let him be." Catalina you do not remember this guy very well from when you were last here. He was real easy to ignore then as he never said nor did anything.

Male Dwarf (Pahmet) Ranger (Warden / Trapper) 2

Mus'ad beckons Al Gasreed to follow and makes his way towards whatever looks to be the local tavern or eatery. As he moves, he looks to the Oread with a wordless invitation.

Male Human(Kellid) Paladin(Hospitaler)-4

"Yamen, do you know where your uncle got his coal and fuel for the forge? I got my own tools to work with and if I can get it going make some for who ever wishes to take it over. Did your uncle teach you much about forging?" Pavoks says as he examines the forge and starts to lay out his weapons and tools. He cracks his knuckles and looks over to Arik, "Let's get to work, my battle brother."

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Comfortable with this kind of manual labor, Arik clears debris and generally cleans up the forge.

Both Martian Level 20 invader

Mus'ad:

You head to what's left of the town's dingy tavern. Once in side you find a table and take a seat. The oread joins you in the tavern. Aside from the two of you there is no one else in here. The oread makes his way into the kitchen and emerges a few moments later with two bottles.
He sets one in front of you and pops the cork on his and takes a swing. "Gan Braks. Former military major and deserter." He takes another swig and looks at you as if waiting for a response.

Pavok and Arik:

Yamen sighs. "Uncle used to use fire salts from east of Aridia before the war started. Then he had to make do with wood and whatever coals traders brought. Then the anubites came and made it dangerous to look for feul sources so he left." He looks at Pavok. "My uncle taught me a little but not much." Arik sets about cleaning up the forge. It goes rather smoothly.

Arik:

You find a dwarven pendant with your family emblem on it while cleaning.

Male Dwarf Barbarian 2 Monk 2

Arik picks up a pendant from the debris of the forge and wipes away the grime.

"Torag's Beard!"

Without a word to Pavok or Yamen, Arik flies from the smithy and runs for the village elder. When he finds him, Arik interjects into whatever he is doing and takes him by the shirt.

"The dwarf who had this!? Where is he? He is my size, with a beard. WHERE IS HE?"
